GT5 Maintenance Notice 22/5

PD needs to say if they are still gonna support this game with updates/DLC or if they are just gonna go straight to GT6. Just say something for crying out loud. I'm not getting my hopes up at all until June 25, when GTA ends.

There was never a maintenance that lasts 1 hour and wasn`t an update in the past, so I would guess for an update.

That means otherwise: 1 hour maintenance = always UPDATE in the past

Maintenance that lasts longer than 1 hour were always only "Maintenance" ;-)

And the only country that hasn`t this Information on its official site, is Japan. Every other country got this massage, even these countries had already the Photostream-Update!

It's just PD's lack of communication that makes me a little frustrated. They just need to be a little more open to their fans, that's all.


Oh and I expect GT6 to be stellar, with tons of content.

Every week? We're lucky to get a nugget of information once every two months.

And I would be happy.
And it would gradually be updated over the months, then in time I would be happy to buy a half finished GT7.
GT games need maximum 3 year cycles, even if unfinished.

What happens after that is anybody's guess. I myself, I don't sit around worrying about what PD's next move is gonna be. I just play the game and let the updates happen when they happen.

There is no update untill GTA finishes.
New update brings to GTA prizes to GT5.
It could be Photo-sharing feature, too
Something big will arrive after e3.

About a week before the update happens... when they announce an update.

Kaz is in the Nurburgring 24 hour race this weekend and PD is focused on GT Academy right now. The chances of any update before the 8 week GT Academy is over is highly unlikely.

It doesnt matter where in the world Kaz is, it isn't hard for him to tell his staff to prepare some of the content he has said they have, also, there would be no mainentance looking at it from your perspective.

As for GT-A, thats up and running, and surely doesn't need much doing with it, other than monitoring.

If there was to be an update, that included DLC, the maintenance for it would be on a Monday so there would be time to get the update before the first store update of the week, which is Tuesdays for North America.

If this maintenance included an update, they would have announced it already as well.

I am 99% sure it is an update AND you will download a file. How much MB this file has and what it will do with your GT5-Copy, I dont know. Maybe only Photostream or a little litle little bugfixing. Even so less bugfixing that you cant notice any diffrence!
But I would almost swear we will be forced to download an update/file on 22 May 2012 and maybe a DLC-Answer to Porsche-DLC of FM4. Or is it just a accident that a maintenance is announced on 22 May, on the same day a big DLC for FM4 (Porsche) is coming out. Almost the same accident like in October 2011 (First mega DLC for Gt5 came out at the same time as FM4 came out????)

I think that PD/Sony are watching Turn10`s steps more than we think ;-)

Surely the maintenance is primarily to add the GT Academy Cars that you win at the end of the month. Perhaps there may be other additions like new (future) DLC at the same time, but IMO if Motegi is in the Gt Academy I think we deserve that as a freebie.

I doubt. I think we will receive all GTAC prize-cars at once, when GTAC12 ends - sometimes in June.

I doubt. IF there is going to be any *update* for this Maintenance, it is going to be either PhotoStream or some technical updates. But I still think this is just the regular Maintenance.

As for *DLC* update (whatever that would be - GTAC cars, Motegi circuits, some other DLC content...), I presume it will come once GTAC ends (in June) as an full-update, with cars, circuit and technical updates. We will get GTAC prize-cars for free and it remains to be seen what will happen with the *other* content.

.. but IMO if Motegi is in the Gt Academy I think we deserve that as a freebie.

Well I'm hoping that its a DLC update. Quakebass, a user on GTPlanet, noticed that each DLC update was on the 3rd tuesday of the month of the update. This happens to be the 3rd tuesday.

I doubt. Motegi in GTAC is the great way to promote the track and make people aware of it's existence. But to get is as a freebie... I don't think so Would be nice, but I don't think so
