Finally got a decent run through the field.

This thread is about analyzing those rabbits, right ? I'm confused with this challenge on arcade mode with professional AI. Using 400pp, comfort soft tires for this point to point race. Not fair.. Disqualify those two cars using sport tires

This just in . . .

Ford and BMW teams found cheating.

Interesting find, @steve nfs - IIRC, I saw this happen in GT5, too - but I'll have to go back and check.
Obviously this happens because the programmers are using a mix of available cars, and some of these may come with those tires stock; both those cars are later models and supersports, too. I wonder if this happens with custom tracks, too, and if we can investigate further to see what triggers it.
I spent some time in GT5 trying to figure out what triggers the field but not enough evidence to make a proper conclusion.

Meanwhile . . . I could murder Jenkins.
As you can see I've got the whole pack faithfully following me like impatient puppies as I pace them through the course in Madrid. But check out that pussy, Jenkins, lagging in the back.

spainpace_zpsqges56c5.jpg

As you can see from the above shot I've got them all marshalled (check out my rear view mirror) but from the GPS readout it is quite apparent that even if we were racing at full tilt Jenkins is there to troll us and nothing else. If we had gone six laps he would have got in everyone's way.

spainjenkins_zpskzequavm.jpg

But that darn cat has it in for me - I've met him in other races and he is either a slouchy back-marker to be quickly passed or he's sometimes in mid-pack causing swaying mayhem. If I meet up with him he'll do his best to bang up my car however I dodge. And all I've done was try to make him famous in GT5:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/jenkins-the-gran-turismo-cat.240737/page-21

He's in here - driving a Jag of course (what else would any cat drive?) and doing his best to foil any plan any mice or I may have. If not for him I would have brought the pack in under six seconds.

So,my final time was shot:

Fun stuff Photon! The Stratos is one of my favorites, and the SILEIGHTY looks great in Matte pink!

Monroe sure faught with Vitale in this one! Showing him what that "S" is for in Type S!

After that took the SILEIGHTY, still on Comfort Soft Tires, (right @photonrider?) and just barely kept it off the wall in a few turns... Going to have to work at this one a little...

Amazing bit of driving, Hall. This requires some really intense driving, as well as incredible plotting on the fly - and only those who try this event - especially over and over with the same field - will realise how difficult it becomes once the AI 'learns' what the Player's intentions are. Great job! I don't see anyone beating that. 👍

Wish I had as much time to enjoy the video games I have - all sorts of car racing and driving games are calling - though I have to admit GT is the first that gives me that 'everyday-production car' fix - and I love driving production cars to their limit.
The High-Speed Star is another in the series of 'Star' Events featuring the Stratos - the last one was the Daytona Star (won by the indefatigable nowayback) which showed that the Stratos is a giant-killer in its class, especially in the hands of an expert wheelman. So, addictive fun getting the AI to chase it while retaining control of an absolute monster that wants to run with really long legs.

Monroe sure fought with Vitale in this one! Showing him what that "S" is for in Type S!

It's always interesting to see what the Game (and the AI) comes up with when we challenge this way. History has shown, though, that those NSX's are the dominators in this pack - apart from Chapman in the Elise - and he isn't showing his face at all this time around. We actually tried to tease the Elise out when we had the last VicReign Rights' Event - the Lotus 111R Trophy - in this same Beginner Seasonal but the AI Elise never came out to play. This time the NSX's have the power - Vitale, Monroe, Harvey and Nisimura.
It's one of 'em that's going to come in as the fastest to race in this event.

Yeah, stock tires. 👍 Only rims, colour, and oil can be changed. No rigidity fixes or engine overhauls, etc. You can wash the car as often as you want - maybe it'll become more aerodynamic. :mischievous:

Pushed to the max this inexpensive production sports coupe is a real fun-machine and can get your blood running quite excitedly.

I see that Vic Reign93 stands at 16 trophies, while MTM79 and nowayback hold 15 each.
The end of this round is going to be interesting. As you guys may have observed, the Trophy Board is dynamic - it changes to reflect the Current Trophy Count and the more trophies a player wins the higher up that list they go.

I can see, too, that both StirlingMoose and hall90 have that 3rd trophy finally in their sights as we go into the finish and will soon be able to join us in the Special Restricted Events - going to be some tense battles.

If I had to pick just one car to drive in GT6 it would be the Stratos. I'd already done this race many times in it, stock and with CM and CH tyres, so on SH and with some power upgrades it's no problem winning. Monroe/Vitale seems to be the dream team, but how to make them go faster I don't know. I had Chapman show up once but he was pretty slow in comparison.

I feel the same.
Actually, I have way too many Stratos' in my garage. It's the most of any one model have, not counting all the Furais bought just for their colours. :dopey::dopey:

There is a point I notice where if you keep them in your rear view mirror they stay glued to you. Then you gotta go fast - as fast as you can without breaking that contact. To grab this title one has to be extremely fast - go so fast that they get to the point of snapping the connection, but don't. I don't think these NSXs can go any faster, though. And these are the fastest rabbits in this field.

