I gotta wait until 10am tomorrow morning to pick my copy up, guess I'll try to platinum this other game instead of lurking on this site so time can pass by a little quicker.
 
People must not use common sense. They're so hyped to get the game earlier than others they don't realize all of the game's functions aren't going to work till the day of. Same goes for Black Ops and Reach.

How can you say that they're problems with the online when the servers do not go up fully until tomorrow?Let the servers go up then if they're problems then you can complain.Oh and ''text speak'' is not allowed meaning that you can not use ''u'' in place of ''you''.Please adhere to the rules in the AUP as they are not an option.You can go and read it here: https://www.gtplanet.net/aup/

I notice that the same bullet in the AUP that prohibits "textspeak" also requires decent grammar. Considering that the first two of your five sentences don't make sense, you might want to go read about English grammar here: http://www.englishgrammar.org

Just wanted to let you know :D Just one strange thing. In my german collectors Edition there is an italian Apex book, dont know what happened there :D German cover of the collectors edition, german cover of the game, but an italian apex book

Wow, pretty damn cool. Im not a big fan of wheels. When I want to play a game, any game, I just like to plop on the couch, lay down with a controller in my hand. Wheels are kind of annoying, not to mention Im just not a fan of playing with them anyway.

I used a wheel for Forza 3, I ended up just going back to the analog sticks, but this controller is something Id use.

On the page where I pre-ordered it, it doesn't say anything on the status. So I contacted the dealer and they said that Collectors Edition is late.:indiff:
I think I will drive to a shop and buy a regular GT5, because I can't wait for it.

I would much rather get it a little early and be able to explore all the other great features of the game instead of having to wait until launch day to enjoy all of the features.Who would wan't to wait?Use common sense.

I think the point of the AUP here Apollo is that we want people to not sound like they're 13 years old, but not everyone has perfect grammar, that is excusable. He, (like most people) just want's people to be able to do the simple things. Typing like an adult for example, not bursting out into caps in the middle of nowhere, followed by annoying single digit letters.

Just by the way, they sold GT5 in my local Saturn. So maybe European, or especially german people should check out their saturn

Hey guys, this is my first post this site, but I want to get a wheel for this game... the G25/27 looked interesting as the have the clutch setup... but they don't have handbrakes... which to me is weird, have the manufacturers not think that a handbrake is useful in racing, especially in drifting?

So how the heck do you handbrake then?

With a button. Just like previous GT's.
 
Have the online startup freezing problems been sorted? Few people saying that they are now getting a servers down for maintenance message and it works fine (albeit without online functionality)

I doubt it, you will get the psp cars in arcade mode. It would spoil the 'career' mode if it didn't.

thats correct all you can do is use psp cars in arcarde mode. It doesn't look like you can transfer prologue cars though :grumpy:
 
My GT5 just arrived early from Amazon.co.uk! Mind = Blown. I only have an hour to play since I'm going to the dentist but I'll post some impressions later hopefully.
 
I'm so jealous of you guys, I can only play on the weekends because I don't have my ps3 here with me at UNI :(
 
Can anybody with the game tell me if you can use the who Top Gear Test track? What I mean by that is use the whole runway for highspeed runs and not just the circuit.

Basically can you free roam it?
 
Well I called Gametstop today to go get my game and they told me that they couldn't give it to me till midnight. So at first they weren't doing a midnight launch and then on Monday evening they decided because Monday morning the guy specifically told me that they weren't. I am at the Gamestop in Arden NC on airport road.

Yeah ive seen vids of people just random drifting in parts of it, doing donuts, there seems to be an area with some cones that looks pretty wide open to do whatever you want.
