im happy with the way the standard cars look so far, the premiums just are a bonus to me. (i know this is not the case with some most people)

Thats my way of looking at it too:
The standard cars aren't ugly, Their pretty, but the premiums are just that much prettier.

Video of demo unit in Japanese store. Looks intense!
Super GT GT-R, Pro physics, R2 tyres all round, active steering off, traction control at 5

I hate how the onscreen wheel does not reflect the intensity....

Wow no indicator to brake or switch to a lower gear. This will be intense for sure since I don't use the driving line that is what I use until I get used to the track.

yea it definately is a downer the negative people, did you see those pics by RDK, i mean tell me where in the world any game developer even has come close to those graphics, and detail. never enough for some, i am satisfied to the fullest, imagine it on a 1080P HD 46inch with surround sound, well im pumped, nothing gonna get me down.

So you're saying it's okay for developers to cut essential content in order to have 1080p 60fps graphics? Sorry to say, but it's people like you that have made this video game gen saturated with filth.

Technically they could have hardcoded in some sort of timer lock. When they program it they could set a lock on the disc that doesn't open content until the PS3 thinks it is the 23rd or something.

You could bypass this by changing the time on your console, which is simple, but you would have to know that the timer was there and that you needed to change the time.
I heard about this with a game last year, the developer said Sony wouldn't allow such a move because they have to assume some people are stupid enough to have the wrong time and date set on their consoles.

That would mean people that dont have their ps3 connected to the internet wouldnt have a full version they paid for so the answer is no.

True bill. Silly me. Im almost certain i seen the pro physics option in gameplay videos from a while back so why is not in the leaked videos we've seen? Or have i missed it?

That's a bit harsh don't you think? It's people like you that kinda ruin the GTPlanet experience for the rest of us.

Now back on topic. Sauber Mercedes C9 vs Peugeot 908 on that SSR 7 at night with rain.

My family would probably have to check me in for an addiction problem...:)

It's still there, flashes red to the left of the gear number. Can't remember if you could ever disable this, you could always stick a piece of tape over that part of the screen ;)

What "essential content" are you talking about?

I always loved the gear change indicator. Sometimes though it gave me a gear too low. I think they just take an average of all the gear ratios of all the cars and come up with a gear number for every turn based on that.

The bottom line to PD from all the complaints :
We want more content and we are ready to pay for quality content!! (i hope DLC gets integrated to GT-mode)

It's true though. I don't want to be mean but I cannot comprehend how people can be satisfied with a game that puts graphics over content. Now PD applied this to GT5 and are getting away with it.

How have graphics been put ahead of content? This is the most content-rich racing game available, regardless of what is and isn't in it still.

Exactly what content are we missing? :dunce:

and don't say standard and premium.

You haven't even played the game. What the 🤬 are you talking about?

Agreed, over 1000 cars (even if they are from old games). What other racing sim comes even slightly close? I dont know how he can say the game is devoid of content.

@KidSnipe: Well we all can't say for sure what PD put in and took out until the physical game is actually spinning in our PS3s and is displayed before our eyes.

Until then people just need to take a step back breathe, and also realize GT5 is just another game (is it heretical what I just said?).

be patient. In order for them to make DLC, they need to recoup some money by way of sales. They've been spending money left and right for the last 6 years. They need to get the game out and let people pay them back for what they've spent, in order for them to afford making DLC. I want more tracks and cars too. Imagine a track pack, or manufacturer pack, or something. GT is a series that will probably stay in my playlist until I'm old and gray, unlike other genres that I've grown out of. I owe so much to GT.

Why you gotta hate son Its a lot of people who are excited and here you come trying to kill the buzz .GT5 will be the best racer when it comes out.

I can see a combo track and car pack...something like a Spa and a new Pagani and Lambo thrown in for $5 bucks.

Name me any racing sim that offers as much content as what GT5 is offering. I swear some of you complainers are just acting like spoiled primadonas.

uhh have you looked at the track and car list? There are nearly hundreds of the exact same car that could have been replaced with iconic cars that should have been in. Also, less tracks than GT4 is completely unacceptable. Weather and time changes don't even apply to over half of the tracks. But hey, if that means we get a game in 1080p I guess it's okay...

Everyone ignore the complainers, they just kill the fun, so far with all the little disappointments from the leaked copy all of them together hasn't made much difference for me.

Still GT5 still gonna be amazing.

10 more days.

Yeah...you're missing online, photomode, track editor, head-tracking, 3D, and so much more...but yeah, GT5 is had it's content horribly cut.

and also realize GT5 is just another game QUOTE]

Give this man a medal. people get so hyped up and aggrevated over something that takes place inside their TV screens

I don't know about me getting a medal.

But people sometimes just get caught up in the hype when a huge game is about to release.

Luckily I had school to keep me anchored and focused.
