That's weird arithmetics. Both Smuffy and me have a win and a 3rd, but he's ahead in the Pro Cup, because there was an Amateur-driver (from WRS Div 1 Gold ;)) between me and him in the first race. Go figure. :odd:

You have a 3rd and 1st in class (15+25= 40)
Smuffy has a 1st and 2nd in class (25+18= 43)

Class positions have class points not from the overall table.

70-75 laps at Fuji?

Anyone test yet? Managed a best of 1:39.1xx in a 10 lap stint. Not sure how that stacks up.

I'll give it a go tonight and post my time.

I wonder, if we're going to see more attempts at 1-stop races now that the real fuel-burners are through. I guess it depends, if the tyres stay good for long enough or fall off a cliff towards the 1-hour mark...

Edit: Did a test run, and either you are very much on the pace or the Aston is beginning to show its problems here. Did a 39.6, maybe 39.4 with best sector times possible. I doubt there's much more in it for me. The Aston just doesn't have enough grip through the long sweeping turns. The Evora will kill everything here with the lower weight.

Also the front tyres look like they will be a problem.

Ran some laps tonight. I really do like Fuji. Had many a great race here in the Prologue days.

The fastest lap in my first 10 laps was a 1:39.1 also. Brought that down to a 38.8 and was on for a 38.6 before I got disconnected. I'm waiting to see what the Ferraris and Evoras come up with though :scared:

I am surprised that the Lotus was even competitive at Monza. Fuji is Lotus best track I reckon. No BoP differences this week.

Good to know on the times. I'm still using my original suspension setup with only gear changes where appropriate. Love the tune I have, works pretty much anywhere.

I did a few laps earlier and managed a best of 39.8, did a few pit-stops as the pit in is a bit difficult

For pit in and exit, please use the full white lines.

Needless to say I'm nowhere near you lot

Actually, you guys shouldn't have any problems running that layout. I ran a WEC race a few weeks ago on that same layout and there weren't too many problems. Plus you have more runoff area at the braking area where the chicane sits on the GT version than on the F version.

I never really liked racing at Fuji in GT5, especially those last 5 corners with their deceptive racing line.

You have to take them wider than it looks. Late apexing is the name of the game.

And then someone dives in to block your line... :D

We move to Japan and to the picturesque Fuji Circuit for round 3 of the GTE Championship.
This is also the first race of the Pacific section of the Championship on this the GT layout of the circuit.
Will Ford or Lotus get their first win here?
Only time will tell.

RACE START PROCEDURE.

1 Pace lap @ 70mph / 112kph. Single file formation.

At the exit of the final corner, form up double file for the start. ODD numbers on the right, EVEN on the left.

Green flag from whenever the leader crosses the line - the whole field can begin racing. 2hr timer begins from there.

CAUTION PROCEDURE

In case of a MULTI-CAR accident (3-4 vehicles upwards) , a caution may be called over mic or by typing "caution" in chat - all drivers must do this before I confirm the caution over mic.

Race back to the next sector, from there the leader slows to 70mph and the field slow and form up single file behind. Green flag is single file, from the START/FINISH line.

Sector 1 - Just after turn 2
Sector 2 - Just after turn 6
Sector 3 - Start/Finish Line

You do know S1 finishes before T2 and S2 finishes before T6, right?

And we have no chicane ;)

Procedural question about full course yellow: When it's called, you slow at the next sector, and then yellow is on for how long exactly? End of that lap + 1, right? Otherwise the damaged cars won't be able to catch up again...?

Alright. The OP said two different specs, so I wanted to clarify.

According to the latest spec, it should be 424. As far as I followed this thread, that hasn't been changed since.

Thanks snow. After about 10 laps, I'm at a 1.39.7 running 424 with no abs
