The Collector's Edition boxart is black and white. I know because it influenced my decision as to which version to preorder :sly:

lol! Shows how much I know! :dunce:

I really want to believe it, but it really doesn't make sense to just release the biggest PS3 title will little to no marketing. Wouldn't a few adds or something have popped up by now?

A surprise/quick release wouldn't be good because they have obviously put a lot of money into the game. I just don't see the logic in Sony for GT5.

Trying to think about this logically, they don't run ads too far from release. TV ads are very expensive to run, sometimes upwards of $1,000,000. for ten seconds of air time. IF they're going to start running ads, it will probably be about two weeks before the game comes out, with the longer, larger ads coming out closer to release.

This means we SHOULD see them sometime soon, along with official announcements for a release date. This is how it usually works with almost every major game release. I wouldn't be surprised if they bust out Kevin Butler for the GT5 ads, which means they have to pay the actor(s) and staff, as well as the producer, and company that edits the ad and puts it all together, and then the airtime on top of that.

Very expensive stuff, this is why they don't run the ads well before the game is out.

Geez. Imagine how much raging we'd be doing right now if the game didn't leak. Sony HQ would be burned to the ground already

Its defo viral. Those guys were locked in. Which means they will get caught.
Its defo viral. If was in the posistion to steal a copy of one of the most anticipated game that may ever be released i would be smart enough to sign out of the psn network.

Just a thought.

Nope, this is official date. Sony's official distributor in India confirmed it. i.e Milestone Interactive.

indian?

Remember, we first got word of the delay from a random Russian blog. As long as this isn't citing some retailer placeholder it's worth looking into. The crappy site is taking forever to load though :grumpy:

That's the same website that confirmed the Signature edition.

No harm of a little laugh , Or not :scared: !!

No harm in a laugh but getting the thread locked again after mods have said several times to stay on topic is not a laughing matter. Not trying to be too harsh but the mods are pretty serious about staying on topic.Better for you to get warned by me(someone who has no rank here whatsoever)than a mod get you and you getting into trouble for violating the Aup.

"Sony has confirmed to retailers via its official Indian distributor that Gran Turismo 5 is confirmed for a November 24 release, and since India is part of the SCEE territory, chances are that this is also the date for Europe and the Middle East. Bangalore-based retailer GameZen received the release confirmation from Milestone Interactive (the distributor) and posted the information in the vendors’ section of the IVG forums. They have since been contacted by Milestone and directed to hold off on taking orders."

And with that, I'm now nursing a semi :dopey:

I believe it. The week of Black Friday/Thanksgiving. The latter being the only holiday this month which was said from someone else about the release of GT5. It's a no brainer we'll get a date within a week or so, and it'll be that week, the last week of this month.

Yesterday, a Danish gaming site posted news about GT5 which said the game may be released in the last week of November in India. Theu did not mention their sources but they did say that India share release dates with the UK.
