well out off topic but i´m in level 14 now and buy 2 more cars...i have 25 or more i lost the count now haha....the last 2 cars Subaru Impreza sti 2010 and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X...(i just want to test both in Nurburgring without tuning, i mean time laps) and well the last i heard about the change of the rims was that all cars have 11 types for change them...well no...the Subaru (just check it) has 23 different rims!!

(if it is old i don´t care just "discovered" it now)

Edit: stealth cars pack and the chrome edition are both amazinggg!!!!!!!

Did the Supercar race at the High Speed Ring: First corner, I tapped the back end of a Ferrari Scuderia and spun into the wall...well, Apparently the AI behind me didn't want to make the effort to avoid me as it caused a massive pile up and even resulted in a rollover of an Aston Martin DB7 or 9 (wasn't really paying attention). Checked out the replay to see it again, and...the V8 Vantage that hit the DB, had tire tracks on it's hood! I was like: Holy Crap! That's awesome!

The AI will not let off the throttle, period. There's been countless of time I was facing the wall and couldn't back out because they will not let go :ouch:

I have. The SSR and Ram and Toyota so far are the best looking ones. The SVT Lightning is one of the worse models. I'll try posting a pic of the Ram and SVT tomorrow.

There is a setting in the options to turn the racing line on/off.
 
Anyone know about the "Level 5 Car Ticket" or something like that? I got it after golding all the beginner A-Spec stuff. It doesn't show a car, but when I redeemed it, I got an old rally car. Kinda cool, but I'm wondering what the possible cars were I could've gotten? Is it a random thing I'm guessing?

Yeah, for winning the Beginner Rally section you get a "Base Rally Car" ticket and it turned out to be a Peugeot 206. I think the abstract ones give you a random car. Which kinda sucks 'cause you can't win the others.

Never had to do that for any other game before once i calibrated it initially but will give it a try. Also anyone know how to map the handbrake to a button on the wheel? There is no option for G27 so dunno which wheel picture to change settings on.

That lotus challenge on the top gear track is definately bugged. cars are undrivable.
 
Someone with the ability should make a thread regarding time trial laps at Tsukuba..

Tsukuba is home to most famous time attack competitions in the world and it would be interesting to have a GTP list for people that want to compete.. perhaps a simple screen shot of the time would suffice for proof?

possibly a small rundown of the car you used as well

If there is already a thread like this please excuse my sillyness, but for those avid time attackers out there who love the home of time attack, a thread such as this i imagine would generate alot of interest.. :)
 
I've done every event up to about level 16 or so and nothing comes close to the difficulty of that Top Gear Lotus event. Not even close, it's magnitudes tougher.

Lotus are known for having good handling. The VW Camper Van handles better at 30-40mph. The brutal Zonda R is easier to handle on corners, it's completely wrong, it must be a bug, if it's not, then it's the one car that Poly have got outrageously wrong in terms of handling. I'm banking on bug.

I bought my friend a car and gifted it to him, but then while it was gifting it said it was unable to, Then the car disappears from my garage. I call my friend (Some surprise ruined) and ask him to check if hes got in the car delivery or the gifts tab on community, and He couldn't find it anywhere.

Your racing on comfort Hard tires, the worst tires in the game, Thats why its so difficult and why it handles terribly. If it were at least on sports then it would represent a lotus better. Its not a bug.

Same thing happened to me. I was just going to send a friend some car that had 63hp to it just to be funny, but I lost it because it wouldn't. I'm gonna wait a few days before I try it again.


EDIT: These Top Gear challenges are starting to annoy me now. Can you not accelerate and turn a Lotus at the same time!?

I think its because of the server and online issues..
Until that online patch comes out, I wouldn't try it again.


Eventually for the elise challenge I resorted to skid recovery: On, Traction control: 1, ASM (Using my wheel): On, ABS: 2, and I managed a third place win. Although im starting to think maybe I can get gold considering the people that have gotten gold using skid recovery off (And the lot).

What annoys me most is that first corner, I always spin out there, tires have no grip.

Yes, but you definitely have to be easy on the throttle while turning. It is a mid engine car after all.
 
I've managed the Top Gear challenge with the lotus on bronze. It's easily the most difficult one so far. It's like the track is a sheet of ice, especially breaking for the first corner. There was much swearing and many restarts!

I kinda struggled with one of the Jeff Gordon ones too, outside cornering on Daytona.

All in all I'm loving the game. Just race modded my Evo 9. :0)

I'm using everything I can think of. I haven't even finished the race in the 30+ times I attempted it. I get spun out everytime. I don't have a wheel, just the controller. I think that's amping my difficulty up too.

Stay ON the throttle. Brake early, slow in, be ON the throttle through the turn (feel it out, too much and you'll spin, but no throttle at all, and you're completely toast, that's just the way the physics work for a mid-engine car)
 
I'm starting to think an 800kg 250 hp RWD Rally race car wasn't the best choice for B-Spec bob.

He has trouble going in a straight line. He's spun three times in this one race. All at the same corner. You'd think he'd learn.

Nope, make that four times. Despite me giving him a pace down shortly before the corner to avoid that very thing.

The car I gave him is so much faster than the competition that he's still in 4th place despite spinning so many times.

Use all assists max, TC: 3, and skid: on, and race like a 10 year old!

I remember the ferrari 430 daytona road course event in prologue (A or S class?), where you had to overtake all the cars.. The only possible way of getting silver or gold on that was to cut through the grass, and push people out of the way. So, Drive like a maniac and you might just be able to do it.

I'm not a good driver, it's maybe why i found this trial not very difficult.
The first one with the VW was a real pain in the arse for me.
 
Oh my GOD! I basically had 1st on the Lotus challenge, and the dude I passed decided to knock me into the grass and DQ me. I was looking at the finish line too.:grumpy::grumpy::grumpy:

I will do this when i get home in the morning. Whats weird is it didn't take long for him to find the code, which made me think that it might be used unlimited. I don't know just me thinking. :)
 
Wow.. on turn Bentley(I think) for the Lotus challenge, every one in front of me(I'm 5th at this point) decided to run over the cones, and when I missed the 1st cone but hit the 2nd one, my car went wild and got DQ'd. Anybody else have this happen to them?
