Haha Lefty, after finishing the Sebastien Loeb challenge in Gold. I am hoping to see how fast other drivers are in these types of events.

To staff,

Will we see any Go-Karting events in the near future? Muahahaha :P

Eiger wasn't that hard for some odd reason, but I did manage to pass him 3/4th's in. I felt bad though :dopey:

A quick question everyone this question has been asked plenty of times before but i am obliged to ask it again.
I have created my GTP_username PSN during the last qualifier and never posted my laptime since i was still enjoying grinding and discovering the game :)
I am still eager to qualify myself into a division but the question is since i created my new PSN account i have no exp there so what special event would you suggest me to attend in order to unlock AMG academy and give it a try?
i have asked the question again since special events closes from time to time
thank you and looking forward to qualify

I would suggestion that you just run the special events that you can or run the licenses until you hit level 11 I believe to unlock the AMG Academy Intermediate. But don't wait till the last minute, try to start grinding so you can start qualifying and us in WRS. Good Luck 👍

Hi All
Juat a quick question, am I right in thinking if I watch my replay and see a small puff of dust that might be dust from clipping the edge of the grass that the replay will not be any good
Thanks In Advance

Just follow the guidelines that are posted in the qualifier. If you believe that your lap is dirty, your best bet is to trash it and start over again.👍

I don't know if you are aware, but you are allowed to go onto the grass, dirt, etc. You need to always have 2 wheels in a verical line with the track (which includes the curbs usually) and you can't hit any walls.

So if only 2 wheels go on the grass and raise some dust then the lap will still be fine.

Quick question that has me pondering. For the qualifier it says to do sector 2 & 3. So that implies you do them separately (because you have to) then use a calculator to add the splits for a final time. Is this correct?

Yes you are correct.

In the opening post of the qualifier there is a link to a time calculator web site you can also use.

Have fun and good luck.

This can be answered by reading the OP. But here is the breakdown from EDK.

"Explanation of the Division System:

The GTP_WRS (Weekly Race Series https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=117) will contain multiple divisions, with division 1 being the highest division. Each division will be subdivided in a gold, silver and bronze category.

Based on the time run in the qualifying race, a player is placed in the corresponding division and category. This way players can compare themselves to other players with a similar level of play, without having to feel to be participating just to fill up the results.

Since the result of the qualifying race is only a random indication, players might be promoted when the result of the qualifying doesn't display the actual level of play of the driver or in case the driver shows an apparent improvement in level of play.
Only the Racing Admins will decide if a player is eligible for a promotion, on the condition that the player takes part on a regular basis and shows to be able to maintain that higher level of play for multiple weeks."

Ah thanks and sorry for i haven't read the full list of rules. I will do soon. Thanks again.

Thanks for the replies
This is what I was getting at in my original post, Was not to sure about the two wheels being vertical with the track and the other two being on the grass
:)
Just a shame I've now scrapped my fastest 3 laps :dunce:
Once again thanks
All the best to you and yours

Seeing as we cannot post times anywhere, how do you base who gets in and who doesn't? Is it a %? As of now, I've only got silver medals. Would it be safe to assume that I shouldn't even bother submitting until I'm gold? Just looking for some kind of bar..

The WRS admin team has access to all of the times, so assignment is done based on relative performance.

The goal of the qualifier is to ensure that you are placed in a division where you will be competing against racers with similar skills. A better way to approach it would be to invest a representative amount of time in the qualifier (some spent ten hours or more running it; others spent no more than a half hour). Once you have a run that you are personally satisfied with (and have saved a replay), submit your time.

I spent an hour on each sector and feel like I'm slow. I stopped improving so I submitted. Am I allowed to do this weeks TT or do I have to have my division?

Congrats to Maz for taking the overall P1 in the Registry Qualifier!

Is it possible to get demoted a division or sub-division? I remember seeing people in prologue being promoted but I can't remember people being demoted. I suppose that would be because they wouldn't grab attention.

Don't worry about the medals in the game, just post your time. If you're unsure where you'll end up try one of the pervious wrs races and see where you land. That should give you a good indication of where you are likely to be ranked.

Submitted the qualifier. Yay. Instructions say that I can run any event now (still time left to try to get in on week 4 race). Does it mean that the race results I participate in will be updated only once my qualifier is processed (say in two weeks)? Any point in posting splits before the qualifier is processed? I take it the Fetchbot won't know about me until then...

I have the same question! If my user hasn't been added to the registry then surely Fetchbot won't recognise me.

Also, can I confirm that people are posting their times in the weekly combo thread purely for conversation, and that the actual results table is only being updated by messages to the Fetchbot itself?

I think I'm just gonna wait for the Week 5 Combo now :)

If you put down your splits, Fetchbot will automatically record them in the leaderboard.
