I think the "stunt arena" is the Top Gear special events.

If that's what they define it as, which seems unlikely. When I think stunt arena, I think of the X Games Rally. An arena basically signifies that it is some sort of stadium.

Wonder if we will get previews from Sony in the coming weeks on some of the features-I would like to learn a bit more about the Track Generator and Stunt Arena

-.- That kinda sucks.

@GranTurism05

Could you ask your friend to make a list of tracks ?

10km is a little over 6 miles. That's not that bad really, considering most of the tracks, save LeMans, Nurburgring and Cape Ring are going to be around 2-3 miles.

Sorry if this question is common knowledge by now, but I asked a few days ago and nobody answered me, and I don't have time to read through the past couple hundred pages. So here goes:

Do the new car dealerships only sell premium cars? Do ALL standard cars have to be purchased from the used car lot?

I've read a couple of times that that is the case, and if it is, then it's a game breaker for me. 800+ cars that are only able to be purchased on random days and not whenever you like is not a good thing. And what about cars like the Veyron? That would just be utter stupidity to not sell it in the new car dealerships. I'm as hyped for the game as one can be, but this is worrying me big time right now so I'd appreciate if someone more knowledgeable can sort me right.

'Gran Turismo 5 is an ambitious project, with challenges and complexities which have made it our version of the Apollo Space Program! When we created the original Gran Turismo back in 1997, we wanted to set a completely new precedent for the racing genre. With the technological leap onto PlayStation 3, our objective with Gran Turismo 5 was to create another great revolution which would not only satisfy our own high expectations, but would meet or even exceed the anticipation of the fans. Satisfying the loyal Gran Turismo followers is at the heart of all of our efforts, which is why it was such a difficult decision to delay the release of the game, and one which we did not take lightly. I can only apologize to everyone for making you wait so long, and I hope that when you try out the wealth of driving experiences available in Gran Turismo 5, you will not be disappointed.'

That was Kazunori's statement when announcing the new release date, and I must say I'm so excited about this game, I'm putting all of the bad things that are popping up from these forums aside, because at the end of the day the games coming in 11 days, and I've never been so hyped up for it.

Where is New York? I was playing that **** a couple of weeks ago at the Aussie motor show. Why would it not be there?

Also what happened to those claims that the Stelvio Pass was gonna be there? Boo.

Won't say my thoughts on the car list other than theres a looooot of cars from the Early 00's (reused from GT4).

The videos i have seen suggest that standard cars are sold as new at the dealerships alongside the premiums

Just to note that, but at 0:56, isn't that El Capitain?
Maybe it's just a video made by PD, but it's strange... I hope they saved some tracks for surprise effect eheh
Yes. The thing is: this video wasn't even supposed to be released (as the mods said).
My theory is that PD wanted to put this track (and many others) in GT5 but for some reason they couldn't. They realized it after they sent the Horsepower video to Redbull as a gift. Unfortunately Redbull already uploaded the video on their website, Sony and PD requested them to erase the video since it included unfinished material, but it was too late...Jordan and other people (:P) already copied it and showed it everywhere on the internet.

Where is New York? I was playing that **** a couple of weeks ago at the Aussie motor show. Why would it not be there?

Indeed, something is fishy regarding the tracks..........

DLC? I know I'd pay handsomely for Motegi and Infineon.

My friend ..! :nervous:

Are you able to snatch any information or media (more pictures, videos) from him?
Or like all other users who happen to have obtained a copy of GT5 he will keep his mouth shut?
It's frustrating that people are playing the game and yet we know basically nothing of its key features.

Anyone else a little disappointed by the cars and tracks?

I mean.

800 cars from GT4, they added 200 more, called them premium!

And lack of tracks, an egg is an egg whether is it scrambled, fried or poached!

So we got 20 odd tracks only, some are rally/oval, so not that many for pure racing style.

Is there an HD direct feed version of the intro on the net yet?

why are 2 RX-7's premium, a 95 and a 96? Both are the same body style, same trim level.

I'm confused about something. Why are all the Miata's listed as standard when there was video recently showing one with an interior?

It's all good man. :)

obviously we're all misinformed and the ones with a copy of GT5 won't say a word for some reason. So, for all I know, every single car has an interior.

who want's a list of premium cars?

*List of random cars including both Standard and Premium*

there ya go .. 220 cars

👎:grumpy:Thanks for nothing, why post misinformation when everyone can already see at first glance this list is just completely inaccurate and false?
The list is on the news page people, don't get your hopes up.

Anyone here live in Canada or better yet, Edmonton? Just wondering if Blockbuster is reliable with day 1 releases. I want to make sure I have a copy at hand on the first day~

I live in Edmonton but I don't know :D

why are 2 RX-7's premium, a 95 and a 96? Both are the same body style, same trim level.

i would guess that you have answered your own question...probably because its easy to do when you already have the same body etc (less work)

I'm confused about something. Why are all the Miata's listed as standard when there was video recently showing one with an interior?

This. But it might not be updated on this list yet, could be premium on official site. Like the f40.

Basically we're going to have DLC.
That's what I hope but where is THE proof there will be DLC for GT5 other than the chrome/stealth cars? (Free or paid I don't care, I would even pay a total of 160€ for all the tracks in GT5P's weather locations + premium supercars and hot cars missing)
Did I miss it?

there ya go .. 220 cars

You missed the Ferrari F10 '10

Apart from that, there's my garage right there.........

Basically we're going to have DLC.

And we'll have it opening day with cars from the C.E., S.E. and the cars that some will get from pre-ordering it at some locations. None of these are on the car list.
