Um, I would rather have different cars. With all the Skylines, their performance is similar, thus making them all just about the same car. All we really need is a fas and slow car (maybe a middle road) for each generation. For the 911, you could have the straight 911, GT3 ect. It would be counterproductive to make ever 911 in the game; we would have the same issue we do now with Skylines.

I agree, German cars are much more atractive than anyone japanese cars(at least to me), and you could change that f... name!

You´re quite right about that! But i´d rather have 50 Porsches than 50 Skylines in the game... But even more so a balanced selection of both! Say 10 models each or so. That would be more than enough IMO.
 
if that number would include tuner cars, it wouldn't be enough. just think of how many tuner porsches are out there.. tuner bimmers.. you get the point?

and despite the performance figures being about the same (300-400bhp), the handling differs enought to make them different cars. or could you claim that M-B 190 Evo II drives like SLR?

I get the point, but if tuners are included, they will go under the tuner brand anyway, just like in GT4. And to be honest: they can skip all the tuner cars all together as far as I´m concerned. Couldn´t care less.

That was why I said that about 10 models would do. One or two significant models from each era. Maybe the Porsches need to be a few more though, seeing how much history the make actually has. And how many truly iconic cars they´ve made!

I usually leave tuners and racecars out when I count models, but if they are counted in, almost every 14th car in GT4 is labeled "Skyline"(!) So with 733 cars, that´s too many Skylines...
 
PD should get rid of 1 or 2 Skylines and replace them with at least a '67 Firebird and/or '02 Trans Am.

And before anyone says "Oh me gawwwww dude, Trans Am is like the same thing as the SS"....would you rather have an extra Skyline instead? :crazy:

I agree with this guy I know GM makes 386939683 of the same car with just different minor touches like the gril the wheels and the interior and I am a fan of skylines but having 379039703 of the same car that look the same isn't as fun as having the different models from pontiac chevrolet etc.
 
I think that the even bigger problem is too many japanese cars full stop. Look at all of these japanese cars and not one gosh darnded australian car. Please oh please put in more aussie cars but having said that, like you guys are on about, dont put in every model of commodore or falcon ever made that would be pathetic.
 
I think too many people are forgetting that this is a Japanese game. It's not made for us. It never was. A few concessions here and there for American audiences does not make it any less a Japanese game.

It amazes me that people don't seem to realize this. "OMG, a Japanese company is making a Japanese racing game, and it has all these Japanese cars in it, what are we to DO?!?"

All we can hope for is the addition of more "foreign" cars into this Japanese game. They're not going to reduce the number of Japanese cars.
 
It may be a japanese game but if they want to sell it world wide then they've got to have something that appeals to the world or it wont sell.

Yes a good point and so was the previous one but there is no reason why we can't have both I mean if someone was to make an aussie/usa/european version of gt with say 500 of the well known and less well known cars from their respective history wouldn't you buy that too? I know I would it's a japanese game and PD seem to be getting their act together so we shouldn't complain yet if I had my wish my version of GT would have every edition of every car ever made in history on it 👍

You know what else I'd love in gt5 and its many sequels is engine swaps :D last night I was driving a 662hp supra engined lexus is300 on forza. :lol:

i payed attention, and if they are the only newbs in GT5 i am officially not buying this game.......that is the crappiest list of additions since...since....PROLOGUE
 
Obviously you paid very little attention, since you neglected to see the part where it said the list was ANYWHERE near complete.

Just wanted to mention to you guys that you need to be polite when pushing people out of this thread and into the wishlist threads...

See, if you take the time to follow the stickied thread and go to the wishlist V3.0 linked in the sticky, you will quickly see that the thread is closed and there is not a wishlist thread in use right now (and if there is an open one it is not easily accessed).

So, please keep that in mind before getting on the case of those who had no where else to go when mentioning their wishes in this thread (not to say that's ok but for now it seems they have no where else to go).
 
Regardless of the status of the wishlist thread, they should be able to figure out that they shouldn't be posting wish lists in this thread. Just because they have no proper thread to post it doesn't mean they should just post it in any thread they wish.
 
I see your point, but you (that's people in general) can push people out politely, that's all Kent is saying.
