Turn off the Pc. Buy the Mrs some choccies, put on a good film and dim the lights. You may get lucky and get some different action.

Right one sounds better because he is playing GT5 Prologue SPEC 1. For some reason PD reduced car sound quality in SPEC 2 and 3.
Here is a little comparison.
SPEC 1
SPEC 2 or 3
epic fail of common sense and logic here!
comparing a video where sound is recorded off some speakers in a room - first vid - where there maybe some sound enhancement, plus room acoustics in effect, to one that is direct capture through a cable - 2nd vid
they're probably the exact same sound!!
BTW I have a spec 3 Prologue here and it sounds a little better than the 2nd vid, bass seems to have gone missing

Shift sounds no where near authentic, it sounds dramatic but not authentic.
I think people complaiing about the engine sounds in GT5 have got it wrong, the engine notes are fine. There is something missing, but I think it has more to do with the way thoes notes resonate inside the car than the notes themselves. Some games try to replicate that by making the notes more powerful and to a degree succeed. Games like Shift enhance the sounds to stupid levels and throws in mechanical whines and noises that shouldn't even be there. GT5's engine sounds if anything lack power, but the notes themselves are generally pretty good.
The reduced tyre noises from spec 1, maybe they are related I don't know.
What the heck? That SPEC I sounds miles better! It actually sounds like a gt-r.
Get a decent set of speakers and crank up the volume...?
I have the blu-ray version with the GT-R on the front. It doesnt say spec'X' on it anywhere, so I might try installing on a new profile and see what happens. Sounds like it'd work. In theory
This. How do i do this?
What?If you ask me, complaining about the AI opponents having names is even more pointless than complaining about the trees.
I don't see any names hovering above the AI cars in these clips. If you ask me having driver names constantly above the cars in white (or green or whatever letters) is no issue at all, cause I will not play such a game.
That's beyond arcadish.![]()
Btw for all of you ! I just installed Spec 1 again.. and guess whaat?!
The sound of the GT-R is almost exact the same as in Spec IIINo big difference , maybe it is even the same...
Fall 2010 is that just japan or worldwide ?.
Why in the Corvette ZR1 on Nurburgring Video, in the car selection it Says right under the name of the car, ''PREMIUM'' , Now Thats scaring the hell out of me
its not what some of us were thinking, right?...RIGHT??
Why is it a bad thing that the Vette is a premium model?
Anyway, I noticed the driver of the Corvette was wearing a red suit, not the usual yellow one. Maybe this hints a driver avatar.
