Relatively content with this lap-time, I don't have a lot of knowledge of this track. Weak ABS and CSA strong.

I might return to this one, but unlikely, its just too cut throaty with the unbelievably complicated chicane in the middle. Fun, but not enjoyable If you're going for a perfect time.

After some time away from the game, I came back to attack some TT's and managed this at Spa. Its a good TT but the McLaren feels sluggish to me as a gr.4 but I think can push it further with more tries.

Wigneswaran... nine accounts in the top 25.
I'm nowhere close to a top 25 guy but that is exceedingly irritating. :irked: It's pretty irritating anywhere on the boards really. I mean in any given TT I have probably dozens of laps that are within a tenth or so of my top time. But it's the top time that matters.

Urrrgh why reverse? Honestly just add more tracks instead of borking good ones. Gave it a lash, yeah the reverse layout is bleh. Got it down to a few tenths from gold in 10 laps but this will be tight, not an easy one.

Ah, the holy Spa, my absolute favourite track to drive on, and my BY FAR worst track to time trial, always losing bunch of time in sector 2 compared to the top guys, especially the two left handers (11 and Pouhon), and of course, the bouncy-bounce last chicane...

But since I really like driving Gr4, especially this McLaren which has the perfect VR2 position, and is much more managable and predictable compared to any Gr3 car that we usually get to drive here, I decided to really give this one a go and break my rule of 1 session per TT :D

I had a 2:31.3xx for my first session, I had a 2:31.1xx for my second but I was chasing the lucrative 30s, I knew it was possible because I finally figured out how to do S2 properly(ish), and the result finally came in the third session...

I was in a flow state for a full hour, nailing 44.000 S1, doing a .150-190 S2 but every single time ruining the lap completely in the last chicane. And on this lap I actually did a poor S2, I think around .270, but nailed the last one perfectly and here it is, my best TT result on Spa ever. Knowing my best sector times, I guess a flat .800 was doable but that would require at least couple more grinds and soaked T shirts, so - no. This will do, travelling to Yamagiwa next :D

Im just happy I beat Danny and all of his cloned assasins in my final run of this combo this morning😁

1'57.253 (2nd global)

(Splits 463, 900, 140)

Car got a bit too out of shape during final corner as I went for an intentional drift as a method to arrest the speed, but it backfired and was forced to stabilise the car first before spotting and taking the exit.

Still wasn't a terrible final sector as I did take the S section pretty well. I'll see y'all in a week.

I forgot how tremendously bad that AMG understeers...except when, you know, it doesn't (usually if it is in a position to run over a bollard).

Still, I was able to get down to a 2:17.390, with an optimum of a .119...and yet, I'm still ~2000th. Gross.

The lack of the ability to turn CSA on really screws me up, even though the car typically is OK - I'm just not able to be aggressive enough for fear it'll spin right around. But also the horrible understeer.

(I know that I went mega sideways in T1 and over the curb too far in Pouhon - it turned too much that lap instead of what it normally does)

Yes like this!

Discovered a few little idiosyncrasies, stay in 4th right to the very end for turn 1 braking. Downshift to 1st gear for tight right after split 1, even though it bounces off limiter, for some reason its slightly faster but not by much.

Turned controller sensitivity up to 4 from -2.

The 2 findings made compiling this lap relatively simple, infact I did 2 back to back .24x a few laps prior to this one. I believe I can get a .9xx as my chicane before split 2 was dog 💩.

Those same two corners are in my nightmares! I lose so much time there, I do not know why, I mean, they don't 'seem' complicated, but no matter the event, I struggle to get through them with the speed needed to get the times I am after.
ANY tips on this is very welcomed.
My S1 I am floating in the 44.150 - .250 and S2 I think it is 1:07.700 ish and a lap time of 2:08.048

Don't slow down because you'll understeer off the track, but do slow down because you'll drive off the track, but also don't because you won't have enough downforce to make it around, but do because you might have too much and go in a straight line.

Also the car might, magically, rotate too much and send you through all of the bollards. And then make it worse by turning effortlessly on the rest of the lap.

Woot!! Got it down a bit. I messed up on S1, lost .100 and then missed the very next turn and probably lost at least .100. But then nailed my best downhill section run ever. Also got last sector really well. So my current goal achieved. I may keep trying and pick up what I missed on this lap. Dunno.

Back to The Understeer Factory - the AMG at Spa! Finally strung one very solid lap together and found myself another four tenths, and got myself into the 2:16s (barely, a 2:16.946, but a 2:16 nonetheless)!

My optimum was a .8xx this session around (I think, at least...I accidentally hit retry instead of exit, which...really should have an "Are you sure?" option, since it erases all your session data and ability to save a best lap replay, which is extremely frustrating, as I'd have liked to save that), and I wasn't seeing any real improvement (quite the opposite, actually, the car refused to do much of anything, as it was probably pouting from accidentally letting me have a good lap), so I called it quits.

I got my 2:16, got in under 1000th (839th - probably 900th by the time this ends), and that's that for this one.

Then I get to...go...back to Spa for the one ending Thursday?

Oh yes, the accidental "Exit" tap, 😒 I have lost a few replays as well with that one. Yes, it needs a confirmation for sure!!! I have literally sit there staring at that exit 'ok' block cussing it with the strength of an aircraft carrier full of sailors knowing I was about to lose my replay and lap data!
I am going back to the AMG today and give it a whirl, I too need the same time you achieved. I am shooting for 16.8xx's. I tried for about 5 minutes last night, but I had just came off from the 650, and I couldn't adjust, so I will try fresh today.
Then it is off to Japan, I got a Gold lap yesterday, so need to work it down and see if a top 100 is in reach with this one.
