Couldn't quite break into the top 100 for this one. Just wasn't gelling with the Giordini on Sports Softs.

Tried to do some extra laps after setting this .641, but I completely lost the plot, probably getting too tired.
Struggled to get the penultimate and final chicanes right, just kept getting over steer under braking into the penultimate chicane, and then wheel spin on exit on the final chicane.

Hoping they don't do any more of these low power sports soft trials again.

DB11 at Sao Paolo is already putting me to sleep, but seems like the kind of trial I can get top 100 with.

I hit the DB’11 hard over the last few days. 💪 I got to a point where the car felt good in my hands, but I reached a plateau at 1:39.499, and just couldn’t get the car wrangled around sector 2 with any consistency. Watching some of the top replays, I did see a couple things to work on and improve, and I lowered my time to a 1:39.427. Seeing that this is a 0.88% difference to P1 (a large gap!) is humbling!!

I can’t decide if I like this car better with CSA on, or off. When it’s on, I’m more consistent in sector two. When it’s off, I I can go slightly faster in sector one because the car rotates more easily and it oversteers and pops out of the turn into the ideal line. My current personal best was set with CSA on, but I can see why it might be faster to leave it off here if one has enough practice and skill to be consistent. I keep telling myself I should just commit to leaving CSA off 😂

So it’s currently P34 for me; I might keep going on this one as I saw optimal in the .2s….

I kept finding the car becoming wildly different midway through a session...and then it would seemingly revert back to a state I could go fast with. I had one lap Monday night where it legitimately would not stop sliding all lap, and the next lap it was fine. Annoyingly, but unsurprisingly, my time (which was good for 90th) immediately got bumped out of the top 100, and is still sitting at 106th...but given how I acquired the lap, I felt it best not to bother wasting my entire night chasing what would not be attainable again.

I mowed the lawn on another 90 degree day, then had a Hot Dog & Beer Pairing, so I'm tired and just want to go to bed...so I went to Interlagos with the DB11!

The tires are absolutely horrific, but I was able to do a 1:40.349 the first time out with very little focus and a mild headache. Optimum was only a .209 tonight, but I'm sure I wasn't really doing all the right things (yesterday afternoon was stressful enough at work that I didn't even do a TT because I was so wiped...it's still somewhat translating to today), and I only watched @Tidgney 's video right before to refresh myself from when I watched it a week ago and proceeded to not even try out the TT until tonight haha.

I shall improve, I'm sure.

Probably.

Ah, summer with its medley of aperitifs on the terrace, barbecues with friends, village festivals and above all the football world cup... serious competitors to reserve time behind the wheel.

I would have liked to pay a more vibrant tribute to the Gord, who allowed many talents to blossom in my country.

PB at 59.934... if I had attached those two together, I could go down to 58.728.

And finally, L-shooter broke the wall of 57.xxx and f?!#%+d my DG score 😅

So this is why we have Kimi on top of F1 leaderboard and won 3 Le Mans in a row? Now it all makes sense to me.
Don't mind the sobbing and crying you hear coming from the corner, that's definitely not me knowing that 20 years ago Italy won its last knock-out match in a World Cup

That's true though. 2010 no victories at all in a ridiculous group stage, 2014 we won against England but failed to qualify for knock-out. Which means that the last victory in a knock-out game was against our "beloved" cousins of France in 2006 in Berlin exactly 20 years ago. (Sorry, now I'm going to take a shower. Not because of the heatwave, but just so that I don't notice my tears any more)

Not to mention the mother of all dives to win against australia in the first knock out game in 2006 ;)

Gave the Aston a whirl last night, TBH it feels pretty good to drive and sounds great, gob bless V12 engines. I am very close to gold but having trouble locking the rears on corner entry, not sure if driving more smoothly works better or driving even harder as some seem to be doing on replays?

I guess we got another Spa TT because the Mercedes one ends before the F1 weekend. At least it is always super easy to get gold at Spa.

Well, tried throwing the DB11 around again last night. Not much more improvement but some. I have S1 down, can hit .200 often. Occasionally a .150. And S3 is okay, all depends on that exit speed. But that God forsaken S2 last half is killing me in this car. Looking at sector times and am actually losing more than .500 there. Two places mainly, T10 and 11, T 9 is hit or miss. I did figure out what I am doing in T10 but fixing it is taking work. I'm entering too tight in fear of the car spinning out on the entry being wide. You know what I mean. 😉 so I cannot get the burst of acceleration needed to capture the time. I was feeling like I could get that elusive top 50 here, but the DB11 seems to be uncooperative in this goal. Maybe a couple wall jams at 150 mph will change it's attitude. 🤣

Don't know what you're talking about... (I remember our newspapers being a bit criticizing, calling him "shrewd" since the AU player could not disappear and he just walked into him knowing he'd tramp and fall)
Anyways, that generation got robbed by the biggest scandal in the history of WC ever, look at Italy-Korea...

But maybe we should get back on track now, like literally

Hi Guys,

A quick visit on the forum!

I only did a few laps on day so might be misremembering. But I believe that breaking lightly and just letting it roll before smoothly getting back on throttle worked really well on the non hairpin corners.

Definitely left many tenths on the table from some potential optimum but it was a safe gold. Also I'm just not good enough to easily get close to my personal ceiling.

And unlike most here I personally lack the motivation to put in the hours. You grinders here are the true beasts and the real heroes. Inspiring.
