Wait a tick... since when did we have confirmation on a Gallardo Spyder?!

Wow, well spotted.👍 Or is it some weird glitch ( for the lack of a better word ) as a lot of those cars appear a bit weird on closer inspection in this angle.
In the Gallardo the interior does seem to display a C-pillar.......

Before you know they will include the Prius in GT....what? They already did? All three generations? And the last one even as Premium? Oh my.......;)

Hahahahaha Don't think the world will end if the Prius is canceled

Question: Is there a cock-pit camera view for the standard cars? I hear a lot of talk about how only the premium cars have these views, but i can't imagine that is the case. this game is the supposed "driving simulator", so for them to leave out one of the most real aspects about the game just doesn't make sense. maybe it's just that the standard cars aren't as detailed as the premium but there is still a cockpit view for both?

here's a crappy scenario if they leave the view out:

i spend the whole time i'm racing in a cockpit view and decide i want to use the bmw m3, but low and behold there is no cockpit view for that car cuz it is "standard". that will totally turn me off from ever using that car becuase i like to race as realistically as possible. if that's the case i won't even use 800 of the 1000 cars in the game.

please tell me these rumors that there is no cockpit view for standard cars isn't true.

The thing is, nobody actuallt knows, many people seems to believe, cause they`re complaining alot about the standard cars` lack of interior. Personally, I don`t think the standards will have interior, but we just have to wait for a confirmation, possibly at TGS

Sadly you are right. Standard cars don´t have cockpit view. You dont seem to be hardcore GT fan and seeing this is a bit of a deal for you i can see it will be for a lot of people and the game will take a BIG hit for this. Even though a lot of members here won´t admit it.

EDIT: Oh and don´t forget we also have Premium tracks

It's been confirmed by KAZ, there is NO cockpit view for standard cars.:ouch:

Ah, cheers hardvibes for clearing that up.

Seems we're right on schedule for another forum short-term-memory-reset. Yep, we need confirmation about a lack of cockpit view for Standards...

Premium tracks ?

I didn't saw it, can you link it for me, please ?

I would like to see the original source for this too. Apparently there was an image or a video showing premium next to a track name, but i've never seen it. Only seen that for the cars.

I would love to know how a ''standard'' track would differ from a ''premium'' one. We have never been told that there will be differing quality in the tracks that we will have. It doesn't even make sense.

The reasons that there are standard and premium cars make sense- interiors, damage, etc. The tracks could really only differ in graphic quality, not in substance.

In any event, I belive that all the tracks we get will be of similar quality. The real question is whether the number of tracks will be 20, 70, or somewhere in between.

Same for me. Never heard about it.

Can someone tell me more about this "premium tracks" thing? Sounds kind of interesting!

Yes indeed, it was written "premium" under every track in the E3 build (or 24h Nurburgring demo, I can't remember). I saw it on youtube, now I'm trying to find that video again...

I see premium tracks as a great thing. Because that means we get standard ones which will no doubt be all the GT4 ones xD

I hope weather and day/night works on them though. :L

Not so sure about that, Premium tracks ( I did see them in one of those E3 videos ) could have different substance or features.
For example day/night and weather being only available on Premium tracks.
Not saying that is the case by the way, but it could happen.

I don't really see anything wrong if we get some upscaled GT4 tracks. Suzuka in 5P was clearly upscaled, yet I thought it looked good...maybe even really good.

It's been talked about previously as to why there might be two tiers of tracks; it would relate to day/night transitions and potentially weather too. Tracks in GT4 have set times of day, which also means set, "pre-baked" shadows. A track that experiences changes in time would need completely dynamic shadows, not to mention probably some changes to signage, and lighting. This would take some time to rework, so there's the chance we might get tracks that don't have these options. They, conceivably, would be considered Standard. If any of that happens, mind.

I've been trying to find the video that showed track selection and a "Premium" tag underneath the track name. A better Googlesleuth than I should be able to dig it up.

Jordan also put the screen shot up on the news back in March / April (or around then??) but without much explanation, other than to question its meaning. Suggesting it, perhaps had something to do with the day/night/weather effects and which tracks would have these effects.

However, subsequent videos and playable demos of the same tracks which featured the 'Premium' tag previously, have now omitted this tag. So its definition is still unanswered.

Yep, I remember the premium tag being shown, and my conclusion was that it simply related to the fact that it played host to a race using premium cars as opposed to the track itself being premium.

It could mean several things, but the concept of some tracks being premium and some just standard would be taking that idea one step too far!

True, but the odd part is the track is picked before the car... then again since everything in all the current demos has been all-Premium, I guess it's kinda impossible to tell.

Yeah but the idea of porting over cars from PS2 was also deemed to crazy to possibly happen before too ;).

Oddly enough, I wouldn't be too bothered if some GT4 tracks are carried over, and that's the basis of this very mysterious Standard/Premium tracks business. I never really expected to get full ToD changes and weather on all the tracks :)

The Prius is a joke, a BMW M3 uses less fuel than a Prius at normal speed, that`s proven on Top Gear.

You missed the part where Clarkson said it's about HOW you drive the car, not WHAT car you drive.

As someone stated. Driving a smaller car flat out will burn more gas than a sports car at the same speed.
