About time. Sheesh that's only 1 month before the game releases. Hopefully it is good news. Mainly interested in what they do with the co-op mode.

I think they are obsolete to most people now, I had one for San Andreas and Vice City but nowadays the internet has everything you need.

I did too, but yeah I agree with you the net has pretty much killed any reason for having a guide for game of today or 20 years ago even. There is a guide for any game on youtube or a wikia or anything.

Usually the walk through from a strategy guide is posted online in less time than that considering there are people that get the game about a month early. As soon as it goes gold, the public will have it in their hands. Happens with EVERY [big] game.

Which means we will start seeing people with the game within the next couple weeks. At that point I will bail from this thread for sure. Was hoping to wait until the multiplayer info was released. But if people start posting about having the game, I will be out of here. Which really will be very soon.

ALL the big games leak that early. COD, GOW, HALO, GTA. I guarantee people will be playing and leaking info for GTA5 by August 16th (1 month before the game launches).

This happens for a couple reasons.
1. Once the game goes gold it is stamped and shipped out. The public is not supposed to break the street date but we all know how that goes.
2. Game reviewers always get the game much earlier than the public. Some leak info.
This is really nothing new to anyone that has been gaming for many years.

So I will say again, around August 16th, info will be leaked about GTA5. Hopefully the mp info releases within the next week.

Well, we only know we'll get more information on V Online, at this moment... So technically, yes, more info will be leaked. Though, I believe Rockstar wants to hold tight with as much information as possible, for as long as possible. Maybe we'll get more info, maybe not .

No I didn't mean people "here" on the site will get the game early. However once people in the community get the game we have to make sure that leaked info is not filtered into this thread by accident. GTplanet does a great job of keeping out spoilers. 👍 But they cant catch everything. So again, hopefully the mp and co-op info is released soon so I can bail from this thread.

GTA V will be a huge game so I'm expecting early leaks but a month seems a bit much, I remember watching GTA IV gameplay on a streaming website about 2 weeks before it came out and it got me so excited.

Hmm, 17th is a Tuesday. I've got work that day. I go tesco on the way to work for my drink/food. Maybe pre-ordering at tesco is the best option for me. I could pick it up from click and collect on the way to work.

Wow really, I'd welcome that. The mail carriers are quite late here, if it was USPS then it would be around 4:30pm, if it is UPS or FEDEX it could be any time, but lately the packages from those two have been 5pm with the last order I got being 6pm.

Good thing I pre-order at the store and pick it up on my time.

That's why I pre-order the game at the local stores. Gamestop, Best Buy, Walmart, or Target. Major titles like this arrive anywhere between 2 weeks to 1 month in advance. I know this for a fact since my wife works in retail. She has sent me pics of holding games a month in advance while she was at work. Obviously they cant break the ship date. But if you order locally, the games are in stock well before the street date.

My brother and I will be at the Gamestop midnight launch around 11:45 PM on the 16th and be home installing the game by 12:15 AM on the 17th.

Does anybody else feel that the story won't be very good in this game, and more about expanding and new features? Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely excited to play it, but I just can't see it having the same kind of amazing storyline of GTA SA or IV. For those who follow the storyline you will get what I mean. A good storyline would work with one protagonist because they can focus on it, with 3, maybe not so much.

Other than that, this game is looking funky as hell, I just wish it was released during the 7 week holiday so I wasn't back at school when its launched

The story is going to be amazing just watch , I loved The Warriors, RDR, L.A Noire and all the other GTAs and they surely will have put extra effort into this because they seem to have put extra effort into every other area of the game (graphics, animation, customization, game mechanics .etc).
