Thanks for the info Slash! 👍 Now I'll have no life when September comes around.
Just watched the trailer then, very much awesomeness.
If the music playing in the vid is the dynamic music then that's pretty good, I was worried how that will turn out. The driving did look a bit weird, but we only saw supercars driving, so maybe that's why it was so grippy. I always preferred driving the slower cars with soft suspension anyway
Just want to take a dirtbike or quad through the mountains, and find that shed on top of the mountain and see what's in there!
Someone else apparently had the same concern & e-mailed Rockstar NY. Looking through the 6 pages of the thread this was posted in, it appears to be a legitimate response.Looking at that gameplay footage again the driving physics look like Midnight Club LA.
I seriously hope the 9F (Audi R8) and F620 shown in the footage were fully upgraded and that stock cars don't handle like a NFS game..
Rockstar assures doubters that gameplay was running on PS3.
In another GTA5 video a long time ago, a truck was pulling something else too. I think maybe a small camper. SR allows you to tow vehicles so I am sure GTA5 will too. So far it looks like Rockstar is taking all the great ideas from all the best sandbox games and putting all of it in GTA5. Cant wait!!Anyone else notice the pickup truck towing the boat? I'm hoping for trucks with huge trailers.

Rockstar did the same thing with GTA4. In fact they do this with all their games. Its marketing. However GTA5 is massive so the list is MUCH longer for this game.Am I wrong in saying that Rockstar have never really revealed this much detail prior to release? I mean if they are hyping it up this early, it must be pretty fantastic.
I will officially have no life in September.
That would be awesome especially if you could go fishing while out in the boat. I think we are asking way too much at this point. That would just be insane if it was possible to back the boat to the water, launch the boat, then go fishing.I am hoping we can launch and return that boat to the trailer, assuming of course the truck/trailer didn't disappear in the mean time.
Or it could work like SR where if your boat is destroyed, it will return to the dock...destroyed. At that point it just needs to be paid to be repaired.I wouldn't be surprised if it was restricted to cars only. Otherwise, there might have to be an impound lot out on the water & near an airfield. Unless the one in the game contains all 3.![]()
Overhaul of gun play to open up new styles of shooting while playing
In addition to left and right aiming and triggering, there is run and shoot
When engaged in combat, character's default speed switches to combat jog for improved mobility
Each character's personality is reflected in their movements and use of weapons: Trevor's aggressiveness, Franklin's swagger and Michael's efficiency
Gun play still GTA-based at core, but have used other studios to bring aspects of RDR and MP3 over
Overhaul of aiming system to make game more immersive, split into 3 modes with hard lock removed: assisted, traditional and free aim
Car can be used as cover by getting out and staying low to avoid exposure
Wide range of weapon modifications available in Ammunation such as clips, grips, tints and other attachments
Some missions request you to customise vehicles in a certain way, the rest is up for experimentation
Vehicle customisation taken a lot further than in GTA SA
Pay & Spray not in game - replaced by Los Santos Customs stores that are located throughout the map
More than 1000 vehicle modifications available, both cosmetic and performance
You can take a photo of your finished vehicle and upload it to Social Club
Is it weird that I've been scoping out all the junky cars to customize and have little interest in any of the nice ones? Like that step-side farm truck in the gameplay trailer. I can't wait to customize that beast.
Screenshots are probably from the PC.Those images surely can't be from the PlayStation version?!
Not weird at all. I do it ALL the time in other sandbox games that have car customization. I love seeing the body kits and different features or mods available on the cars. Some have really crazy and unexpected features. So I am really looking forward to the customization in GTA5. Especially for the characters, the vehicles, AND the weapons. I will be spending a lot of time in the country creating offroad mayhem. Is it weird that I've been scoping out all the junky cars to customize and have little interest in any of the nice ones? I'm slightly disappointed Anmmunation doesn't have the red/white/blue awning over it anymore.
Those pictures show that the game has to be running on a PC. The PS3, or any console for that matter (at the moment) can't possibly have such great textures, particle effects, and shadows, all at the same time.
I liked the one in Los Santos that had the giant revolver merged into the building.
Or maybe after we purchase properties or businesses we can upgrade their appearance. Its possible in other games so you never know.Did you even watch the gameplay video?
That one was cool. But the signature of the place was that awning and I miss it :/
Maybe some buildings will have it. That could be a warehouse for all we know.
Did you even watch the gameplay video?
Have to agree. None-the-less, the gameplay still is something to behold, even if the screenshots are textured better for whatever reason, be it pc, editing, etc.Of course I did. The pictures don't look quite the same as the game play shown.
