Yea, maybe it was a beta that was used at some point. Then later used at the NYC event because it had the CR-Z. Or am I thinking of the right event?

Anyway, that could be what we are looking at. So, it may be interesting to compare the order of the track list. This also may give a good reason for the weird order of the tracks on that leaked video. You know, because they were in a strange order with reverse separated completely.

I wouldn't worry about being crazy right now. Because nothing makes logical sense anymore. :lol:

Think about it, we have spent the last couple weeks watching leaked videos from the Czech Republic. And now we find out it may be a copied Beta. :lol:

But that would suck if you're not connected to the internet, wouldn't it? They can't do that.

I just don't believe that is the case. Even if the majority of PS3 owners do have internet access, there are still a good amount of people who don't. By releasing an update that unlocks the full game would be dumb on Sony/PD's part. It's like selling half a game to people who don't have internet access.

The only logical assumptions I've read are those about preview copies. If not that, then maybe something else is going on behind the scenes.

I got to play the game today at the mall. only played for like two minutes. game looks nicely done
 
Wait, I just realized it can't be the exact same build.

Remember: Cape_Ring_South

That was how Cape Ring was listed. That wasn't the case in the track screen that was originally leaked.

Throw out that theory.
 
the Nurb night/day video had a glitch at 4:00 where the track dissapered....there is NO WAY that slipped past everyone at Polyphony, they are prefectionists to the max
 
Here's another little thing, Do you think that there are options on the disc that will not update until a certain date (release date) just like how the TT demo quit working at a certain date.

Say your playing the game and then at a certain time the 24th of November when the playstation clock hits midnight the game unlocks all features.. Would that be possible? That would not require a internet connection. Computers can do some amazing things and I would think this could be accomplished.

Regarding online functionalities, didn't some reviewers (don't remember who. Were they from Gamespot?) who got a review copy of GT5 recently write that there were already plenty of people online? This always sounded odd to me, as GTP users Tekken90, RDK and Rybak.d (and possibly also "middle finger" You5825 from youtube) have been unable to race online or use online functionalities.

Yeap - dated 11/11/2010

Got our review copy today (embargo'd at the moment), took it online and there were plenty of people about to race with, i wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be accurate, either that or all of the reviewers that got their copy went online at the same time.

All games ship with bugs, cant help it. Other GT games had them for sure.

With the rush job GT5 looks like it had these past months I wont be surprised to see even more pop up.

can someone confirm that tekken or whoever teh other guy is did indeed reach level 17 and then credits started to appear. This is what i heard earlier today and if someone can make full confirmation of this then it is indeed a beta/review copy and not the full thing. The guy didn't even unlock anything or drive get to drive the x1 and credits role? I don't think so...

Please someone find me proof to this and all this speculation about a demi version of GT5 will come to an end.

Then we can pop out the champagne and rejoice as we anxiously await for teh final copy to come to us so we can truly see what GT5 is all about.

Last I heard Tekken was somewhere around level 13. I'm guessing he's going hard to reach level 17 as we speak...

It's already been posted you could view the ending credits of past GT's without completing the game.

but can it be at a seemingly early stage of the game. Level 17 doesn't sound very high ranked and as someone pointed out Kaz has said in a number of occasions that he wants to surprise us and exceed our expectations so releasing a "full track list" would be counter intuitive to what he was trying to achieve....


oooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmggggggggggggggggggg it's literally one week away but seems FOREVER!

How do they figure that out? Psn subscriptions?
and the consoles dont have to be connected, they just need a connection from school or a library to figure out why the game is so limited and correct their Ps3 clock settings so the game knows its past its release date and unlock itself.
 
All I know is I will be taking half of wednesday off if there is no midnight release. playing allday and all night. Hope to see you guys online, going to get some sleep now.

Not everyone does, simple. Even in the priviledged western world, there are some areas that have very poor and even unreliable connectivity.
 
Ive been gone for a few days. This image is great size! http://i.imgur.com/DMNa6.jpg Did he find a way to export larger size or something? I thought the max was 1920x1080.
