My word. The Zonda R should be illegal. I feel like I need a cigarette.

920 HP and 1000 kg or something, not to mention downforce to spare. It's just silly fast.

The ZR1 is somewhere around that too. I got it up to 905hp and stopped driving it. Lol.

EDIT: Bought the Viper ACR and much to my amazement, after 2 races, my car went from 999hp to 1005hp. Drives like a charm! :drool:

Some of the standards definitely look worse than other standards. I have an SVT Lightning that I used for the truck race, and while my B-Spec guy was doing it I noticed all the Lightnings looked much worse than the other trucks, despite all being standards.

But it is mostly the 80s compact crap cars that look bad, but then again, when did those type of cars ever look good?

Why do people keeping posting Xzibit pics? Seriously...the fact that Pimp My Ride is still on the air, doesn't make him cool, it makes the people who watch it, sad.

On Topic:
The Sounds are just AWESOME! I don't know why people complain about that. I mean, you can tell they went back and at least tried to record sounds for ALL 1032 cars in the game. With that many sounds, it's impressive there aren't more that aren't correct.

I mean, pop in GT4 and drive the Volvo 240 or the Saleen S7 and then pop in GT5 and drive the same cars. Completely different sounds. Some of the standards have even been remodelled from their GT4 counter parts.

It is apparent that PD has put a LOT of work in GT5. But, a game this size really does need an open Beta to work out all the bugs and release it in a semi-reasonable amount of time. If GT5 couldn't be updated via the internet, you can bet it'd probably be another year or two before GT5 came out.

This is the LARGEST racing game EVER! And one of the Largest video games period. The negatives, to me, don't really outweigh the positives. I'm constantly being impressed with this game. and I'm sure there will be several things to discover down the road.
 
On the Gran Turismo All Stars Championship part, do the race car drivers get extremely dirty? I got crashed out twice. First time was after the 4th lap and made me go from 5th to 11th and again on the last lap RIGHT in front of the finish line, and the slowest car passed me..and caused me to get 12th..

Happens to me all the time. This really ruins the championship races as the AI can totally mess up your otherwise perfectly decent race.

I've started over 6 times. This last time is the only time they haven't killed me to jock for position. It's like when you're not in a championship, they not all on the driving line, but when you do get in one, they're locked to it and if you're in their way, sorry for you.

I'm having a hard time beating the "All Stars Race". I tried using the Sauber Mercedez C9 Race Car which has a lot of torque and a really high top end speed, however the car is extremely prone to losing control and spinning out. On Nurburgring for example, I can't just seem to keep the car on the track.. lol
Should I use another car? Can you guys give any info on tuning this one better? I maxed out the downforce, bought soft racing tires, lowered the car a bit more, increased the neg. camber to about 1 degree front & back and increased the braking force to 7..
Anything I should change? Thanks in advance..

Hey, if you're still having problems on the Nurburgring, maybe I can help. I finally got first in that race, with a time of 6:59.466. I used the Viper ACR to do it. I can give you the setup I used to do the race with if you want.

I'm currently first in the Championship after 3 races. The Viper ACR :)HUGS:) the road. :dopey::drool:

EDIT: The hell?! How they expect me to outdrive a F1 car(I think) on Cape Ring..
Why is it the only car like that out in the field?
I got beef! :grumpy: 1 last race to determine the winner.. I'm down by 10 points..

I lost..F'n B.S...I'm done..I ain't doing that crap again until I get MY own F1 car... :grumpy::grumpy:

Hey, can I try that with you.. I think I might be able to equal that or beat it..

EDIT: I can hit 271mph (436km/h) in my ZR1 with the use of a draft from the GT by Citroen from Arcade Mode.. I need something faster to really see what that car can get.

lol yeah..I know the feeling. The idea in the All Stars is to get ahead in points in the Mountain Trail, Speed Valley and the last track: TokyoR246. The other two tracks: Nurbur & Capering are freakin' difficult. It's gotta be the car we're using I think. I see many people recommending the Peugot 908, the ZR1, The Toyoya Minolta or even the Tommy Kayra ZZ II. I think I'll try the Peugot, but the freakin' thing costs 4 million credits :crazy: I'm thinking about getting the the 908, that way I'll already have a true race car for the "Like the Wind" event which I hear is very difficult too. I'll keep my eyes open on the used dealership for the ZZ II, let me know once you beat the event.

That was me suggesting the ZR1. I got it up to 905HP.
Then I got the Viper ACR. That's up to 1013HP now.
I lost the event by 35 points. :grumpy: I'm trying to keep from buying a race car. I atleast want to win one.

It's a difficult event, no doubt. Like I said before, I'm gonna change the car I'm using to a Minolta or the Zonda R see what's up.

Yeah it is. I'm gonna keep at it. If I can do the same exact thing as last go-around, but finish Mountain Trail in 1st, I can get it.
