uhh have you looked at the track and car list? There are nearly hundreds of the exact same car that could have been replaced with iconic cars that should have been in. Also, less tracks than GT4 is completely unacceptable. Weather and time changes don't even apply to over half of the tracks. But hey, if that means we get a game in 1080p I guess it's okay...

Well then don't buy it. Many people are indeed happy with the amount of content. Are there a few cars and tracks missing? Yes. But, there is no denying that there is more content than you can shake a stick at. $60 is a bargain for this game.

The GT logo in the signature edition appears to be white/bright, compared to the leaked copy which has a slightly darker greyish colour.

Could the leaked copy be an early copy which doesn't have all the tracks, cars, final damage etc?

Good spot :)

Im just sad i get a grey cover instead of a red-ish one hehe. Besides that, i wont speculate on why or what difference it makes, but it isnt the same cover. My wife even saw that from the kitchen o.O

It's true though. I don't want to be mean but I cannot comprehend how people can be satisfied with a game that puts graphics over content. Now PD applied this to GT5 and are getting away with it.

And I see you're a fan of F1 games. F1 2010, the game so difficult to drive on the PS3 that a wheel is a necessity, no?

$CHN!TZ3L has a good point, though...what "essential content" is GT5 missing? Axels? Engines? Tires?

people, please...what about driving physics?

That is the big mystery right now, and I'm afraid, once again, can only be revealed once we all get a copy. Or if the people that already have the game can post videos that explicitly show physics options.

Everyone ignore the complainers, they just kill the fun, so far with all the little disappointments from the leaked copy all of them together hasn't made much difference for me.

You no like, you no buy, simples :)
Yeah, let's just have a forum full of people where the only opinion you can have is a positive one...

Yes, GT5 is going to be a great game. Yes, there is a lot of good that can be said about the features. However, there is also a lot that is not so good, and almost inexcusable in this day-and-age. Standard and Premium cars for one...not that I care from a visual perspective, but they create a huge split in the game because of their inherent limitations. An extra 80 premiums would have been far better than 800 standards, especially if you got rid of the ridiculous amount of repetition in the list.

stop arguing over premium/standard. PS3 doesn't have a legit racing game like PS1 and 2 had and PS3 has been out for 5 freaking years. I'll take the standards for now and be plenty happy for 2 or 3 years. GT6 will be the definitive PS3 racing game if the past repeats like it will.

Getting rid of the standards or repetitions would not increase the premium car count because they did not have to be remodeled. I think of the standards as a bonus. This is PD way of giving both quality and quantity. If you do not like it, then don't buy it and stop complaining.

I have played the GT5 demo the physics are the truth!

The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth so help you god?

Edit: Wow I'm a happy camper today. Even with all the buzz kills going around the forums, they still don't tarnish GT5 in my opinion.

EditL @Rotorist: Yeah I saw the list and I didn't see the HSV-010 GT500. Most likely not gonna be in. Sorry :guilty:

But in hindsight, the HSV-010 is an all new race car just recently developed, so I guess Honda must still be really secretive about all the car specifics that GT5 would want to have.

not to burst any bubbles, but maybe that white GT logo is reflective? thats why it might look different. I hope not.

Does anyone know whether the G27 paddles will work with GT5?

It seems like people would rather have just the 221 premium cars than include the standards. The standards will be just fine, and look even better than they did in GT4 because of the upscaled graphics. PD didn't have to include them, and I for one am glad they did!

the GT5 demo sucks. Though I think it was the TVs fault. They were pretty crappy HDTVs. Lots of jaggies and blurry stuff. GT5P on my TV looks 5,000x better than the GT5 demo at Best Buy does.

👍 I can't see everyone fitting into one style of physics in open online races. The two different settings on GT5P seperate players into two totally different kinds of racers, and I doubt either group wants to race with the other

The demo had no physics settings?

or, at least they give opinion...but i think all settings will substitute standare or pro physics...i mean...without controls it will be pro...but rollover is for all cars, right?

This is what I'm wondering too, but surely they wouldn't go to the bother of replicating the feel of each car in such detail (hence the long wait) just for standard physics?

I don't think there's anything to worry about, I'm sure it'll be enough of a challenge for those who want to make it as realistic as possible.

Roll on the 24th!

I believe the Best Buy tellys are 1080i. 1080i looks like crap.

I think rollover is just for premiums, but then again I haven't really kept up with GT news for a while. Can someone better informed than me answer his question?

are you sure about rollo9ver?

Why would they film something in Paris when the Paris track isn't in the game ?

This is what I'm speculating as the track list not being completed on that official track list.

Speaking of which, have they ever removed more than 3 tracks in each GT game that came out?

Does anybody know if the gamesave file has copy protection? I want to be able to backup my gamesave regulary just incase my ps3 breaks I don't want to lose my progress for this game.

Also anyone know the situation with gamesaves and trophies? If I did have to use a backup save will I have a situation with trophies not continueing from where I left off? I think this varies from game to game though but I'm pretty certain some games are tied to the psn account or console name which let you continue with the trophies if you have to use the backup but I could be wrong.