I had Chapman show up once but he was pretty slow in comparison.
I'm surprised he came out to play with you. Never saw him yet. Wonder what his game is.
Even stranger is that in the One Make Race for the Elise 111R (in Career Mode) Chapman never shows up. He's sort of an 'online' AI - coded for the Seasonals. Meanwhile quite a few of the offline AI race in online races.

Had some time for another go around with the Stratos and the SILEIGHTY... So much fun! 👍

20151020_135531.jpg

I just couldn't get Monroe to go any faster... :banghead:Tried a bunch of other fields, finding Chapman a few times, but no faster times. So here's where I settle...
20151021_172808.jpg

Then this little underpowered sports car... Managed to squeeze a few more seconds out of it... But that's all she wrote...

Now to wait patiently till I can play the new seasonals!

Nice work! Some last minute shenanigans, I see. I gotta admit, even without actually trying to get the top times in those events they were real fun to run. Both the Sileighty (stock), and the hopped-up Stratos were excellent cars to take to this course. Both events became fairly addictive for me.

Entries will be left open for all events till end of day Thursday - so wherever you are, if it is still Thursday, then enter.

Hoping that PD has some surprises in store shortly . . . like 5 events? :)

Congrats to Ed - totally dominating the Intermediate, and rather hefty-sounding titles to his credit - I'm thinking he will get the 'Chuck Norris' award one of these days. 👍
That tenacious and determined infamous Jew bagged yet another title - continuing his streak of winning titles; and proving that even with all assists off and running bone stock he could still scare away contenders, remaining unchallenged except by the stalwart Photon.
Big, big Congrats to Hall and the fiercesome Moose who bagged a double each - and jumps them a level into the ranks of the Licenced Hunters - fully qualifying them to take part in the Special Events reserved for Holders of VicReign Rights (that hallowed title bestowed by the Great Alien himself :mischievous: )

I have to add that this was a really fun round - I'm sorry I did not have ample time to have more shots at the various challenges. I could see - from some of the posts thrown in - that many of you Hunters also had a load of fun with this last round - and here's hoping that this new round will be as enjoyable. Winners should take their time over designing an event - no pressure - if the nowayback Clause is used and there is none forthcoming by the end of the weekend, events will be arranged by yours truly. I see a lot of potential to have some great challenges and exciting races with this particular batch of Seasonals.

H.

Edit:
@steve nfs - dang, sorry but in the shuffle of the trophy list I seem to have misplaced your set of trophies. :irked::banghead: Do you remember your titles and can you let me have the list again?
I have made a copy of the present trophy list and filed it elsewhere - never realised the OP was the only spot with a copy I could scan.

Further edit:
I realised later I had misplaced Whoosiergirl's trophies, too - fortunately she has been up on the Board so long I remembered every one of them. Also fixed now.
To explain - how the Trophy Board works is that as a player gets more trophies they move up the Board. The only other factor influencing the order would be how long they have been on the Board - the longer they have been here the higher up on the Board if equalled with others having the same amount of trophies.
This means I have to cut and paste sometimes and I cut and lost. Ooops.

Takes a bow..I'd just like to thank my friends and family who have encouraged me on my journey, and to all those who have helped me with tunes and advice, and of course Photonrider, who has made all this possible, but most of all I'd like to thank @nowayback for going away for two weeks and without whose absence I would probably not be standing here now.
Seriously though, I'm chuffed to obtain my VicReign Rights and looking forward to participating in the special events.

Photonrider, you know you can save a copy of the OP in case you have another senior moment.

Now then, two tickets. I'm having trouble coming up with something for the beginner race. I've tried out a few ideas but 6 laps in a slow car can be pretty soporific. I thought maybe "how many cars can you lap?" but even with a fully decked out GSX-R I couldn't quite catch the back-marker. @steve nfs had the great idea of doing pit-stops but that's hard to prove. If anyone has any ideas I'll be happy to hand them my ticket.

I know we've just had the Cappuccino but we only got a few days to enjoy it and it was such fun, so for the intermediate one I'd like to propose -

Objective: Largest gap P1 to P2 (player must win)
Vehicle: Cappuccino (EA21R) '95

20151024_161554.jpg

Doesn't matter .

