Getting to grips with the Stealth NSX GT500. The physics of this car feel awesome. Feels very much like in the GT Academy time trial, but with a better tyre model. You can catch slides now with the DFGT wheel and the Force Feedback feels better

No aids, no ABS, brake balance set to 4:2

You can hear the distortion, but it works with this car, and just the right level of whine, but other cars have too much whine. The GT-R is good, but the sc430 seems like the odd one out of the Super GT cars. Pity they missed the HSV GT

This GT5 is a sound of heaven! A car is sounding different, from the front of car. It is different, from rear of car. It is different, from side of car.:mad::embarrassed:

I am of the highest happiness to hear it. You will agree with me. :banghead::irked::lol: My SOUND SYSTEM is become farted in sound due to SPEAKKER detonation.

A review of GT5 is to be expelled from me, shortly. On BLOG! mitsifumi-san.blogspot.com. it will be a post on this your forum if I bother to.

Regers,
Mitsi ^-^

I tuned my Viper ACR to 700bhp and now it sounds like a Hemi Cuda on helium O.o
It's actually really close to the real one.

Could you make us a video? Im really curious :dopey:

And thanks Crowood for the aston martin movie, I think it have a good sound stock and modded 👍

My Viper ACR is 730bhp. not sure how it got the extra 30.
I've also added replay data as attachment.

I think they do this to hide the fact they re use a lot of engine sounds. Unlike Forza the GT5 engine sounds are not all recorded seperatly from each car, they never did this in the past and they haven't done this with GT5 (why this is is a big mistery to me). What they have is a synthesizer that replicates the amount of cylinders, size of engine etc (with some ibput from people who can hear the real life sounds) so they can emulate a sound that represents the sound of the car, but will never be THE sound of the car when recordeing

You sound like you know that's how it happens.

And not everything PD does is to hide some flaw in the game

I took my Alfa Giulia 1600 GTA something something to the tuning shop, put on a racing air filter and I think it was the sports exhaust too. Along with engine upgrade 1 and a tuning chip.

The sound from roof cam and specially behind is just... massive! Loads of bass at mid range rpm leveling out to a more high-pitch noise towards the redline. Who would've thought the best sound i've heard in GT5 would be from a standard car :)

I dont have the capability but can someone post the sound of the stock mustang GT and then what it sounds like by just putting exhaust its is Horrendous and insulting really

Just bought the Enzo... oh my God... I feel bad. I didn't know it had a ricer tuned 4 cilynder engine!!!
Camon Kazunori!!! WTF is this!? Some kind of Japanese joke!?!? Even the titanium super race exhaust that I had to buy 2 times ('cause if you buy it and you don't install it you have to buy it AGAIN), sounds like just a CRAP. It's like driving a tuned Fiesta!!! The 1.2 liter not the rally one ;)
No, but, seriously. What is this? Even the one in the demos that had the GTpsp sample sounded much, MUCH, really, MUCH better.

I hope they patch all this sh**** sounds fast!

[...]? Even the titanium super race exhaust that I had to buy 2 times ('cause if you buy it and you don't install it you have to buy it AGAIN)
No, you don't have to do that.
If you don't install it, it will go in the item list menu as a "tuning item", where you can install it at a later time on your currently selected car, or give it to friends as a gift.

But I could not install it when I wanted to "test" the different sounds of the exhausts in the tuning settings before race... :grumpy:

Ah, now I see what you mean. A sound "preview" before and after installing the exhaust would be a good idea. Horns have a similar option.

Hmm you can´t make a preview, but a "review" of the exhausts. Simple buy (and install) all three of them, go to your garage, select your car with the new three installed exhausts and run the demo mode.

Before starting the demo mode, change the exhaust in the tuning menu.

I hated my Mustang GT so much I sold it. waste of money that was. depreciation is a horrid thing in the world of GT.

The Cobra R is ok I cant get rid of my mustang Im a big mustang and subaru guy just cant do it ill just have to work on tuning it more.

Well I have found that a general rule of thumb

Sports exhaust - adds bassy boom
Semi-racing adds a bit of rasp to the boom
Racing adds more volume, dirt/distortion

My Vitz and Az-1 with sports exhaust sound really boomy. The smooth kind of muffled boom
When in doubt eitehr go sports or racing. The Semi-racing tends not to sound good and a bit too dry

A car with a race exhaust will over power all stock cars on the track, especially on replay :)

Modding the induction side will also change the sound. The intake and exhaust sides of the car have their own sound.
Not so much in the filter tyres, but the manifold

BMW 1-Series + Sport Exhaust + Stg 3 turbo = AWESOME.

I rediscovered this last night while taking mine around the Ring. If you haven't bought one, I suggest you do.

I don't know wether this is a bug or due to PS3's small memory

But if you set say a race exhaust in your garage and go to the track, it will sound as it is, but if you change back to stock exhaust in the settings page while on the track screen, the sound won't change. And vice versa stock to race.

When you exit back out and then go back in the sound changes...
So it makes it hard to compare sounds :(

I only noticed this while trying to make a video of the 370z comparing sounds, but yeah there is big difference in sound, and sounds much better than in the Time Trial 👍
370z has the honky warble when you upgrade it
