Or if your online make the person bumping you pay for the damages.. That would make people think twice about rubbing online.

true true!
But accidents will happen and for not making the servers a swearing room with people who are fed up with eachother from arguing who ran into who? It would be better you can have some ''policy'' like 3 strikes out or something like that.
And how about I have 0,00 credits and I made Destruction Derby on Daytona?

Is damage and wear-and-tear accumulative? For instance, let's say we drive a small lil car 'round the 'Ring and it's engine, brakes and whatnot need servicing. The next time we boot the game up, will it "remember" or "forget" the wear-and-tear on the car? I hope I explained that right, sorry if I didn't haha.

Well if it remembers the mileage it should hopefully remeber that. I wonder if you HAVE to repair your cars before each race. Some games are like that

I'm betting damage stays with the car. It's not like you can total a LMP car and reset your PS3 to try again. Lame.

Haha yeah, I wonder how many GT credits it would cost to do body work on a one-of-a-kind Miura Prototype if you total it.

I believe the Best Buy tellys are 1080i. 1080i looks like crap.
no it doesn't! 1080i is the exact same 1920x1080 resolution as 1080p....nothing "crap" about it.

1080i looks like crap? Say what? In reality you can not tell much difference between 1080i and 1080p on a screen 37 inch or under. I use a 37 1080p and if I set it to 1080i it still looks extremely good. I also have a 32 inch 1080i and it looks great on it as well.

Those idots at best buy may be running it at 480p. That would look like crap in comparrison.

There IS no difference in the resolution of 1080i and 1080p...the only difference is that one is a progressive signal, and the other is interlaced, so 1080p is better for motion...however, they both contain the same level of detail.

The biggest problem with comparing resolutions is that your TV can only display its NATIVE resolution, and every other resolutionis scaled to that.

You also don't have a 37" 1080i TV...that does not exist(unless its a CRT). Plasma and LCD sets are progressive fixed pixel displays. So if you have a Plasma or LCD set its native 1080p or 720p

So... is anyone gonna be utilizing the head tracking feature? I just went out and bought the Eye today just for the game. I want the full GT5 experience (unfortunately a 3D TV is the only thing I won't be able to experience... yet).

Metfanant

Actually, very few LCDs and Plasmas are native 720p, as in 1280 x 720. A more common resolution for certainly the smaller TVs was/is 1366 x 768, meaning 720p has to be upscaled slightly, thus it isn't native.

Same to me... I bought the Eye only for play GT5:tup:

Probably give it a try because I already have a ps eye if its poor though I wont use it.

In photomode can you use the photo's you take as wallpaper for the xmb ?

And I think damage will not carry over into other races.

There was an icon or snap shot in one of the videos I can't remember that showed you needed to rebuild your engine and repair your car. This was in one of the menus.

Well if you can save photos into your gallery then you should be able to set it as your background

Are you sure it wasn't the engine /chassis renew icon's found in the tuning area of gt auto ?

I have PS Eye and will likely try the head tracking like SCUD77 said. If it doesn't work how I want it to I'll not use it. When I'm racing I like to be very aware of who is on track around me...very, very aware.

They shouldn't have included standarad cars at all if you can't modify them or use them for photo travel. I would rather have a few more premium cars than a lot more crippled cars.

Guys... Is Gran Turismo 5 in truly 1080p? I know, its maybe old info, but im not sure right now, because one guy from CZE, he is already owned GT5, wrote "Races only in 720p". soooo how is it?