Thanks for being nice about it - but it does matter. If we aren't proud of the trophies we've won, then half the fun is lost; we all know how hard it is to acquire a trophy - takes many tries and quite often many battles with another player - so you deserve every title you earn.
A little investigation netted me this:

The French Revolutionist (French cars at Mid-Field)
The Lightning Rod (SVT Lightning at SSR5)
Indiana Zones Whip (GT350 at Indiana)

Fixed up the trophy wall - and you are all good now - reputation intact. :) 👍

Still a little old rookie trying to learn those ' wonderful ' cars physic from this game almost a year (started from Nov. last year online). GT1 to 5 offine. (No Wifi)

The main thing is to enjoy the game - if not you are trying to turn it into a career.
There is no real career in this, unless you are a dev.
Some make it into the real world of racing through the aptitude test we call 'GT Academy' - but that still is a bit of an anomaly in the racing world; the percentage of real world racers that get into real world racing officially through a video-game is miniscule in comparison to the many thousands of real world racers the world over that actually drive and race real vehicles from their childhood. But, in terms of simulation and practise, in terms of gauging hand/eye coordination and decision-making skills, then Gran Turismo is a great tool and a great game, too - and your trophies show your skill at it. 👍

So OP was proudly updated with your trophies again - I share your pride. :sly:

So after a few hours of playing with an almost stock 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 around a few custom tracks made by myself and others I think I finally decided on an event:

Track: Road Atlanta 2.1 If you have any problems using this link please let me know. Or feel free to add me on PSN.

Vehicle: 1966 Shelby Cobra 427. Completely stock except for SS tires. No custom rims. No oil change. Paint color change is ok.

Rules: Set race difficulty to Profesional. 3 laps. All aids off. ABS 0 TCS 0
Track grip should be set to real in the course settings before starting the race in Arcade Mode.

The GOAL: Find the fastest P2 rabbit. Player must win.

Photonrider, you know you can save a copy of the OP in case you have another senior moment.

I did, way back - but it seems to have swelled overnight. :mischievous: Keeps changing, so I have to make sure a fresh save is done every round.

You may skip this round and wait for the next Beginner Seasonal if you wish, Moose. I can fill the Beginner up with something - or if you find a willing player then gift them your ticket - it doesn't matter if they have never participated before (at least visibly) in any of the events - that's what makes it a gift.

I know we've just had the Cappuccino but we only got a few days to enjoy it and it was such fun, so for the intermediate one I'd like to propose -

Done. The Deep Forest Cup is on and may the hottest shot win.

And now you are qualified to go after the Stock Model/no assist Trophies - these are really special jewels in the crown.

What is the reason for qualifying to do these Special Events?
Simple - honour and fair-play must be observed to run these Special Events; the Rabbit Hunter's code - and so such trust must be earned. No cheater would ever work hard to bag three trophies to get to this level to cheat. You have proved that the person you are trying to beat is yourself. That's what creates honour and makes winners. :) 👍

So after a few hours of playing with an almost stock 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 around a few custom tracks made by myself and others I think I finally decided on an event:

Track: Road Atlanta 2.1 If you have any problems using this link please let me know. Or feel free to add me on PSN.

How many different ways can we download this track?
I'm sure, as one of the CM Help Desk reps, you'd probably know? :sly:
This is the Inaugural Custom Track Challenge - great stuff, @TheInfamousJEW6.
I'm going to hold this over for the full four-week span as noted before, to give all qualified entrants time to attack it at their leisure.
Because special settings were used (unverifiable) it has been limited to Licenced Hunters, too, as was noted on the Ticket.
There are many interesting wrinkles to this event - and if all Hunters follow the specs precisely we are going to see some surprising results - especially in the way of AI fields and behaviour.
My experience has been that the AI get progressively faster in new fields asked for if the Player had won the previous race. This means to get the fastest AI we have to tease it out of the game - especially in Arcade mode where it may be more geared to beginner-level players when the first field is offered up.
As well - does everyone get the same AI? How similar would the fields be?
I'm hoping whatever the times many timesheets are sent in and we can overview these stats.

Qualified Entrants would be:
@Vic Reign93, @MTM79, @nowayback, @Baron Blitz Red, @photonrider, @hall90, @Ed_Night, @StirlingMoose, @TheInfamousJEW6, @WhoosierGirl, and @steve nfs.

As far as I know there are 3 ways to obtain another player's created tracks.
1. Is to use Gtplanet and navigate to the course maker forum then find the course you're looking for click on the red download now button, and it will redirect you to the Gran Turismo community page for that user where you can find and download the track.

2. Is just using the direct URL for the specific user's community page then downloading the track.
EDIT: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE PS3 BROWSER TO ACCOMPLISH THESE STEPS.

3. Would be to friend the user over PSN then in the community section of GT6 (in game) just go to their shared tracks and try whatever you please...

Hope this helps! PLEASE let me know if there are any issues with the link, or process of obtaining the course!

Got nowhere with the first two. Problems with site security certificates, browser freezing, forgetting my PSN log-in, then once I'd logged in the browser had lost my history, so faced with going round the loop again, I've sent you a FR.

Yeah, It really is a lot of work to use that "browser"... Haven't used the PS4s yet, maybe it's better! As soon as I get home I'll sign in and accept it!

You know I was unsure about using the browser to accomplish anything... I tried to get the Sebring track that was featured by the Gtplanet guys to see what all the hubbub was about, but i ran into the same issues that you guys are describing... I attributed it to my Cellphone Internet connection I use... Guess it's probably more the browser's fault than anything else...

I will be more than willing to accept any and all friend requests, no problem at all!!! My friends list has been extremely quiet since the PS4 came out and all my friends moved on! Lol
