I'm dipping into 1'53s at Monza, and using c.3 litres per lap in the Ferrari.

I hit a :52.9xx on a couple occasions. I'm assuming that's still not up to par with what we'll see from snow, etc.

BOP update:

ASTON - Unchanged
CORVETTE - Unchanged
FERRARI - Unchanged
FORD +10hp, now 424hp
LOTUS -10kg, now 1340kg

Hmm. I have done some preseason testing on Monza, and I did do mid-52's there in the Aston, but that was with 10hp more. My Corvette testing time was a 52.8, so that doesn't look too bad for speed from you. Not that I'm the benchmark here for sheer speed. Was it Kartman who said he did 51's...? (also with more hp though, I think)

Yeah, that's about how fast I'll be going, mostly low to mid 53's. The tune I have on the car pretty much works for all the tracks, so I don't have to really mess with it other than gearing. I should be ready to go for Saturday.

Nice 👍

Just pointed out it's "GTE-PRO Driver Championship" and "GTE-AM Drivers Championship".

Also how do you work makes standings out? :odd:

Oh, so there were 2 AM drivers in the top 5? So P4 in PRO for me? That works...

I assume absolutely nothing will be done about the issues I PM'd about?

I'm dipping into the 1'53s at Monza, those gravel traps are causing me to back off too much. At least the fastest laps are in the 1'52s, so I might have a chance of a decent finish if I can catch the slipstream. The Ferrari uses about 3 litres per lap, and the tyres should last about 18-20 laps. I'd say the race could be about 65 laps long, and some of us will get lapped.

Couple of typos remaining in the manufacturers championship, Fox. "Manufacturers" is missing the last r, and we have "Cheverolet" and "Ferarri" taking part. ;)

I think we'll manage no more than 62 laps at Monza (probably a little less, since I used a 1:53.0 for every lap to work it out, and then took off pitstop time).

Typo's sorted. Cheers Joe

Thanks Fox.

DK, cautioned for jumping start and driving, couple of concerned drivers in this field about you, cool down mate ;)

1:53.1 is my best at Monza. Are we having weather change there? That's the version I tested at, which has less grip than the other Monza.

Yep, weather change at 4.

I very much doubt that this is true. Unless it rains, of course... :sly:

It seems to be the case at other tracks with a weather version. For example, when we had an IndyCar pre-season race at Spa, you couldn't go as fast through Eau Rouge/Raidillon without running wide (you had to lift, whereas it was flat out on the non-weather version), and braking points were slightly different.

I'll run some laps at the non-weather version and see if I can hit a 1:52 there. I know I can't on the weather version (maybe a 1:52.9 on a perfect lap).

I always test at the weather change track, just because the lighting is better.

1:52.7

The best lap I did in the session there was a .5 but I think I used too much curb at the 2nd chicane.

My first timed lap (cold tyres + full tank) was a 1:53.21, which is only marginally slower than my best overall lap on the weather change track. The biggest difference I noticed was that I could brake later for the first chicane.

Guys, I'm unsure whether I can show up on Saturday. My dad's considering camping at the Silverstone Circuit, so that would knock me out of contention.
