Yeah, "we're just gonna' blow'em all up, for fun

", is probably used pretty often.

I think GTA brings out that sort of nature in people.

Yes, it truly does...

Unleash your inner psycho! Been like that since GTA 1 and 2, but it caught up on the GTA 3 era.

I'll say one thing, it helps relieve stress when you're having one of those days where it seems like you have to deal with every a-hole in the world.

Heh. Whenever I was mad, I'd get on GTA SA and spawn a Hydra and fly over Area 69 getting all 6 stars. Something about shooting cops out of the sky and watching them spiral downwards as the helicopters/planes burn relieved so much anger for some reason.

Hopefully they will be releasing the info about multiplayer and co-op any day now. Its only a few months until release so I expect the info to be released VERY soon.

I hope for some info on that, too, soon. Though, Rockstar will publish info, when they want us to know about it :boggled:.

Kidnapping anyone? For ransom? Like RDR?

What about buying and selling a house? I know we can...but since GTA V has to do with the economy, what if you can choose to sell it when the value is increased etc? Make improvements to houses like roofing and interior work etc.

Those would be nice features but after you've done a few heists you'll have so much money that I can't imagine Rockstar bothering with something that will only give the player relatively small profits and the home improvements will be complicated to implement, most people wouldn't care about it either.

I mean something similar to the system in VCS, where you build your empire. You can chose what the place will be etc. i would like IRL customization but that won't ever happen.

I liked the way VCS worked, I expect GTA V to be better. On gtavoclock they mentioned you could buy things such as helipads for your home but I'm not expecting The Sims.

Hmm still nothing about the co-op or multiplayer modes. It has to be coming any day now. Would like to see some more pics too.

Really looking forward to the the GTA5 launch. Now my brother and I both have the entire week off PAID!! Will be an amazing bro week with lots of good times. :)

Good read. Thanks for posting.

360 will be on 2 discs but you will not have to switch discs. Once disc one is installed, you will be using disc 2 to play the game. I am shocked its only on 2 discs.

“A healthy GTAIV multiplayer game is really hard to come by nowadays. By healthy I mean players play for good clean fun. Every time I join a game it's either modded or hacked. When I create a custom game, some abusive d*ck joins my game and ruins everyone's fun game. I can't just kick him out unless everyone votes. Do something about this in GTAV, Rockstar.” – received via Mouthoff

"Ever since Grand Theft Auto IV was released, we’ve continued to integrate newer and stronger methods of cheat detection and prevention for each of our games. While we have yet to reveal specifically what new anti-cheating measures we have planned for GTAV, rest assured that we’re focused on creating as level a playing field and as fair, fun (and healthy as you say) an experience as possible for everyone. There will always be some people who want to cheat but we are going to do our best to stop it. We have spent a lot of time and effort making an incredible Online experience and proper support is part of that package."-Rockstar

That's even better news and so true. GTA4, RDR, and Max payne mp were very rough at times. Now lets get some dang mp and co-op info! They said this summer so it should be very soon.

Wow I am totally shocked the 360 version will only be on 2 discs. That is insane.

Were you expecting 3 or more?

I was hoenstly expecting in the vicinity of 4-ish. L.A. Noire was 3 IIRC and I figured GTA V would be around there in terms of total content for the map and everything while Noire was for the facial tech stuff.

I agree. I was also expecting at least 3-4 discs for the 360. Only 2 discs is truly shocking especially with the amount of vertical gameplay this will have above and below land. :dunce:

Has anyone heard anything about a PC release? Sorry if it's been asked. Never really been a GTA console guy.
Rockstar said in the Q&A that they aren't commenting on it right now.

Exactly. It's amazing. I wonder how they are compressing it on the discs and if it will have any quality issues.

I am wondering that too. Usually to get that much info to fit onto 2 discs, they have to remove something. Even when SR2 went to SR3 it lost a lot of destructible environments and a lot of co-op features and co-op side games. All to increase the graphics. So hopefully there isn't a major "catch" to however Rockstar fit all this onto 2 discs.

UNLESS there is a mandatory day 1 update that is required to be installed. Similar to what BF3 did with the graphics update. That was 2 gigs mandatory download from online before you could play the game. I wonder if that is what Rockstar is going to do. Otherwise I just don't see how its possible without removing features.

Well they did say the one would be an 8gb install to the HDD from 1 disc and the other would be used to play...maybe a patch would work. Something isn't adding up...

16GB is still a LOT of data, especially once compressed, I've no reason to think that the Xbox version will suffer any issues.

'Deep car customisation' sounds good! They also seem to confident about sticking to the release date too, for some reason I had a feeling it would be getting delayed. Gameplay video coming soon, going to be hard not to watch it!

They have mentioned before that the car customization would be similar to MCLA. Which is an insane amount of customization if true. On the other hand its not that surprising since SR2 and SR3 also have an insane amount of car customization.

However the surprising part was how they said weapons in GTA5 will also have a lot of customization.

Oh really? For some reason I thought this was the first time car customization was even confirmed by Rockstar, looks like I'm a bit behind!

Original artwork post:

On this 4th of July holiday, we stop in on to two Los Santos residents respectively choosing to spend their leisure time indoors gaming and outdoors car "shopping".

This pair of official widescreen artwork releases from Grand Theft Auto V features Franklin's partner-in-crime Lamar caught with his hand in the proverbial cookie jar and a charming family portrait of Michael's progeny, Tracey and Jimmy - the latter of which you may have seen earlier this week gracing our special GTAV edition of Asked and Answered.

👍.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't see "original" in the title. Nothing new, sadly.

Well, to be honest, I must agree, it does look familiar. Actually, it was posted as original artwork on the Rockstar website, so it's my fault... Sorry :boggled:.
