Maybe you remember it by being "The Only GTA where Sunsets make Everything Appear Almost-Black."![]()
Turn the brightness up from the in-game settings =P

Now, I'm about to turn on my San Andreas. Lol.
SlashfanI have 4 copies =P
I have 2. Digital and physical. Got GTA III on my phone. Plan on buying Vice City and the Stories from the PlayStation Store.
SlashfanI have the PSP versions of the Stories games, though I've played VCS on PS2 years ago (that was actually my second GTA game (rented from Blockbuster), after I discovered SA right around the time it came out).
I remember the first time I played it I was at my aunt and uncles house. My 2 cousins were in one of the bedrooms playing it while one of their friends was over, and they were like you must SWEAR TO GOD never to tell anyone you played this.
I later told my uncle (other side of the family) that I played San Andreas and he jokingly was like I'm gonna tell your mom lol. I was like whatever lol. From that point on I've played it wherever I can get my grimey little hands on it![]()
Before the release, no, not officially. What did happen were the maps from the case/strategy guides being leaked to the web.
I was 9 when it came out so it had to be right around then when I first played it. It wasn't out for very long but I knew a lot of people that had it. Up until that point the only games I'd really played were NFS Underground 2, Hot Pursuit 2, and Freekstyle. Then I got a PS2. I came into the scene late and have been ever since. Refused to get a PS3 until almost 2011 simply because I wanted to try and keep all my games on one console as long as I could. Once I got it I got into Burnout, GT4, Corvette, Hulk Ultimate Destruction etc.LMAO! I was still in high school when San Andreas was introduced to me. I didn't know much about GTA at the time. He brought the manual and the strategy guide to school for us to check out. After then, I became hooked. Even though I was 16 at the time, I was able to buy San Andreas. One of the seniors I was cool with worked at GameStop(before they turned into the corrupt bastards you see today.)
Anywho, from then on, I tried playing all the GTAs, but couldn't play the top down versions.
Good fun. Unfortunatley I couldn't find my memory card tonight. Another day. I still have to beat the story again on my PS3 version.Incase your memory of the cheat codes is a little hazy :
PS2 Cheats
Xbox Cheats
PC Cheats
👍
They did. For San Andreas at least. I remember checking rockstar's website prior to release. They revealed it in three stages. First was Los santos and the surrounding area. A week later they unveiled San fierro with las venturas following a week later. I remember being wowed by the sheer size of the map and discussing it at another forum.

Anyways I always remembered seeing them playing 2 player, driving through the mountains on the edge of the desert, shooting at things, but what really caught my eye was when they blew up a gas station. At that point I knew this game was absolute serious business, and they weren't kidding when they said to keep my trap shut. I was stunned and was like whoa you can do that???? The sheer size of map stunned me as well, it seemed endless. You could go anywhere and do anything you want like in real life, and from that moment, realizing that, I was hooked as hell. Easily my favorite game of all time.
Couldn't remember what it was, I remembered it started with "W". This or the tractor was the country method of transportation.![]()
The Walton!
I love this thing. Drove it 90% of the time I was in the country.
I really hope it, or a similar vehicle, returns in GTA V! 👍
Those pissed me off...I hope trucking missions return. I loved doing them in San Andreas.

I thought it was neat it had a black main character. It made it different and I enjoyed much more. Most of the time I juast caused mayhem,
The other thing I remember them doing is playing the mission where you had to fly the plane back to Liberty City...I remember the plane in the clouds and the song "Hold the Line" playing in the background. I never saw the finish of the mission I just remember it took for ever for them to get there.
That same day at some ponit I was playing free roam and the mission were you had to catch Mad Dogg off the building in the back of the truck and get him to the hospital was pissing me off. One of the times I got him and kept crashing and he'd died. I was like how is someone supposed to play this and beat it lol.
One of the times he fell (I thought I had the truck right under him but I had a bad lazy eye so things were off) and his body missed the front of the truck but his head hit the hood and blood splattered everywhere. I was like O_o and started laughing. I was like wow that is sooooo dirty and gruesome but I like it XD. It was another one of the moments when I thought damn they can put that in a game? I will never forget that moment. The truck was the blue one with the hay in the bed and the wood around it. The slow thing. lol
LMAO! I remember that mission. I couldn't do that mission if I was half sleepy. I'd miss Mad Dogg every time. The last time me and my homeboy played, we was doing the thing that if you died, you passed the stick. Plus, you couldn't use cheats. Yeah, let's just say, I got to play most of the game.
In the mission that you had to cut the power off at the dam, you had to skydive into the rings.., I think. I'd just nosedive the plane and say "I don't wanna be here anymore!"
The part where CJ and Woozie are attempting to be secretive about the plan to rob Caligula's casino in that janitor's closet is hilarious to me.
Also, the song "Hollywood Swingin" in the mission you had to steal that sound van, I think it's called "Life's A Beach". Who else sung along? Lol.
I really enjoyed Black Project, and the one were you had to burn down the weed fields before the choppa's came.

To me Truth was one of those characters that if you was listening but wasn't paying attention, you'd be like.. "🤬 he just say?!"
EDIT: I think I'll leave this right here..

Agreed. Also agree with Spacegoat that the tow truck needs to make a return.

I liked them...![]()
It could be so nice, if they'll be back, as a side-mission (that not necessarily needs to be completed)!
