That's what most crates are. You need a special event crate to get the cool stuff.

I thought they were all special event crates. :grumpy:

When a crate is scheduled to be dropped, it'll say 'special crate' in yellow letters rather than white. If you weren't in the session when the prompts came up, you can tell what kind of crate it is by the flare. A yellow flare is a special crate, a red flare is a normal crate.

What's the best assault rifle to use? I mainly use the Bullpup rifle but I can't help but notice it takes an awful lot of rounds to kill enemies during missions. Is there a more effective rifle I can use or is it just because they're super crazy insanely heavily armored enemies?

The Special Carbine tends to be more effective and cause more damage at close-medium range. The regular Carbine does seem to have a greater lock-on distance so I find myself using that more often as it is a more flexible weapon. I probably use the Gusenberg more than both of them as it has higher damage and range at the expense of accuracy. As well, it looks and sounds better to me.

I use the Special Carbine. With auto-aim I just lock on and lightly push the stick up for a headshot.

Conserve a lot of ammo as well.

The Gusenberg is an amazing gun!

Upon a quick research of the GTA Wikia, apparently the Advanced Rifle is the most damaging assault rifle.

The standard carbine and the advanced rifle are the best.

The carbine has good accuracy and the advanced rifle is basically a spray and pray gun.

I'm having too much fun golfing by myself in the snow, and that concerns me. A lot.
I mean you are from Arizona, aka Florida west of the Mississippi

Oh. Do Special Crates not spawn in invite only lobbies with just one person?

Very rarely, but it is possible. I think it's only solo sessions they don't spawn, unless Rockstar changed it.

R* changed it, you need at least 4 people for crate drop event to start, after the start they can leave and you can get it by yourself, but the 10 hour message won't pop up unless there's 4 in a session.

I've got a free crate in my PS4 session with just me (Didn't even need the lag switch, the game did it itself ), if you want it, tell me on here or message me (PSN is my username), I'll give it till 11:45 (17 minutes, before I claim it for myself)

I've been thinking, what do you guys prefer for health displays? Numerical or a bar like we currently have right now? I prefer having a number because it's easier to tell how much health you have. Plus, it's more accurate to determine how much damage a weapon does, compared to others.

GTA Online on XBOne is taking a dump tonight. I keep being placed in lobbies with no one in them, even when using "Find a New Session" multiple times, and I keep crashing out into single player mode when trying to join missions.:indiff:

Got family over, desperate to play in the snow!

I heard XBL and PSN were both getting DDoS'd last night.

The early hours of yesterday on Xbox One, I kept getting kicked back to single player.
