Anyone else think it'd be brilliant if they implemented the tracker/insurance and mechanic from online into single player?!

Millions of copies sold, a few with a problem. I wouldn't worry, just coincidence and since GTA V is the biggest game of the year it gets the blame. 50 people might have had their console die whilst playing WRC 3 but it's unlikely to get the same postings online.

Yeah that would be great. It's way too easy to lose cars in single player :(

Actually, that's the biggest reason why I don't play single player anymore...

This. I seem to recall the same when GT5 came out, and the same will happen when GT6 arrives.
Having said that, GTA V is making my PS3 work harder than I have ever noticed with other games, constantly accessing the HDD.

There is always that "group" that they get a new game and play it 24/7 till their ps3 breaks. If you just make use of regular cleaning and not to play it everyday on a heavy game you should be fine. Still have my phat one running.

It also gives you a feeling of pride and ownership and even confidence, knowing that your car will be there whenever you need it.

Trying that now. I had already reinstalled the gamedata (twice) but went directly to 1.04

Have to ask did it work? Since I have the glitch too and I don't feel like trying to install data unless I know if it will work or not.

For me any Fallout game, especially Fallout 3, made my PS3 work harder than GTA V has. Literally any action required the HDD to work for several seconds until you rested again or hit pause. But yes, I too have noticed GTA V works my PS3 harder than many games I've played. I expected that and did a good cleaning before I bought the game.

Because of poor netcoding. Luckily Skyrim runs a lot better on their new engine but yes the previous Bethesda engine was very poor and outdated. Lots of stress on the machines.

Another example is the TDU1 and TDU2 engine. Those also stress the systems a lot. Poor netcode.

GTA5 surprisingly runs very well. Draw distance is very impressive for a sandbox game.

Well, it didn't work on my old savegame where I have 100%. I just started a new game but didn't update to 1.04. I'm halfway through now ...

Sad to hear it didn't work. :(
I can only imagine how it would feel like having to restart just because of that. :yuck:

Well, it's not that I have to do the whole game all over. You can directly start doing the epsilon missions once you can play as Michael. This only takes 15 minuter or so.

Edit: It works now !!!! Now I can finally walk 5 miles in the dessert, sound awesome !!!

Seems backwards to me, why spend all that money? You'll get it all back eventually.

Don't really care to buy the properties, I like being able to modify cars whenever I want without having to worry about money. 👍

I also said I have all the cars upgraded etc too. What will happen to you is once you blow the money it's gone forever but if you get properties they will pay for your long term fun.

Rubberband your controller all the way to the left or right and go back in about an hour. :D

Glad you're getting somewhere now though.

Why is Chop wearing a bra?

Managed just over 19 hours in an early attempt at a speed run for the storyline:

(the characters are very low on money because it's all invested in Gold Coast - the final mission I did was the last Assassination for Franklin/Lester)

Much less that that is possible - you'll notice I've done some randoms (can't resist a blue dot if it's on the way) and some hobbies (I levelled up Franklin's shooting and I picked the wrong method for speed for the Merryweather Heist and had to put Michael through flight school) - probably around 16hr30 I think. I reckon 100% can be cracked in less than 24hr total, but I'm looking at just shy of 30 on this save. Which I'll get on with shortly...

Amazing moment when I hijacked a semi carrying a shipment of Minis:

2-star wanted level. Cops are trying to ram me. The ramp at the back fell down when I tried to take one Mini off the trailer (didn't work). One cop floors it and drives onto the trailer! I should have had my phone out at the time to snap a picture, but he backed out before I could grab my phone. Oh well.

(This is why GTA V needs a replay feature like GTA IV on PC!)
