I'm having some kind of bug, I go to chose my online character, but the cloud servers are down for me, thats fine I expected that, so I cancel and go back into single player, it then switches me from Trevor (Who I was before) to Michale and holding down on the D-Pad doesn't bring up character switch menu any more.

I have to re-load my save in order to switch.

Anyone else getting this?
 
Is there a changelog for the update? As well as online added I've noticed a few tweaks, 'last 5 hours' in the BAWSAQ and a couple of changes with LCS, you get a bigger display of the car model and the performance bars have splits in them, not one long bar.

Yep, exact same thing.
 
Seeing how people are struggling with the first online bugs I think I'll wait a couple more days untill things have settled.
 
I got the update about two hours ago, but I still haven't been able to connect... Well, Rockstars servers are most likely 500% overloaded at the moment, so no wonder. :p
 
We all knew this was not going to be a smooth ride today. Hopefully its worked out by the time I get on tonight. If not then hopefully by the weekend. Still trying to avoid mp spoilers but I do want to know when or if this starts working properly.
 
Is the single player affected at all by the overloaded servers, or can everyone can download the update OK, and only hit troubles when entering the online part?

It's fine in single player. I don't see how that would be affected...
 
I think something like the galleries and BAWSAQ could be affected. I don't know if they are, and neither am I sure if it's considered "singleplayer-things".

You're locked to Michael with no switch available.
Good thing it wasn't just me... It's possible to get "around" that though.

The update is hosted by Sony so that is fine, as is single player but as already mentioned there is an issue if you try to connect online, fail and go back to single player. You're locked to Michael with no switch available.

I think everything should be fine by the weekend. R* people are most likely doing overtime for the next couple days.
 
Just finished the main story line, fantastic campaign (sad that some idiot spoiled the ending for me but didn't matter at the end).

Will start a 2nd playthrough, will see how online goes although doubt my internet can handle it.

I know I am in a very small minority but Trevor hasn't warmed up to me so I can't say I like him as a character.
 
So did v1.01 change or update anything offline? I don't remember the name of the car and the car type appearing when you enter Los Santos Customs before the update. Anything else changed?
 
There were definitely some offline tweaks but finding them all is tricky. You can look on the GTA forums but as usual most of the idiots there just list things they made up. Hopefully R* will add a changelog at some point.
 
Some people there claim there are changes in the physics, which I strongly doubt. Cars still feel the same imo.

I have noticed car stats in LSC have changed too, with split-up bars instead of long bars.
 
Ha, leave it to Rockstar to make the crazy character a Canadian. Good ole Trevor.

I didn't play long after the update but I also felt no changes. The only other thing I've noticed is on the BAWSAQ instead of just one 'high' price you have '5 hour high' and '5 hour low'.

I believe they may have changed the reward price for the random event robbery's, I'm playing on my 2nd save and still have loads to do, just done a couple and picked up $2,000 instead of $500 and was reward $200 instead of just $50.

Reward and robbery payouts were like that before the update. The higher payouts haven't happened as often in my experience.

Ah ok, my mistake, I didn't pay much attention to them on my first play through after the first couple I did I assumed they were all $500 / $50 reward.
