What are these "you cannot do that in this version" things about? Did something surface while I was at work today? I noticed about 6 pages, but didn't read them. Just too much to keep up with.

Its in the pictures and videos threads (should be close to the top)

the user tried to use the gran turismo museum feature...and they were on level 17 I believe

also, like we have heard, the best buy demo had better damage than the new videos we are seeing, and the turismo tuesday video showed off dirt accumilation on a car....which is non exisitant in the new videos...

that should be proof enough that we have not seen the final build:tup:

At first we thought the delay was only for Russia when it was delayed last time. Then we found out the next day it was for all territories. So I would not be so quick to rule out its delay for all territories. I mean...this is GT5 after all.

Yeah but this is the mini delay the we in the UK had, GT site said the 3rd, but it was changed the 5th by retailers so it could release on a Friday I presume.

That's great news that we haven't been seeing a final build. THat should mean a lot of the disappointing things might actually not be disappointing.

Ok, not to be an ass here, but in that Rally video, the Suzuki doesn't collect dust or dirt AT ALL. This was in the press release.

And I quote here: "A first for the franchise, vehicles will now show real-time damage and wear that reflect the driver’s treatment of the car. Cars will collect dirt (and can be washed at car washes) and will feature adaptive and accurate body deformation and performance damage based on point of impact and velocity (on select vehicles)."

That car looks spotless. One of my biggest pet peeves with GT wasn't lack of reverse lights, or no skidmarks, or no horn, it was cars don't collect dirt at all. You're racing on a dirt course, yet the car looks as shiny as the day it was made. That kinda ruins the realism (and the purpose of the car wash)

The video you saw was RDK's copy or tekk's but we are starting to think that they're not the FULL GOLD copy of the game. There was already a video showing dirt collection on a car, here's the link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ozM0QTK1Vc

Thanks for posting that, if the G27 was used at a Playstation sponsered event playing GT5 and I am not going to worry. The wheel will be able to be used.

Those rally videos are NOT from the final version

the dirt sticks to the car in the final version, as seen in the gamestop turismo tuesday

same with snow, im sure............ so the videos weve seen are not final, no sparks, not close the the amount of damage in the best buy demo and so on...

Why do so many people suggest this? This would mean that people without an internet connection would be stuck with a broken game.

Its possible, but the best buy demo had the exact same message...I think the disk just might not have that on there

and if its GT Museum, that seems like it might be big for an update?

Weve seen ALOT of different builds of GT5, more than any other game, demo after demo, I would not be surprised if that was one of the 'almost final' builds

and like people have said, remember those best buy demo pics with damage? the cars were morphed and skewed, while the nascar and other videos that have been shown recently dont show sparks or proper damage

and remember those drifting videos and the smoke? it looked so real, and in the recent videos its kind of a step down...the smoke isnt as vibrant and cloud like...

trrue! there were sparks, but in that Nurb video at 4:00 in the road dissapered.....I dont see Kaz letting that slip by, especially on his beloved track right

wow the drama just doesn't stop...footage came from review copies as oppose to final copies of the game, release date may be set back 2 days for those who are in europe...I don't know what to believe anymore and I thought once they gave us the car list and track list thta was it, no more news...this is intense

I thought something was fishy, why would they all of sudden give us a car and track list when the game hasn't even been out yet. Anyways whether there are hidden tracks or hidden car, I really don't know and best thing to do is to not expect it. I just don't want to hear another delay, this cannot be possible. If they delay this time it may go real bad this time instead of sales spiking through the roof.

I doubt 2 days of delay would have a significant impact on sales in Europe. However, it could be a different story in the US as it is Black Friday.

nah, there are videos but the manual RDK had were bare bones, and if you have the prolouge or GT4 book handy they are meaty with pictures here and there....im sure final isnt just going to be black and white text??????

I've had a real good look over the original thread where RDK worked out there was something wrong with the copy.

There is a lot of speculation, and some pople are holding that it is probably the final release, but these messages are due to online content not being accessible yet, because the same message comes up when you try to access online content.

It's BS. There is no way this would be the message you'd receive if the issue was online content being unavailable. It clearly denotes that this is a "version" of the game, in which some features are "not available". Most likely the online content is not available in this version, as well as museum and the other stages.

I also agree with the argument that this is not a review copy, because it would be mad to issue review copies with a limited campaign and crippled functionality.

I think these copies are almost certainly preview copies, and they have possibly been packaged in real or faked packaging for fraudulent sale, and unfortunatley our friends RDK and probably Tekken have been duped. It ties in with the Nurburgring glitch that others saw on an in store preview version.

Yes, this is speculation, but I've held off speculating until now because I didn't think there was a point. I think there is enough evidence here to clearly demonstrate we should not be making any judgements about GT5 based on the videos that are being leaked right now.

And yes, I'm a bit excited by that fact, even though I thought the videos looked great.

At the video game store I work at we get new games 3-4 days before they sell...im sure once the copies ship we will get info right away (hopefully on the 19th, or most likely on the 22nd)

Ill have it in my hands as soon as it comes in, and although I would be able to play it "early" I honestly wouldnt risk something happening to my system (incase) after putting it in..ya know?

Why would the review copy have features the final game doesn't? That makes 0 sense. Let's send reviewers a game with less tracks, lower damage models, less features..so they can write in their reviews that the game is lacking certain features it really doesn't? The only logical explanation is that certain features in the game require a day one patch. Then again this whole GT5 thing has been like nothing I have ever experienced in gaming, so I wouldn't put doing something illogical behind them.
