Wow, just found this thread!

I'd be more than happy to lend a hand with the production here. I've been doing podcasts for a few years now. Currently doing the popular pop culture podcast named 'SP'

I'm also the leader of the most popular racing league on GTP, Pure Racing Evolution, and I'm a GT Academy 2012 Silverstone finalist. I'm deeply passionate about everything motorsport and GT5 and am a podcast addict myself, subscribed to over a dozen different podcasts at anyone time and burning through them all day e'ry day.

So I'd love it if I could be on the team, have my dynamic mic ready to go if you'll have me, depending on time and scheduling of course.

I have a lot of ideas as far as content goes, so there will be no lack of ideas in that. We've had a project that's been on the back burner for a few months with PURE that involves surveying the GTP population about the state of GT5's online component, so that'd be an interesting story for sure. Other that that, lots of reviews of news, rumors, motorsport updates, we can play games like, " guess that car" based off of engine noise alone, we could have a weekly feature where one of us gives us their perfect version of a new GT game, and then other weeks where we describe (in hilarious excruciating detail) how easy it would be to mess up GT, there could be quizzes, debates, troubleshooting with people that ask questions, GTP thread of the week highlights, poster of the week and/or month, we can talk about our own cars, stories racing online, horror stories with hardware...

I have lots of ideas. I'll just leave it at that for now.

He should be a host. He's the perfect expert the podcast needs.

So, I can see this has gone to a great start! 👍

Will someone please let me know the finalized teams/people that you want on the podcast? (Drag, drift, race)

I will try to contact the desired people tomorrow.

And what if we do a big Skype interview?

Simply beautiful.

Haha, thanks. It was no big deal, really. It was made in 5 minutes. The REAL challenge was finding the font to match a Gran Turismo-like layout (it was Neue Helvetica 25 ultra light :dunce: who can remember that?)

There already is one! :)

The Tuner's Pit Racing Association (TPRA) has already produced the first 2 podcast episodes of its first season!! The TPRA is a large online racing community dedicated to GT5 and myself and my co-host, 'MoparSRT' have spent a lot of time producing this Podcast; an idea that started back in Fall of last year.

While it is not a 'GT5' podcast per se, (it's a podcast for the TPRA) it is the closest there is to a GT5 podcast, is community driven, and is still an awesome experience!

The TPRA Podcast is more than just a show - each episode, certain lucky contestants get to drive a Reasonably Priced Car around the TPRA Podcast's test circuit and also The Stig takes various sports cars around Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

Only 2 episodes have been released so far (they were released in the Spring of this year) and we're currently on our summer break. However, good news, the TPRA Podcast will return for more episodes in Fall 2012! :)

Check out the thread for Season 1, Episode 1 here!

Check out the thread for Season 1, Episode 2 here!

The downloads are entirely free and always will be. :)

More episodes coming Fall 2012! :)

I'll send it then. but as of now, these are the people on the team:

HOST: McLarenDesign, MOTORTRENDmitch, masterrawad (unsure)

ARTICLE WRITING: locoman88

PUBLIC AFFAIRS: Swara96 (unconfirmed)

VIDEO EDITING: McLaren Design

what about Dean?
I believe I'm a host.
I will take up the offer.

Let me know what I should do 👍
Sounds great!
OK so I have some ideas.
We can have GTP Big guns on as guest appearances, such as Tuners (RKM, Red Valley, Pr. etc.) Talk to them, interview them, and do a Tuner Challenge. Details will be put out later. We can also have fellow GTP writers (JDMKING, C-ZETA [personal rival ;)] and so on) interview them and just talk about certain cars with them. Also having league founders like Furinkazin talk about what it takes to run a successful - popular league etc. Top drifter, drifters, drag racers, etc can talk to us about different things, we can have the Stock vs Tuned/Best in Class crew join us for an episode ;).. Also, a big wish of mine is to have Schawdagen (GTLife magazine editor) on the show, haven't spoken with him for quite a while! So many great possibilities to be had..

*Sorry if I had mis-spelled any names*
I like those ideas.
Sure! and also I made a mockup of the logo Right here. It's crisp and clean, but if there is another name choice out there, let me know and I'll make a similar styled logo for it.
I like that logo!
I'll get my friend to put it on the web, if this is the “real” logo.

More episodes coming Fall 2012!
I believe it would be an honor to do some cooperation if you are in for it?
Edit: I've created a group for the crew. Here, but please only join if you're a part of the crew.

I'm sure some sort of co op between our Podcast and yours would work. I'll speak to my co host about it.

We plan to put out our next set of episodes this fall.

Seeing as my co host and I have been at this for almost a year now (we did pilot (test) episodes in November of last year), if you guys need any assistance with planning, scheduling, advertising or just general assistance with producing a podcast then don't hesitate to ask. :)

Yes, I think the logo's great too. It's neutral in the way that it can represent all of GT, not even just GT5 as well.

Also guys, PURE has a forum and we'd be honored to help in running with the show (besides my hosting) by offering you a dedicated space on the forum from which to organize from.

Best part of the forum? Unlimited bandwidth for accessing files. This will make the sharing of files and post-production work extremely smooth since it can all be handled right in the forum as attachments - we won't have to share links to mediafire and such.

Here's a link to our forum:
http://pure.gate19.net/forum

Anyone reading this thread is welcome to register, not just podcast members. On first getting registered you can only view the general discussion area. But there are far many more layers underneath that are private, we can easily do the same for the podcast.

We mostly use it for running our own projects (we ended up using GTP's PM system so much we would literally all constantly fill each other's premium GTP inboxes xD) but we're slowly expanding the forum for more uses, and this would be a perfect new fit.

Btw, you guys are definitely planning to do this over Skype correct? Just making sure.'

Oh and I can easily set us up to have the podcast hosted on iTunes as well. But the main thing I want to discuss once we get our discussion medium settled, is format. An easy format to shoot for early one would be an hour, with a buffer for an hour and a half of content max.

That way it can be a simple:
intro-preview-greeting-casual warm up convo ("How was your day, blah blah")-pilot pitch (just for the first show)-news-first story-featured story-final story-closer

After thinking about it, I realized how awesome it's going to be to have guests and do nice interviews. I don't think there's a limit to who we can get on for insight and awesome conversation. Every one from fellow GTP'ers to Jordan himself (that would be a great show, I met Jordan personally in San Diego, so I think he'd be happy to do an interview), to leaders of the community, developers of smaller projects, and even racing drivers (I can help get us Bryan Heitkotter, Sean Johnston, and other drivers involved in GTA)

And the format for an interview show can be as so:
intro-preview-greeting-warm up-interview intro-interview-post interview overview-news-closer

Awesome of you calvin. I've listened to your podcast, great stuff! Looking forward to more. It's really nice of you to offer collaboration, I think the more the merrier. Cheers.

Just to let everybody know, any help is welcome, and really appreciated. Please, join the crew group if you're involved in anyway with this. It'll make things a bit easier.

You are in. :p

Is it possible that I can get a voice sample from the other hosts? I would like to hear how you guys sound... You can just PM me the sample(s).

You may just PM me your PSN IDs along with the samples. (Just record yourself saying who you are, etc.)

Edit: off topic, but I've actually been on a Danish radio show today, so I'm now fully prepared for the podcast.
