But, of course . . . the possibilities are endless.

It all takes a bit of organising, though. Doesn't even have to be in this thread - I'm sure players out there will organise many challenges that they have set up with friends.

Having user-created tracks in Rabbit Hub challenges will entail participants having to download the particular track for the challenge - not a difficult thing - but as yet we are in the very early stages of this app. Hardly a week.
Sure as time goes on and we get comfortable with using it, those winning Design-an-Event tickets will include more tracks to play with.

If we are to expand this project then maybe we should also split some of this activity.
We need:

More B-Spec Contests.
More A-Spec contests based on offline races.
Arcade-type contests

ETC!

For this we need more than one ph:nervous:t:eek:nrider.

There is no other @photonrider! I certainly don't want to make extra work for you, as you already take such good care of this wonderful thread! Waiting a little while, while we see how many bugs and things are found and worked out with the CM, sounds like a good idea! 👍 Sorry for jumping the gun a little bit, but this course creator adds so much more to this game it's exciting!

Thank you for the kind words - yes, I do find it time-consuming, but I'm very endeared to my buddies in here and hate to let them down, so I try to keep up.

And never apologise for being enthusiastic about the game! :D It's enthusiastic players that always enliven any competition.

I'm thinking - maybe the baron can organise some B-Spec contests for us, or someone else can organise another section of the contests, and so on, and i can always manage the OP.

We'll mull this over and see how we can get it to work.
Having everything in one thread is good for players to pick and choose what contests they like to enter.

Well I've heard of Baron Spec events before, but what the 🤬 are B spec events??? ;)

Cheers

Some updates,
2015-10-07 02.29.50.jpg 2015-10-08 01.45.46.jpg

So we have some new TT's and Drift trials, which means new events are soon to follow!

I have an idea for the Intermediate event at Madrid: The Spanish Matador.
It involves taking the 2004 SEAT Ibiza Cupra around Madrid and trying to reign in all rabbits! Shortest time between P1 and P12. Player must win.

When I get another chance to sit at the console I'll post a pic of my first try here...

Edit: WOW this one should be interesting! Trying to get the lead pack to slow down to the snails pace that is the back rabbit is tough! The "pit" maneuver is in full use here! Good Luck!

B-Spec events would be players racing their B-Spec drivers against each other as we ourselves do here.
We did have one series run already - the GT3 Series - but i was hoping to run some more.

In the future I see people remote-racing their B-Spec drivers against each other, while watching these races on tablets wherever they go.
In fact they may be able to race them live on those tablets - since racing your bots doesn't really need a wheel and pedals.
So we will prepare this way. ;)

Busy with work now - but will return some time today to clean up the OP and add new events.
Congrats to all the winners - it was good running - and praise for the runners-up - you guys keep the leaders on their toes! 👍

Another 'pace car' event - from the man who really knows how to compress a field.
That's kind of like running with the bulls, isn't it?

@ photonrider , Great job as always

Stop stroking me. :grumpy: I spend so much time on this thread I have no time to actually do the events.
Just consider yourselves lucky otherwise I would have whipped everybody's asses if I had more time.

:O

Okay moving on . . .

I think in Slipstream steve nfs had a 4:43.332 for 2nd place

Thanks, @nowayback 👍 - keen eye as usual; this is the sort of help I'm talking about; many head are better than one. There was a story in the Digest way back, maybe thirty years ago where they gathered a group of uber-athletes - an astronaut, an F1 driver, and so on. They spun a vinyl record and told the athletes to read the title on the label. Only the F1 driver could do it successfully. That just goes to show that how much vision is a part of racing - things that move stand still for a racing driver.

 Just saw this... It doesn't matter. I am still learning to drive and tune only since end of last year's. nowayback ...

Good cheer about it, but as casual as we are in here, when it comes to statistics we're sticklers - so I set the record straight and shoved big Moose's stirling performance down a rung.
Hopefully this will then get a feud going.

@nowayback and @Ed_Night have one winning ticket each as per the rules - full regulations and Whoosier-ruled.
@TheInfamousJEW6 has used his remaining ticket - this will be used as an OPEN event. (bonus trophy for anyone who also bags a Whoosier-ruled trophy)

One more event will also be scheduled over the weekend to bring the count up to six events again to be run till the Seasonals are again cycled.

I see no one has challenged Moose's Ringbird time, though I must assume there may be a few drivers out there giving swift kicks of frustration at Yellowbirds. Such a great car though, to boss at the Ring, such an exhilarating drive, a dance that satisfies a wheelman's heart, when you partner is in synch, whatever the time spent.

... shoved big Moose's stirling performance down a rung.

Ah well never mind, you also missed out my effort in the Delorean (post 1044). Looking forward to the next set of challenges.

Would this herring be red by any chance? That would be awfully fishy. :mischievous:

Oh, don't take @nowayback seriously - he's done this before.
They try to take his console away from him but he sneaks back. After tossing his winning ticket into the crowd.

@StirlingMoose - thanks for the heads-up, will insert your time to keep the record straight. 👍

Edit: 8 people on that leaderboard, possibly the highest turnout we've had in an event - at least in terms of submitted times. Great run by everybody, and an indication that this car/challenge combo was an interesting race.

@nowayback - I will arrange a new event for the Beginner's myself.

Even if they take the console away @nowayback, it's okay to post messages - 'help', 'dying' etc. We'll console.

OP updated with @TheInfamousJEW6's challenge.
Congrats to @Ed_Night who is now a full-fledged Licenced Rabbit Hunter with all VicReign Rights and can now take part in the Special Settings challenges. Ed also has a ticket to design the fresh challenge at the Intermediate A-Spec at Madrid.

Further challenges will be scheduled soon. 👍 Enjoy your break. :)

Just one little correction to the OP for my event @photonrider :O The time that you posted is just a little off. It should be 20.089 for the gap between P1 and P12. ;) I'd be thoroughly amazed if ANYONE gets that small of a gap in this event!

:ouch:

These decimals are making me go blind!

Over 20 seconds for the entire field to report in? Must be that last corner. We have to hold them all back at the last corner before we make a run for the finish. Without getting gang-banged, of course. Correction made - thanks for the quick heads-up. 👍

First stab with the Seat. Didn't bother with much tuning, just engine stage 3 and SH, and srf to make it more planted for when push comes to shove. Going faster doesn't seem to offer much advantage.

Good Time!! 👍 I'll have to try your less power approach and see how that works... They're just so pushy back there!

I really got to try more of these events... I've been so wrapped up with the GT3 event at Suzuka, I've forgotten the spice of life variety aspect of the rest of the game .

Like Arnie says... I'LL BE BACK!

Cheers

1:47's in this McClaren seems just out of my reach! :banghead: Managed one fast lap of 1:48 which earned me this 3rd place... But a 19 second lead over Didier  Not going to happen from me! Back to Madrid to see if I can get close to Stirling!

That's some really fast times from Allison and Didier.

______________

I need a timesheet from some able-bodied but idle rabbit hunter - take a fully armed Lancia Stratos to HSR in the Beginner Seasonals and find me a really fast AI driver. In other words I'm looking for a timesheet based on fastest AI time in P2 with the Player in P1.
Is it Vitale? Chapman? Let's find out.
Doing it in a Stratos just adds a little bit of an edge. All out speed doesn't matter - it's a case of finding the right field and teasing the leader to run as fast as possible.

And talking about 'teasers' another 'Commander' event coming soon:

Lotuscommander_zps5fxntdbd.jpg

Which colour was the fastest, again? :D

Bringing them all together at the finish line will be proof of the pudding.
Then you can be called: Commander - Lotus Positions.
Details soon.
