Gave it a really good crack at this combo. First in the Lexus RC F, reached a mid 27 ceiling with that car.

Grabbed a large coffee from the convenience store, hopped in the NSX, installed training wheels (CSA strong), ran 100 miles, and reached a 1'27.195.

I'm not an excellent gr.2 driver but I do enjoy the task of trying to unlock its potential. However, I have no plans to return as its a little too 'un-relaxing' for my tastes.

Weak ABS.

Fuji and Interlagos seem to be ridiculously over-represented in these TTs...or am I imagining things?
Interlagos more so, unless you count the two short Fuji ones. But doing that for all would make Nurburgring feature highly (15 over different layouts) and RBR would get one more (1 short track event). Either way, Spa and RBR are still the most used ones in main layout.

I dunno, I don't remember Fuji much at all recently. I don't mind this combo, just wish there was no chicane but I don't me some Group 2 high downforce "chuck er in and see is she sticks" stuff.

I'm assuming the person decided combos this week is on holiday as the dailies felt very "lazy" and now this time trial feels the same! Even so it is a fun combo. Here's the guide!

Wait a tick??? Didnt we have this already a few months back? PD why???

Finally got onto the Kyoto time trial - 1:58.272 with an optimum of .101. Not too bad.

I'm sure there's plenty more time to be had, as these were by no means clean laps. Would've done more, but I ran wide/crashed just before the end of the lap so, I didn't feel like completing an additional invalid lap to get to the next one at this point.

Pretty fun, though! (I am sure I'll be saying otherwise the next time out, as I try to dip into the 1:57s)

Whenever I stuff up at the end or get a penalty that invalids the lap I just pause and hit retry.

Stuff going around for another compromised lap.

If I've already had a good lap in a session, I'll go round again so I keep my reference delta

If not then yeah pause and restart is the way to go. I do wish there was a way to save your delta and use that (or for example have the ghost as your delta time) rather than just have the "visual ghost".

Yaah I wonder why PD don't use some more variation when game allows both time of day, day condition, rain, and even tuning. Wouldn't it be fun full tuning allowed on some TTs and to make it even more challenging pick a group of cars and allow tuning on all of them... I think it would be fun but maybe others think differently?

I got a comfortable silver in the NSX but quite far off gold - from previous experience, this seems to be a notable 'controller v wheel' track/car combo; Fuji and Le Mans in particular have a big margin of difference for me, with the wheel vastly superior in both cases.

While I don't have my wheel setup, silver will have to do unless the Lexus proves to be a better option.

Not sure if its a gtsport vs gt7 thing or controller vs wheel thing but im just not as comfortable in gt500 group 2 cars as I was in gtsport on a controller. They feel very, very easy to light up the rears.

Tried all three cars and instantly got below 1.30 on my 1st lap but I can't improve, topped out at a 29.4, optimal 29.1. I just cannot square rhe car up, my issue is wheelspin but its not from too much throttle, I can't rotate the car to get it square. I am horrendously slow through the chicane, must be losing 1 second through there, nfi how guys carry so much speed, just no idea.

I'll gold this but its going to annoy me I can feel it.

This is specifically why I don't restart most of the time, because I want the live delta, as well as my optimum sectors. Why those get erased is beyond me.

No, it would not! Well, for me anyway. I am all for plug-and-play and could not be bothered spending time trying to figure out a tune that works - I still have a notebook with pages of data trying to figure out if Kie25's, Tidgney's, Digit's, Mistah's, or other random people's tune would help me tame the NSX Type R around Nürburgring Nordschleife.

By the way, that TT from January 2023 is still the hardest TT to date by my suspicious methodology, with the only other TT that allowed tuning, Laguna Seca in a Mustang GT, at 6th hardest. That was March 2023 and they've done no tuning TTs since then. I wonder if that is just laziness, or if there was some issue in the background that makes it difficult for them to manage.

On the other hand, despite the two dirt TTs and one of the snow TTs being in that top 6 list, I'd be very happy to have more of those, given you've now taught me how to drive on dirt and snow.

Hello guys. By any chance, did someone tried the time trial with the GT-ONE? Yesterday I did 22 laps and hit the mark of 1.35.2. What caught my attention was how terrible this car was to drive under this BoP. For me, there is no way to understand why they categorized the GT-ONE as a Gr.2 car. Why PD dont put on Gr.1?

I think the same problem happens with the McLaren And the Mercedes, but it is what it is.

Then I switched to the Lexus and managed to hit a 1:29.2, its my favorite Gr.2 and this combo on Fuji feels good man.

Got back into silver after g_msk74 pushed me out, not by much so I'm hoping for the best. :nervous:

Managed silver on the new one as well with the Nissan GT500 2016, not by much here either, so I'm kinda :nervous: for this one as well. :)
