I want to talk to you.

Then start using the PM function finally.

I thought day and night transitions where only for a few specific tracks, i guess i was not paying attention. :dunce:

Now that the engine is ready it shouldn't be much of a problem applying it to all tracks 👍
Only performance issues can stop dynamic night/day-transition and weather from being available for every track.

I think it is only for specific tracks, but certain pics from track selection screens indicate that there are premium tracks which would also imply there are standard tracks. I would hazard a guess that these work in much he same way as the standard and premium cars, new and scratch built tracks are premium and the standard tracks are up scaled GT4 models. Perhaps only the premium tracks are capable of supporting day to night transitions.

I dont think They made day night transition for only one short rally track.

They made "weather" for only one short track in GT4. Not that I think GT5 day/night cycles are for one track only, but hey, it did happen before.

-> Hmm, are we expecting anything GT5 on PAX (in Seattle) on which is before TGS?

A new demo build is possible ...but I don't expect anything. TGS is more likely to offer something new/big.

Damn won't copy on my PS3.Thanks anyway guys.

I'm sure we'll get to know EVERYTHING about the game at the TGS.

I'd much rather not. I know we're coming from a huge, err, "dry spell", but what happened to waiting for a game and being surprised?

Guys, how do you post YT vids again.I got a vid PD might be interested in, for the next installment.

YT=youtube? take the whole link, than go advanced here when you want to post and than delete everythink before the =, including the =, mark the rest and set the youtube tags around it (found only when you go advanced)

I know what you mean and I do agree. With "EVERYTHING" I meant all the features and such, not every single track or espacially car, I would like to be surprised in that departement as well.

Edit: Moah, sorry for doublepost.:ouch: *stupid*

Cool thanks, so it´s close... I hope we don´t get all news there... I wan´t to explore the game myself and don´t wan´t to know every little detail :)

Looks like the photo was shot at dusk, does this mean day and night transition is available for this track?

It's just the HDR lighting changing the exposure

wow.... even the ceiling lights inside buildings are modeled!

The building lights are probably the main reason some tracks might not have night racing. Think of Seoul, New York etc. from GT4. If PD ported these tracks over like is rumoured to have been done (i.e. as standard tracks), then how would they work at night? Tracks like SSR5 had night racing in GT4, but even that would have had to be completely re-done (Which it has) because the lighting coming from the buildings was just a basic texture. The new graphics engine, and night racing which requires building lights means they would have had to re-do pretty much all of the background.

Another funny event was my father and I went to the NY Auto show and somehow he convinced this rather arrogant guy from Manhattan Motor Cars to let us sit in an Evora. To be honest it was very disappointing. The leather was very nice but the car had no ergonomic values what so ever. You cannot see out of the back, you cannot see anything over the rear haunches and there is no place to put anything of size. And they wanted $80k. So yeah. What made it so funny was my father and I looked like the biggest bunch of slobs, but my dad has a way with words and some how this A-hole in his Italian suit let us in.
Well, it is a Lotus after all. ;)

I asked that very question today in their forums here. I'm just hoping for the same thing that Famine and The Boys played at Gamescon.

I'll be there and my boss said he would film me racing (in HD :sly:) after the hour or so wait :ouch: If it's not there, I'll just play some Zelda and take the 3 hour drive back much sooner than I anticipated.

I do not think it's just the exposure, the windows in the buildings would have reflected more of the light from the sky and we would not be able to see much of the inside of the building if it was daytime.

After looking at a replay ... i could be wrong.

Well guys I finally can do this on GT:

except from the Italian mob(from Siena of course) destroying the car.

looks a lot like Grindelwald, but anyway if it isn't I make that course by myself.
:D

Just put 2lqtNThufkk between youtube tags...

A few days ago someone posted a screenshot of what they claimed to be Grindewald. It was a S curve with the sun shining on the stone walls off the edge of the track.

If the person posting this is reading can you post it again? I'm certain it is actually the final few corners of Grand Valley and not Grindewald.
