I do share the enthusiasm of having a go at the Diablo as I was so jealous when I saw it only in the NTSC-J copy of GT3. It also fixes the problem of "No Diablos" in GT5 :D

Hopefully we can change the paint on the GT4 racecars. I want a smurf blue Diablo so badly

Really? Even if I preordered in the store? Crap, I'm going to have to go check it out tomorrow. I hope my store will be getting the Collectors Edition. I might have to opt out for the Standard Edition if that's the case.

I don't know about preordering in the store. I just preordered mine online to avoid talking the people that work there and I couldn't find any way to make it in store pickup. Plus back then it was coming out on Nov 2 and not the day before Thanksgiving so I wasn't worried.

hmm being as this Thread has jumped 40 flippin pages since I last looked i'm guessing we now have a Confirmed Release Date :dopey:

Thanks to Everyone on here for keeping me entertained and to the People who Predicited the Correct Date 👍

And a Huge thanks to Jordan for this Site and all the Information it holds 👍

Hopefully if Sony don't screw this Release Date up me an a Few Million Others will get to Enjoy the Game

EDIT: Read About the Release Date 24th huh Yehaaaaaaaaa:tup:

Car List is fine by me plenty to play with and Monza as a GT5 track is a much Wellcome Addition

I will. I just came from a Gamestop and their system is not updated to reflect Nov 24. Theirs still said Jan 1. I told them I will come back when their system updates. I preordered at Best Buy which is 30 mins away (one I know that do midnight releases) but the game stop near is like 2 minutes up the road. I was told they are doing a midnight release and if so I will order there as well and cancel BB. I can be playing GT in 10 minutes vs 1 hr. So yes I will without a doubt be at GS for a midnight purchase. I will be there at 11:45pm hoping to get it early.

I think i'll be doing a midnight release as well.

I don't work on Wednesday and the store i pre-ordered mine at are doing one.

More than likely i won't even go to sleep that night. :dopey:

From what people have been saying, it might be the Collectors Edition is gonna be delayed a day or two. I hope not, because I'd like to get my copy on the 24th and not the 26th when I'd have to deal with the rush at the store.

if that is infact true, here's my remedy..i'm going to have to preorder the original, pick that up as soon as that comes out, play until my CE version arrives and return the original copy. You have up to two weeks...i got this in the bag, either way i'm playing on launch day!

do you agree that PD needs to ether higher more people to help them with future gt games .. or does Sony just needs to find a new company to continue the gt series ... ??

What? Gran Turismo is the best selling Playstation exclusive ever! It's influenced actual real life car sales and is one of reasons why the GT-R, Impreza and Lancer are in the US, now.

Game for game, it's the best selling racing franchise EVER

NFS=6.7 million units per game
GT = 8142857 units per game on average

(NOTE: NFS has a 3 year head start on GT and twice the games.)

Sure, it's has the most highest production cost of any racing game, but it usually makes up the money in console and game sales pretty fast.

The way I think of the standards are as a bonus. The premiums outnumber the cars in almost every racing game, and they're incredibly well modeled, with ridiculously full damage and everything.

The other 800+ standards are just the icing on the cake. They could've left them out, but it was so easy to just bring them along from previous games that you might as well.

👍

how did it bring the GTR, impreza, and lancer to NA?? explain please

And if you think you're right, then say something. Go on, say it. Say your thoughts on this whole S/P theory. No? I thought so.

Exacly, theory, and thats all we can come with now cause none af us know.
But no offence or anything but I don't think your theory adds upp... :)

If my signature edition will be delayed , I think I'm going to buy the CE version if that one is available. Although , I've got an email from the shop were I ordered it , and they say it will arrive at 24Nov. But it says that they cant be responsible for the mail company , don't know how to call it. Like the UPS and DHL guys.
The post company is on strike next week (16th) , so I hope they will be back to work before the 24th. Otherwise I will try to pick it up at the shop.

I've just noticed that the very old cars haven't been carried over from GT4 - e.g. the Ford Model T and the Daimler Motor carriage.
