my friend, there are almost 1000 pages on this thread saying that you won't be able to change the rims on standard cars :)

OMGZ!!!! Really? Funny because last I remember, both Forza 2 and 3 struggled to outsell Gran Turismo 5 prologue let alone the 45 million other copies of GT sold thus far.....

I'm not a Forza fanboy, but saying something is better because it sells more is like saying McDonald's is better than a three Michelin star restaurant, or that the VW Beetle is better than a Ferrari, because sales don't lie.

In GT5 Prologue when entering a race, the car selection in the starting grid is always pre determined. I was wondering if you could choose which cars you would like to compete against in the full game.

It's (slightly) irked me that we always have to start a race from a rolling start. But certainly only a pet peeve, and nothing more.

Well done for taking something completely out of context. Unlike a Michelin star Restaurant and McDonalds, these two games are compete directly against one another. In your analogy, one is targeted at mass market while the other is generally for niche. People don't find Forza appealing for what ever reason even with livery editors and auction houses. On the other hand what ever GT do, they do right because they appeal to a much larger demographic. Most people are interested in racing and thats it and thats exactly what GT does well.

Yeah, I found that amazing... talking about PS4, GT6 and whatnot... with the state of the economy as it is, I think this current gen of consoles is going to last a lot...

Ok, how about saying Mcdonalds is better than KFC because they sell more burgers? How much something sells is not usually a good measure of a superior product. And to be honest, can we just stop the comparisons anyway. GT is what it is, FM is what it is, any racing game fan worth his salt would be able to enjoy both as well as the likes of GTR Evo, Iracing, FVA, NetKar Pro, etc. Arguing over them is a futile exercise and a pretty pathetic existence.

let's start complaining that it takes Sony and PD too long to release PS4 and GT6 :) we can even start a new thread on that
 
Any word on GRan Turismo Anywhere (the social network for the game) and the remote racing feature? I'm really interested in doing B-Spec mode anywhere! But I want more info :)
 
So is there or is there not a option to remove the HUD entirly or partially? i would love to remove the map and the speedometer, hell.. even the timer, lapcounter and positons can go.

But i have seen no gameplay clips yet of this being removed.. anyone?

That version of Laguna just looks incredibly bland compared to iRacing. And whay is the tarmac polished like glass? Prologue have that on Suzuka too. Annoying, and looks fake.

Hopefully they'll bring out a patch. This includes the cockpit too right? Would be nice to be fully immersed in the cockpit without the extra bits.

Anyone have any info on the compatibility of clutch in GT5?

if you are talking about G27 and G25 then the clutch will be compatible, it is compatible in GT5 Prologue as well, you just need to press Y (the upper button on gearshift part) when the game starts and the clutch works fine.
