Did you actually hear that from a reputable source, or are you just reading what people here (who have no idea what they're talking about) said?

It does look arcadey in the gameplay trailer and not just when the car was weaving sharply on the freeway.

I hope that multiplayer is similar to the system in Red Dead Redemption where you start off in Free Roam , but there's lots of things to do like form possees *crews* and take out gangs and stuff.
Hopefully you can do much more in the online like the single player such as tennis or golf !

Can't wait.
Exactly what I am hoping for. 16 player co-op modes like in RDR.

This game is the reason I won't get a PS4 until Christmas of 2014...its seriously going to occupy me for that long. Looks freaking amazing!

GTA has always been arcadey, even with the weighted cars in GTA IV it was still hardly a realistic simulation.

In terms of handling right?
Damage is brilliant and makes up for the lack of simulation(for me at least) physics(handling)that games like GT need, but of course licensing costs etc.

I quite liked the driving physics in GTA IV. But from the trailer for V, it did look a bit too Out Run-ish, when the F620 (I think?) was lane hopping on a freeway.

Physics from IV were better and more challenging that previous games,V looks as though its gone back before IV.

CVG also said in one of their GTA5 o'clock videos that they have slightly changed the physics of driving to make it a little more easy for everyone. Hope the change isn't too big.

Rockstar rarely disappoint though, and I doubt this will be any different:tup:

I remember people complaining that the cars were too hard to control when 4 came out. Hopefully we don't end up with cars that handle like Crusin USA because of that.

Yeah I don't mind that as long as the rest of the game's good.
Physics from IV felt maybe a little too challenging.

Now, I know it's easy for us to scoff because we're actual driving enthusiasts, but surely nobody actually found it hard to drive in IV?

Piece of cake. And fun to do so, I always thought.

Yes for us. But for some correcting a slide or controlling wheelspin is apparently a tedious task.

A slide? I couldn't ever get the tail to step out of anything other than a muscle car. The sports cars felt powerless, super cars felt glued to the road. The bigger/family cars understeered. Every car seemed to have traction control and I had to use a lot of effort to get a car sideways, even in the wet.

I've watched and then played a little GTA 4 on ps3, doesn't look good anymore this game. It's horrible graphics turned me down.

When it came out it was really great, i loved so much but after so long time it's just awful :)

Thought it might interest some. As of now, GTA V has 783,107 pre-orders in the US alone, & is already expected to break the COD first-day sales in the UK.
http://www.vgchartz.com/preorders/

What's interesting is that those numbers are more than COD:Ghosts, Battlefield 4, & WatchDogs' pre-orders all combined; 732,000 between the 3 (includes the XOne & PS4 orders for BF4 & COD).

*This isn't a dig at the other 3, just an observation.

Speaking of pre ordering, I'm gonna pre order GTA V and GT6 soon at Gamestop. I'm between thinking of going there or online and get them shipped to my house. Probably so it on my birthday or in August.

I'm going to be preordering the Collectors GTAV edition & GT6 from Gamestop and having them delivered

Great observation. GTA5 is looking to be one of the best sandbox games ever created and a massive step forward from GTA4. The amount of hype is not that surprising. They have had a long time to dial this game in. Plus with other sandbox titles out there like Crackdown and the Saints Row series, competition always presents new innovative ideas. So I have a feeling GTA5 is truly going to be incredible....hopefully. Well it cant be any more disappointing than GTA4 that's for sure.

I still wish they would release the info about the co-op and multiplayer. REALLY interested in the co-op mode(s). Crossing fingers for 16 player co-op modes like RDR.

I'm for sure not alone, when I say V's probably the most anticipated game of the year. The 783000(+) preorders online backs that up.

- I'll for sure go for my first preorder with V, but I'm not sure if I should place my order now, or wait, as the price might drop before September :boggled:...

I would suggest placing your pre order now. Plus if the price drops, you can pay the lower price. Pre-ordering the game is just a place holder.
And yes this is easily the most anticipated title of 2013. It will also probably be GOTY 2013. The only competition it has is The Last Of Us.

Is there any online retailer in the UK that are selling the collectors edition? I can't find one.

16 player co-op would be brilliant.
I'm sure more info on multiplayer will come soon.
This should be a great game but I'll wait for reviews before I buy I think.

I wouldn't exactly call GTA V a sandbox. More like an open-world game.

I thought that when you pre-ordered stuff, you only paid when the stuff was sent from the store? Atleast, that's what they do where I order things.

Really :D? I'll probably go for the preorder tomorrow, then.

I don't really know, as this'll be my first preorder. But, it sounds like you (and CB :D) have tried it before, so I would guess you're both correct.

I checked Gamespot UK's site & it initially shows the CE, but when you click to pre-order, it only shows the regular copy.

The initial reports about the CE selling out originated from the UK, but that was back in June.

With the hype surrounding this game, I can't imagine a reason any retailer would suddenly drop the price, unless you're referring to the minimum limit needed to pre-order.
