Quite so. Installing the game didn't seem to do much to the loading time from the Car Delivery to the Main Menu
 
So how long do you think it would take me to buy all the Premium cars? It's not helping that for now it seems that there's no money or leveling from Online races.. I just can't see myself doing the same AI races all over again just to gain money.. Any other way for that?

Taking a break after my first 4 hours....yes, it's slow. But I'm starting to get used to it. They'll probably send a patch and fix it in the near future.
 
Right now I'm waiting for more than 13 reviews to come in before I buy this game. I want to be sure this game is worth my money, seeing as I don't buy games very often.

I have a general rule; if a game can't get near a 90 metascore, then I have to really like the game's concept to buy it. Otherwise I give it a pass, because I have VERY limited game funds, so I HAVE to be picky.

Not to mention Xmas coming, so I have to be very frugal with my money. If GT5 only turns out average, I'll give it a pass.

Facepalm.. you will let those eejits with gamepad, who compare it to NFS and say they can't drift as in NFS, to make up your mind about it? 👍 You either know what you want from this game or you don't. This is not Uncharted so you wait for review scores, you either love cars or don't, you either love realistic physics or you don't..

Usually people only say this if reviews for a certain game are bad. You never see people saying this over highly-rated games.

I have played just GT4 for like a month, did some of the races, most of the time just did the time trials on the Nordschleife..
I'm way past that 'carreer' thing in simulation games, after couple of years of playing LFS online, i just can't get back to that 'playing' the game..

Does anyone else find B-Spec painful to watch? My driver has a car more powerful than any of his opponents but he can't overtake anyone and often loses places cause he can't drive

Well After hearing all the complaint with B-pec I planned not to do it at all.... sound like a pain in the 🤬

I got the code and I got the NASCAR car but the reason I pre ordered from Gamestop was for the McLaren. I called them up and told them I didn't get the McLaren. I downloaded them before the install. You can choose to download one at a time or both at once. Are you saying only one car appeared? that's odd if so.

I really thought we would make it to 70,000 posts here by GT5...
 
so, guys i was playing GT5 for 2 days now i have reached level 15 and won a Bugatti Veyron :D but i have 2 input on this car

1-why in the hell would they keep it as S car not P

2-so i have small damaged but when i went to fix it it cost 500,000CR why in the name of god !!

this is a real bad feature in GT5 to fix cars i have to race for ever !!

my challenger cost 27000CR, 350z 17000CR, Bugatti Veyron 500,000CR !!

please GT5 fix this make it like tuning car fixed amount to fix a car maybe 5000CR some thing reasonable


on the other hand 1220hp ( fully tuned ) works fine with me
 
i expected the game to be better.
when i was racing in the rain,
the edge of the cars got all pixelated
which was very bothering.
and car graphics arent THAT great....
but still.. FUN!

Who designed this thing? It's a joke. Lift off oversteer, normal oversteer, oversteer oversteer, etc.

:lol: I'm guessing you never bought GT5 Prologue??

It's an incredibly quick car once you learn how to drive it, you have to basically drift through corners and steer with the rear wheels.

But yes when you first drive it it's horrible. Actually it's always horrible but you just learn how to not spin out...
 
So....did anyone notice the cars don't accumulate dirt again? I just finished the special rally challenge with a white integrale and....it's still pristine white.
 
2 Things I've noticed:

1. You can share cars online. This allows your friends to race races in shared cars.

2. There is physical damage for Standard Cars. I'll be posting images of a dented Buick Special later tonight.
 
I've had GT5 now for over a day... and I've not yet done one race haha, I've been to busy trying all the cars in Arcade, then trying all my cars from GTpsp.... then taking endless photos of both sets of car (very impressed with the way the standard cars photograph) love how the car gets dirty after a lap in the rain... love the head tracking, cant believe I've been playing racing games without it!
But now, GT5 is costing me money... I got wind of a great deal for a 50" 3D TV... so tomorrow I'm going to go buy GT5 a nice little gift for making me smile all today... Then the real racing will begin!
Hows everyone else finding it? I've had a few xbox fanboys, having digs, the usual stuff, standard cars, GoKarts going backwards quickly, not as good a forza, blah blah blah, but a quick flash of some of the photos of a standard Integra soon put a stop to the mindless rants...

Why Don't they have proper support for The g25 and g27 some of the best wheels around.
I don't have any force feed back on my g25 wheel I'm a little bummed about it.
 
Online wasn't working for me, it said servers offline or something like that
