What's that then Dave, have you got a bit of info on it mate ?.

Erm, I guess I was wrong. The french media reported the GT scrapped but Citroen denied it.
As for the other Citroen car, I was talking about the Survolt.

The Survolt! that's the one i was thinking of... Thanks Dave!

Another Electric sport car, but smaller, less exclusive than the GT, and more accessible/real.

That looks lovely, best looking saloon i've seen for a while.I'm hoping it's not like the new Jag XJ, with an ugly back end.I still prefer the previous XJ's except the X350, looks too out of proportion with itself. Thanks for the pics & everything guys. Can we get back on topic now fellas ?.

8/2!!! 3 more months! ~ 90 days

Our lives will change after that... Things will only revolve around GT5 for some of us... it will become our new sun! LOL  Sad.

The lines recalls (somewhat) that of the ConceptGT on this luxury gran sport sedan

the Metropolis:

I remember there was also a smaller project car in the work, but i couldnt find it anymore... It couldn't be the DS3 R3, has to be something else

I saw that in one of my Top Gear Magazines. I would take that over an M5 or Quattroporte if it was put into production.

31 days in August and October, so it's actually 92 days :p

Hopefully the EU will get a confirmed release date at Gamescom 👍

90 days and 48 hours ;) .... sounds less painful

The problem with that Metropolis, is it's a hybrid not a burbling v8 or preferably a massive v12 shame.

Well everyone is getting on the Electric Train Bandwagon nowadays...

The internal combustion engine and manual transmissions are more and more stepping aside for something that relies less on BP's business.

Neither is the Porsche 918 Spyder that was unvieled. Is it necessary that it cannot be hybrid in order for it to be desireable? As you can clearly see, not all hybrids are useless & boring like the Prius and the Insight.

Unless it make a loud noise and leaves a carbon footprint the size of Alaska, what's the point.

Well, where I come from, getting shot by a .22 caliber in the face has the same results as getting shot by shotgun in the face.

One's just less messy.:ouch:

Wish I could laugh. However my friend's brother was just shot in the eye with a 9mm. Found out last week he lost the eye.

Holy cow. He's lucky he is just losing an eye, and isn't dead. He is now in my prayers.

Yeah, I was as surprised as anyone. And even after the surgery there was still hope the eye could be saved. The retina was detached and after filling the eyeball with silicone there was still a chance it could re-attach. Unfortunately, it didn't work out.

Ermm... this is probably not the best place for this type of rant... even if it is true...

Has anyone got a heads up on how the cash situation is going to work on GT5? I seriously hope that PD DO NOT include an easy race that can be milked ad infinitum, like that rally stage or the DTM Touring Car 'Mastershaft' on GT4.

I'm actually wishing (and hoping) that things like tires, fuel, and damage are enough of a cash sink, to warrant a change in player racing behaviour. What are the chances of that?

That's one thing I'm hoping for too, but it's also one thing we'll see after the release date :)
It would be enough for me if you have to pay for your fuel and your repairs.

I'm assuming we won't be told much of anything on that subject, Mag buddy. They never really go into the details of the individual races in Sim Mode pre-release, so we'll find out when we load the game up. I do see your point... but having one or two races like those for the purpose of credit-building doesn't seem too bad to me, since anybody who wants to own the majority of the cars in the game are going to have to use something like that to get it done at any reasonable amount of time. Preferably though, I'd like a race similar to the GT2 All-Stars money-maker; 5 laps at Red Rock, sell the Speed 12. It wasn't a lot of time invested, but you had to be decent to win.

I usually force myself not to abuse the easy money-makers until I'm a good ways into the game and am starting on car collection hunting instead of completion percentages. It's the same reason I avoided getting an F1 car until as late as possible in GT3 and GT4; I figured I'd abuse them and it'd suck the fun out of the game! But the thought of having to spend literally days just to buy one of the pricier cars in the game kills my interest levels fast. To this day I still don't have a good chunk of the LMP's in GT4 because of this...

I do hope you misspelt Meistershaft on purpose for comedy effect as Mastershaft sounds a bit dirty when both parts of that word are read as English instead of German.....

About paying for damage, fuel and tyres I thought about this too and I think damage could be made to pay for as a consequence of bad driving or an unintentional accident caused by an error.
But paying for tyres ( each time a new set ) and fuel would just limit the amount of playing time mostly I guess as you would have to consider if it's worth or whether you can afford just driving around in the game each time.
That would simply be punishing you for doing what this game was intended for, driving and racing.

Certain things need to be accurately replicated in a sim, some things are just better left unrealistic so it can still be enjoyed as a game.

My bad sir. He is in my prayers. :)

Arizona I assume? Not exactly making it sound more lovely though....

It's Arizona. It's actually a nice place, albeit hot.

Excellent point, and to be honest, it's the only thing I am worried about. I want the cash earning system from GT4, that way the exhaust system I worked hard to get actually means something.

I do however, want to replay my races when ever I want to. They want to cut the earnings down each time I do, I am fine with that.
