Yeah orange chrome that was me ya half wit, bet your great with the Christmas thank you letters.

Me fastest in practie by 3 tenths. Yay :D. Quali at quarter to.

Quali beginning, race start 8.

Screwed up my qualy run. :ouch:

Ive had no internet all day so i will not be attending tonight

First, golfer tried to take me out twice and he was blatantly cutting the chicanes every lap.

Second, we went way past 2 hours, race should have been called at 62 laps. We were past the 2 hour mark before we started the 62nd lap.

Third, I guess I was the only one that started the race on intermediates and had to pit on lap 7 to shed them as they were toast. That totally screwed my strategy and it forced me to stop on lap 31, and then try to make it to the end. I would have made it if the race was called at the right time. In any case, after my car pit after running out my controller and wheel got crossed up and I couldn't drive, so I quit.

Poor Furi, it's a bloody shame, bless him.

My damned pluckiest drive in a long time. Battled from an early crash to the front, stayed with leaders despite having nearly done double tyres os them, but faded late on. Proud of the little Lotus though...

He needs a talking to if he's going to continue racing with us.

Agreed, was talking to him after the race. He took me out. I was driving out my skin!

Furi, you do realise there are now 5 Ferrari 458's in the field.

Was it not four cars per manufacturer?

Yeah, but we didn't have 4 Ferrari's tonight did we?

After spending most of Saturday in bed with a fever, decided to give it a try anyway and popped an Aspirin, which got me in shape enough for a drive.

Start was ok, and even the 35% surface water in the beginning didn't bother me that much (I had changed in the last second from wets to slicks, because the rain had stopped), only to make a mistake going into the first Lesmo, because I looked in the mirror instead of at my braking point, and therefore went wide. Joined again in last place, 13 seconds behind.

First stint developed into a nice fight with Yeratel for pretty much the whole duration. Yeratel in the Ferrari having the advantage on braking and in corners, and me more on the straights. I didn't really know who of us was really faster, because it was clear none of us would be able to break away. We were 5th and 6th and that point, the gap to the leaders staying the same all the time. Yera then once missed his braking point into the 1st chicane and that cost him a couple of seconds, which was enough to get him out of my slipstream. We both pitted a couple of laps apart, but the gap stayed.

1600 had taken the lead on what I thought was a 1-stopper, but I had missed the fact that he had pitted earlier. So, when he pitted at 2:01 on the race timer I thought it was going to be close for him. After that, I managed to bring down the 14 second gap of the leaders with a string of 52's until they started pitting one by one. I then also went into the pits, but took on a little too much fuel, which, additionally to the Aston needing more fuel to begin with, dropped me back to the same 14 seconds (estimate, because 1600 was in the lead) again. Furi seemed to have lost some time somewhere though, because he was nowhere to be seen. I managed to get a little closer, but not much (being pushed by Yeratel being not far behind), and when 1600 ran out of fuel 2 laps from the end, I got up in 3rd. Finished about 9(?) seconds behind.

Quite happy, considering I should have been in bed. :D

By the way, are we doing Fuji GT or F next week?

I assume I don't get any points even though the OP doesn't say anything about DNF's?

Actually I think you will. I'm just waiting for conformation from Furi.

As you were running at the 2hr mark, you'll be placed back a lap. You are classified P7 (I think) you are ahead of Golfer but behind Fox.

I'm sorry I couldn't attend, guys. Although my Dad's house has (in theory) a broadband connection, my Dad's Jesus-freak (honest to whatever gods may exist, he's some sort of born-again Christian) landlord either hid the modem, lost it or hid it in a locked drawer. It's highly likely I would have been a mobile chicane, though.

01 Smuffy / Ferrari / 63 Laps
02 JoeOfTheFire / Ford / +6.0
03 Snowcrash / Aston / +8.3
04 Yeratel / Ferrari / +17.4

06 FlyingFox / Aston / +1 Lap

08 Golfer / Ferrari +4 Laps

Thankfully the next two races don't have weather to throw a curveball into my race. I am a racer, I just drive. I am not a crew chief. I need a crew chief. :p

That's weird arithmetics. Both Smuffy and me have a win and a 3rd, but he's ahead in the Pro Cup, because there was an Amateur-driver (from WRS Div 1 Gold ;)) between me and him in the first race. Go figure. :odd:

Well, overall is what counts. Ferrari should have the edge though for the rest of the tracks.

Questions still open:
- Which Fuji course will be used on Saturday?
- Spec changes...?

The one without the chicane, and no changes for Fuji.
