The fun part is making it a nimble machine that can hang with the others. That's what GT is all about to me, turning unlikely cars into class-leaders.

I always enjoyed that "challenge" as well. 👍

As I said, there are companies that specialize on making wheels for performance cars (such as OZ which i making brilliant wheels for rally cars) but apart from those few companies the rest are just a shiny piece of metal, heavy metal :)

Sorry.. Untrue

If they are made of Aluminium , then they are already better than showroom wheels made of steel.

I cannot think of any aftermarket wheels that are made from steel..

OZ are a well known wheel brand, and they are used in many forms of motorsport. However , there are literally hundreds of brands that are every bit as good as OZ.

This is like saying.. Sparco make the best racing seats because they are called Sparco.

I have saw so many posts on here about the wheels it is hard to believe.

For those of you going on about being able to change wheels in GT 4 and talking about performance. In GT4 the wheels were cosmetic only. They had 0 effect on performance.
I would not be surprised to see that you can indeed swap wheels on standards but would not be broken hearted if you can not.

IRL wheels do make a difference for better or for worse and is nice to have the option both for cosmetic reasons and for performance reasons. I also think it should be realistic unlike Forza which allows you to put wide race tires on your car even though you are still runnign stock rims which of course is not possible in the real world. Can you imagine having a set of P265 racing tires on a 14x7 inch rim? That would not work very well at all.

why people only talk about that ugly veyron??? there more sweeters cars on the globe....

Agree, a few for example:

Koenigsegg CCX
Pagani Zonda S
Aston Martin DBS
Aston Martin DB7
Aston Martin DB5
Lamborghini Diablo SV
DeTomaso Pantera
all Venturis
Saab Aero-X concept
Audi RS2
Ford Sierra Cosworth
Ford Mustang 67 Shelby GT500

Lancer Evo Tommi Mäkinen edition

These cars are just the premium ones!
Also the dealership just shows brands with premium cars.

Buggati could still be in, as well as Koenigsegg and as well as Gumpert and all the other brands we don't know anything about yet.

The F50 could be in, too. As a standard model apparently, as well as the Dino and the Lambo Diablo and others.

So, relax!

If I am wrong, I'll be very curious to know why they decided to put in the SP1 instead of a more famous car like the F50. It's not even a real Ferrari, more like a unique tuning car that I think looks not really good for Ferrari standards.

Turns out that it was true that fingerhut.com was selling the CE yesterday, for $135!! I sent them a message to make sure they had it and they responded saying they did, but it's sold out now.

I didnt order it for that price anyway, but its definitely not just a handful of people that have the game now, many people do, its just amazing though that this is happening all without a release date. Never seen this before.

 No, that's not true. Yes, they claim they have the game in stock. Yes, they're offering it for sale. BUT, after some initial confusion, and confirmed by at least 2 people, they are not allowed to ship it out until the 23rd of November. If they're sold out it simply means that all the copies they have sitting in stock are spoken for. But they're still sitting there.

So, assuming the game is released on the 23rd, and Fingerhut is going by whatever SCEA has told them, if you order it from Amazon for the $99 price and release day delivery, you'll probably get it before the people who bought it from Fingerhut. And for less money. Part of me wonders if Fingerhut was just naive when they listed the game on their website as 'in stock'. And part of me thinks they knew exactly what they were doing and managed to successfully price gouge a lot of people who didn't ask the right questions.

I'm guessing over the next week or two, a lot of people will try to cancel their Fingerhut orders.

Still, it's a bit maddening to think that Fingerhut already has the game in stock and a lot of big guys like Amazon or Gamestop don't. Or at least, they're keeping very tight lipped about it. I mean, has anybody even heard of Fingerhut before?

I don't think the Bugatti Veyron is in.

As you can see there's no Bugatti badge in premium car dealership.

If it's in, would be standard.

it seems to me that the level indicator on the botom states that this is all you can buy at that level, and probably the brands that don't have any cars you can buy at that level aren't listed yet.

sound quite logical to me...

the higher the level the more cars you can buy, so if there's a car or brand missing this doesn't mean its not in the game.....

I mean, has anybody even heard of Fingerhut before?
Oh yeah. They have been around for a long time and everything they sell is either overpriced or garbage and overpriced. I also believe that they knew what they were doing and were trying to make a quick buck by miss leading customers into thinking they could get the game now rather than later. I hope they get sued but they will likely get away with the deception.

Would make sense, but you can't read anything into it as different people are all being given different information.

If Suppliers were at the point of beginning to distribute the game, a lot more shops would be giving you the same story. As it is, very few shops can agree on anything which tends to make me think they haven't been informed of when it's going to arrive.

no i work for Sony so i need to censore the s*** out of it ;) (kidding of course, i edited)

I think i will reply him, that if it arrives tomorrow, he should call me back and i will buy a copy.
The guy from munich can be happy, he can go fetch his copy directly in augsburg. I will probably need to wait for the delivery.
If all this is true
