I'm seeing GT haters/Forza fanboys in each place I go and people meet me.

Cmon. What's happening to the world? Lack of respect for each other!

I miss the good old gaming times where we were ALL HAPPY about games. There was no "internets" and no ultra-high standards. Now, every single game have haters/complains. The ones that are old enough gamers to know what I am talking about may agree. I bet nobody complained much when they released "Doom II"... And everybody loved every single bit of Duke Nukem, but now, HUGE armies just hate or defend each FPS games. And its happening with racing games too... Thats just crazy. What's happening with the games market is CRAZY. Just to talk about 1 example.

Sorry about the words. I just needed to put them off my mind.

The physics in Forza 3 are great and the physics engine runs at 360fps. Don't see how you can possibly say the physics aren't good in Forza, other than just plain bias. Any real driving game fan would want both Forza 3 and GT5 because they're both the best you can get and each game brings something different to the table. Get em both.

Also, in now looking at GT5s car list, I must say I think Forza has them there. Way more variety in Forza. Pretty much everything under the sun is covered in that game while GT5 is extremely Japanese biased with 40 Miatas, 60 Skylines, etc.
 
It would be cool if you could take pictures of a car in real life and it would mock up the car in the game.. In GT9 maybe :lol:

And I'm not really caring about this anymore; the whole 'not enough cars' thing; DLC is a probability, and the whole 'I want this track in the game' thing is nothing to worry about thanks to the Track Editor. Which brings me to another interesting thought. Track Editor.
EDITOR. You may be able to edit the built-in tracks; doubt it, but here's to hoping. And SSR7 looks SWEET. I can't wait to upload some drift videos with epic build-up music in 720p-1080p (depending on this whole 'YouTube uploader' idea)..

Why must we fight over F3 and GT5? If I had a 360 I'd have F3 and be playing the **** out of it. It would have helped me in this long wait for GT5, and when F4 comes out it will be a nice stopgap until GT6. They're both great games, can't we all just get along??
 
I don't get why there are so many horrible japanese cars. I am American but that doesn't mean I want every single mustang ever produced.

So i've just woken up. Any everything has gone crazy. Full car list, full track list and a US/EU release date. But no Australian one. (maybe eastley was right) Blu-ray arent region specific are they?
 
OMG I just noticed ... the Kia CEE'D and the Chevrolet Lacetti ( from TOPGEAR ) Arent in !! This is quite annoying as i was looking forward to seeing how i could compare to all the celebs!!!! thoughts ?

YES. THIS. People have become spoiled, needy, and hold high expectations. It was never siding with games, but just having a fun experience!

But sadly people always think their right, and want to make sure you know it.

Kind of. They will play in any PS3 though.

Well, when I got my mitts on GT4, I was blown away. My actual car wasn't included (Alfa 156 Twin Spark), but I quickly snapped up a 147 TS, followed by a 147 GTA V6 and Alfa GT 3.2 V6....

Oh, and a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo, and a 205 (albeit a T16 not GTi 1.9:)) - all cars that I had lusted after / owned equivalents.

GT4 was bang up to date. Many of the (then) current / recent mainstream cars that meant anything to car fans , and had car fans talking, were in there. That was a serious hook. Fab graphics, great racing, and all (most) of the cars that you lusted after.

GT5 isn't like that. Most of the mainstream cars I have raced / collected before, in GT4 or GT5P.

Yes there are some new ones, but not nearly enogh to make GT5 relevant to the modern car fan in the way that GT4 was.

Yes, the Alfa GT, Fiat Turbo Coupe etc are going to be in GT5, and I do like that, but I only rarely lust after these cars now IRL. They're all 10-15 years old, and yes when I see one I do think, ohh, lovely, but I don't have time / money / patience / space for a banger project.

I want GT5 to give me the cars I want to play with NOW. The lustworthy models that I wont own from the current crop... Is the Golf R better than the Mk V R32?, or my own mk V GTi - how do they compare to the Scirocco R, or Giulietta QV....?

... Is that so hard to understand?
 
A great day! Sure it's possible to find things that aren't there, but if you stop and look at what is, any racing/car fan cannot be disappointed. Such a relief that it was the 24th, that's even closer than I thought it would be. Can't wait to get started.
