I find it kind of annoying that you cant buy the Futo nor the Sultan online :\.. Also Rockstar does say you will be able to rank up cash much quicker then SP.

IIRC, though, the single player trailer showed the ability to buy new safe houses & that's where everyone got the misconception.

What's with the obsession from everyone for this Futo?

I adore import/tuner cars and the Futo is the only in-game-counterpart for one that I'm missing.

EDIT: FastTech has a much better answer.

It's lightweight, front-engined, RWD car with enough power to make it fun to drive. Can also be modified in a variety of ways (Rally, Street, Drift and Time attack too :))

It reminds people of the Toyota Corolla AE86, which has a cult following thanks to the street racing anime show, Initial D.

Fun fact: The name "FUTO" comes from "dorifuto," the Japanese word for drifting. If only we had proper drifting that didn't involve using cheats. :(

But Futo in Japanese means Fat

I will say I REALLY wish there was a delivery company that allowed you to use the tractor trailers like in San Andreas. Driving the big rigs feels like I'm playing 18 Wheels of Steal. VERY Satisfying.
Not sure if I misunderstood your reply but you CAN disconnect and reconnect tractor trailers. As long as it does not have a hitch "blocker" you can back up to it and pick it up. Back up to the trailer then I think hold right on the D pad to pick it up and drop it. Just like the towing missions. You can also do this with regular pickup trucks that have a hitch and ball on the back.

I didn't play much of GTA5 at all last week. Took a break from it to prepare for GTA online and I was playing other games. So far I have still been avoiding all GTA online spoilers. Cant wait for tomorrow!! Too bad I wont be able to check it out until after work. Hopefully the bugs are worked out by then and its fully functional. We all know how unstable the first day can be for mp games.

Well that's certainly interesting. I found out about the naming from the GTA IV wiki. Apparently the car designer in IV was a fan of drifting and created the FUTO as a result. There was also an occasional spawn in GTA IV (And in V as well, as far as I know) where one would show up with white as the primary color, with black as the secondary color. Looks like Mr. Fujiwara moved to America.

GTA Online will be a mess tomorrow for sure. The usual story of server overload, timeouts, disconnections etc.

As with all multiplayer games that have a massive amount of people trying to get on at once on launch day.

Yup. Happens with EVERY mp game at launch. I am just hoping the online issues are at least somewhat stable by the time I get out of work tomorrow night. I at least want to be able to cruise around with friends together.

Another fun fact: You can rearrange the letters in FUTO to spell TOFU (which is what the main character, Takumi Fujiwara, delivers in his AE86) :)
Personally I prefer the Levin over the Trueno, but to each their own.

You think?

Personally, I found that it understeers like mad and, as a result, plows through corners like a boat. Granted, I didn't bother with upgrading it, but I've never again touched one of the Futos my game keeps throwing at me...

Yep, once you activate the mission with Maude the guys will always spawn even if you don't still have the email. Just makes finding them harder unless you cheat and look on the net.

I wouldn't call it cheating, I'd call it refreshing your memory mainly due to already starting the mission but lost the emails.

Just an FYI, you don't need to trigger anything for the Maude missions, you just have to know where the guy, that you left off, is. He doesn't move from there. This is where knowing where he is becomes very important, unless you look for reference, kiss them goodbye.

Those hillbillies are really beginning to piss me off.
I was just minding my own business plowing through some trails in my Seminole when I heard "Hey you! Speak English! He's South American! Get 'im!" I immediately stopped and got out of the Seminole and proceeded to minigun them to death. I then got back in my car and sped off.

For those who have done the Epsilon(spelling?) missions how'd you guys get through that damn dessert? I always leave the area and have to start over. And 5 miles? Do you have to run or walk or can you drive a car? I once had 3 miles and then I got tazed and my clothes taken.

I went to the larger desert airfield (not Trevor's arms trafficking one) and simply ran laps around the runways on foot. I also think it specifies you have to wander through the desert meaning driving is a no-no.

Can anyone answer me a question that may already have been asked (I'm not going to go through 200-odd pages to find out). Has anyone been able to purchase food from the street vendors?
