Hey guys can you help ????

I've been a big fan of the gta series since the third one. I obviously am getting the biggest game of the century but what I want to know is will the ps3 game be one or two discs. I know Xbox need two discs but not ps3 ?? LA noire was two discs for Xbox and one for ps3 but I don't. Anyone ??!??!

Ryan why do you want to know that??, anyways it will probably be two mate

Ah I just noticed the comments only one then wow what a great console the ps is

Real criminal in this matter is Rockstar and Sony, it's completely their fault only that GTA 5 was released early, not hackers who is working hard on unlocking game.

I don't see a point where hackers are here to blame. They didn't steal game from servers, it was released by Sony and Rockstar. Do you get it or does your logic does't work ? Do you have a logic ?

Early release game is here a problem.

Erm, They released a LOCKED pre-order, which people illegally hacked. Even then they only got a few audio files. Sony and Rockstar just let people download it to let them play it on release and so everyone didn't download it at the same time, impatient hackers just couldn't wait.

I think you're the one who doesn't have logic.

Should Rockstar have known someone would try to hack their game, yes. So maybe they shouldn't have allowed people to pre-order at all.

That said the hackers are the only ones to blame, since they are the ones who broke the law.

Rockstar has gone Gold.

I mentioned them going gold yesterday. <_<

There is no 'criminal' here. Besides, the game wasn't released early, they just put a pre-download up on PSN so people could download the majority of the files to save them waiting 5 hours on release day. R* did all they could to stop the leaks spreading, and no one has actually played the game, only managed to crack open some audio files.

To be honest, I don't really see what your problem is. Unless the ending got spoiled for you and you're annoyed, there's not much to be bothered about.

He is annoyed that psn got it and not Xbox live I think.

I think you're the one without any logic here. By what you claim, nearly every single developer is at fault for their own leaks.

I'm annoyed by the people who blame hackers for trying unlock game that was released way to soon in the first place. So that is the problem and the guilty of if are both Sony and Rockstar.

Thats the only logic exists here, like there is only one universal math in entire universe, same with logic.

If the game haven't been released on psn then you wouldn't be complaining. No reason equals no outcome and consequences.

I like to get my games earlier, this year i had my copy of Last of Us week before other stores get it and i keep it all spoilers to myself. But in GTA5 case there was digital version released not disc one so this is the problem.

There would be no problem with distributing game if it would be released even sooner but both on disc and digitally, then customers would have a choice, in this case it was only digitally released so servers were crashing because customers did not had a choice.

I always like more to have my game on disc rather on my hdd, it's better that way. There is more fun to talk with gamers inside the store rather to seat inside my apartment and watch as download bar grows closer to 100%

I'm almost afraid to ask, but what are you even attempting to argue in the first place? That Rockstar is at fault because the early download that Sony rather foolishly offered (not an early "release") to better guarantee the people buying a digital copy would have access to it on launch (rather than waiting around for it to download all day on the release date and running Sony's servers into the ground, just as with big name Steam releases) was torn apart by hackers who were trying to get the game running before it was actually released? Most certainly a rhetorical question, but do you not understand how ridiculous that is?

I'd be willing to bet when you downloaded the pre-loader, Sony had a paragraph in it that said something along the lines of not taking the files & manipulating them.

Too bad it's not exactly like that.

Oh yes, because there's absolutely no chance the game would be leaked at all before Sept. 17th & spoiled to the majority of people. Oh wait, your next paragraph completely supports that outcome by declaring that you got a game early, but chose not to personally spoil it. There will be people who obtain the game at least 1-2 weeks early & start leaking more than just audio files.

The game itself was not distributed because the files needed to play the game were not included. You can watch all the idiots on YouTube trying to "hack" and finding the error that would not load the game. What they decided to do afterwards was check all the other files & post the audio files.

Rockstar is at zero fault here, however. They did not tell Sony to put such a large file size on the PSN nor did they tell Sony to "distribute the game" as you put it. What Sony did was accidental & foolish, but not any different from reviewers/testers releasing copies of games out to torrent sites; they got leaked.

Developers have never been responsible for leaking their own games unless someone in the company did it. GTA 5 wasn't one of those rare cases.

It is Rockstars' fault. Everyone has been cracking .rpf files since GTA IV, but in GTA V's case, all they had to do was change the audio file's extension to .mp3. Blame R* for not hack proofing their files with a more secure compression method. (I have a feeling this will get deleted)

Anyways, the game should be pressing now since development is finished :)

Are you being serious. MS pull this stuff all the time and yet Sony and Rockstar did one thing and bam, there is something wrong. If Rockstar are bad developers then think about activison. They are worse.

I prefer games on disc to but if I got gta v on Xbox live then I would buy it on there because you have to have two discs.

relax guys why get so agitated over nothing...i mean it doesnt really affect/concern u right plus both parties were at fault...i mean sony should have known better.for example you dont expect to leave your belonging on the street and expect it to be still there right....same logic goes...

I think you need to get your head around the fact that it was not 'released' on PSN. As Tornado explained a few posts back, they offered an early download so people wouldn't be forced to wait on release day for an 18gb download to finish. Hackers then tore the game apart in an attempt to get information, which neither Sony or R* seemed to anticipate.

As for having it on disc, that's your personal preference. For many it's more convenient to download it.

Rumor says the SE and CE will be downloadable on PSN some time after release. I hope it's true, because right now they are god damn expensive. :(

Getting the Collectors Edition for sure, I hope they follow PD's rule and don't put up their Pre-Order bonuses as DLC, so as to make them more unique.

Exciting stuff, I just hope the special editions don't have too much exclusive stuff because I'm getting the standard.

Same, but it's just loking like clothes and vehicles to me, so no biggie:tup:.

Besides, I fully expect these to become dlc at some point anyway.

That's like blaming a business for not having a better security system if they get robbed beyond what they already did. They weren't going to make their audio files hack proof because they're audio files.
