Can someone please tell me if the game is really as short as it seems the aspec seems so short ?
At the rate im playing(not a lot btw)
I'll have it done before the end of December what gives ?
And can someone please tell me if you can win the C63 AMG Merc ?

I noticed in the new car section that there isn't a listing for premium or standard. On some cars the dark windows let you know that they are standard.
How Am I supposed to tell premium from standard?
I planed on starting with the 97 civic type r ek.

It's probably better to start with the Kart challenge first. After that you'll have enough money to get a better car.
 
On the French GT5 there was a scratch and win competition on the plastic packaging - win a 370z etc. I went to the site and ended up winning a code for a downloadable car, not had chance to check out what though yet. Interested to know if this was the same world wide - i've not heard anyone else mention this.
Loving GT5 so far, apart from long load times between screens.

Its gonna take a while to finish it, and when yoy reach a certain level you unlock another race series above the Extreme series, the Endurance series, thats when the fun starts

I had the same problem when I tried to do the Custom Soundtrack thing (mostly for the easy trophy). Are you doing it from inside GT Life's menu? Head to the main menu of the game, and go to Options. From there, hit Hardware -> Audio. Click "Enable Personal BGM" first, then click "Select Personal BGM" and when the menu pops up, click "Play Mode" to tell the game to shuffle the whole folder. Don't click on one of your actual tracks.

You'll always hear the first song in your folder, it seems (it does that for me), but after that, it will shuffle properly 👍

thanks was a little worried there... I really wann get the c63 AMG, but im holding off on buying as I don't know If I can win it....
Oh and can someone tell me why the Ferarri 458 Italia is so cheap 280 000 something credits ? I would have thought it to be more....
 
wasnt there more gt racing in the previous versions?
in gt5 it looks like im stuck racing pick up truck, muscle cars and minis with very few real gt races.
real bummer.

I agree, tired of running Yaris and Miatas for a couple of laps over and over. Theres no real racing, just a few laps and then its over.

@codesing you just made me have a revelation about our B-Spec Boberts, maybe they are like us, they need track days and practice in different cars with different characteristics before jumping into races, maybe thats why some peoples Boberts didnt do so well! Interesting....

Also, I noted when you jump a 4lvl to a 8lvl race he goes lvl5 on finish! 👍
 
Just took part in The Lupo Cup, and one of the other racers was named K.Yamauchi. Needless to say I gave him a hiding for keeping me waiting for such a long time for GT5!:)

Judging by that article, you should try to uninstall and then reinstall, or only do the light install, not the hdd. It sounds like a bad sector on your drive, consider backing up and replacing the drive.
 
Another question, but I cannot find the quick tune menu like we had in Prologue. Is there a quick tune menu, or something like it?

Just thought I'd share a neat little feature. It was my birthday yesterday and if you log into GT5 through the PSN on your birthday you get a bonus car from your year of birth! I got an 86 Celica.

I apologise if this is mentioned elsewhere, I did a search and could not find.

I've now Bought 2 Copies of the Game one on Launch Night then a 320GB/CE Bundle and Today I bought a DFGT Wheel

Thats not the Reason I say "Damm Though"

Its because after 2 hours of trying to get the Goddam Wheel to Work I figured I better Plug the Foot Pedals in , this is after Ringing Logitech Support :dunce:

Only played the game maybe 2-3 hours at the moment, but the shadows issue is just really really bugging me. In fact the oerall graphical quality feels not quite up to standard. GT5 Prologue looked better to me. I'm using the cockpit view too and while I like the added shaking and shuddering effects, I think they could be toned down ever so slightly as it enhances the sense that the graphics are just really juddery, combined with a fair amount of screen tear, makes a pretty ugly non-smooth gaming experience. I hate to criticise the game but I cannot understand what the hell is going on with the level of ALL the shadowing in this game that I've seen so far, here's hoping it's some weird quirk with installing and that like this guy above, at some point it will suddenly become much better, cos how this got passed through QA is beyond me, they'd have been better just forgetting shadowing altogether, but ultmately there's simply no reason why it's as atrocious as I seem to be getting in my game, like there's some random bug and that it should simply be better, and has looked better in demo builds and so on. It's puzzling.
 
My birthdays Monday next week, was born in 1991, so I'll make sure I play GT5 that day to see if I get a car! xD

When you Sign up to a PSN Account one of the Questions is your Date Of Birth 👍

In my Case on My Birthday i'll get a Horse and Cart , as I don't think Cars where Invented back then :lol:

It knows you birthday by looking at you PSN entry info. So if your like me and did not want internet predators knowing your info, you entered 1925 as your date of birth.

Also, does anyone know where the quick tune menu, like we had in Prologue, is?

Well, they used a lot of cars for promotional purposes that are not in the game. In one of the commercials, they had a whole bunch of cars not in the game, like a Maserati Spyder.
 
There is no quick tune, another thing they removed from Prologue. Actually the prologue seems like a more complete game, it didn`t try to be anything more than it was, but GT5 tries really hard to be everything, and fails, big time. GT5 should have been the Prologue, and the Prologue should have been GT5
 
Is there an 'Unlock' guide anywhere for cars, tracks, features etc...?

Would like to know what I need to be doing.
