When you say they can't give us a date, are you suggesting they know the date but are somehow not allowed to tell us yet? Coz it's the feeling I have right now, so just curious.
I have the feeling that they have an 'gentlemen's agreement' to not spoil both COD:BO and NFS HOT pursuit launch...

You're right, this is more or less what i was thinking, something is definitely keeping Sony from telling us anything. They know how badly people want information, and im pretty sure they wouldn't intentionally keep stuff from us for no good reason this late in the release stage.
From my point of view there is no competition for GT5, I just buy a PS3 just so I can play it. But when you look at the full picture it's different. GT5 will get more attention than these games, and there is big money at play.
What are the chances that this whole things is like the iPhone 4 stunt. The game sure is getting publicity this way and only the smallest amount of footage is being leaked that doesn't really reveal anything crazy we didn't know before.
I really doubt that. If so, their attempt is failing miserably. First, the video's don't have the hit count of a viral video.. That in itself is a failure. Second, they would have let Jordan leave the previous video's up. Third, Giving the game to a couple of nobody's wouldn't draw much attention. Fourth, why would a electronic giant with billions of revenue at their disposal go with a costless stunt like this. Fifth, this website doesn't get that much traffic compared to a television ad running @ prime time, nor do any of the other websites its been posted on, minus maybe you-tube.com itself. Fact is, these guys have a real copy. If I were to have a copy myself, I wouldn't share jack with nobody. Spoilers spoil the fun of getting the game and discovering the stuff for yourself. I wouldn't feel right blowing that feeling of....." man.... wow that's awsome...." from everyone.
Remember that there could be some other reason Sony isn't telling us anything, perhaps something to do with the Madrid launch party, or some logistics reason. Those other games are multi-platform after all and so PD can argue this with EA.
Exactly.. Sony doesn't promote it as much as other games because of its Established name. Older gamers will recognize the name, and pick it up automatically, newer gamers will likely recognize the game and buy it" Its called "Brand power" or something like that in the biz.

can you tell that to them please mate?? i think they didnt use the Snooze mode at their alarms...they are in deep sleep...and some other allready plays GT5 as we speak..i mean come on ... how can i feel when i allready paid off my signature..that not fair at all
People saying Sony is not marketing GT5... the Hood sponcership on the Race car is not be cheap for Joey's car. They are going to sell more copies by having the drama they are making now. They have targeted the market they wish to sell to car guys/gals they have the race sim at the shows ect. Nascar big in the states ect then add the pre orders Sony knows what is up.
GT6 content being made now will not be coming out anytime soon plenty of time for more hype
