I have to hand it to Yeratel. He had the same breaking points as i did on monza and used it to judge me in over takes in chacanes! He responded well to my breaking allowing me to race my race.Or should I say our race. You can trust him in tight races you guys. Good job Yeratel. Hope You read this.

Thank you for the compliment. I didn't have much chance, given the 30 HP handicap. Only way would have been to try and brake test you on last lap, which wouldn't have been very nice...
That said, I always make an effort to race clean. You can count on that.

Looked at the replay a second time , u were still on track. was a difficult spot.GrayFox cought barrier.That was your bump on right.The next was Magz in his turn on left.Real messy.But i incourage u Fresh 2 take a look at replay if u hav it and for personal skill studies c what u could hav done. its what i do after a race.

I saw the replay. I said that Grayfox- who was the EVO, got me on the right and that pushed me to the left which gave me and whoever was on my left damage. He was obviously in a blind spot, and I didn't have room to the left or else I would have made room for him. I wasn't trying to force him to the right any. The only thing I could have done was look to the right. But I didn't even think Fox was there.
 
If I don't make the grid here, Its because I'm having troubles getting home before 6pm PST :nervous:

There's always open spots Mac K! Just shoot a friend request to GTPFIA and come into the lounge on race day!

You are in group 3 Owens, so don't worry about it ;)
 
Oh it looked to me like since there are more than 16 spots available that there were groups. So the first 16 are group one, the second 16 are group two and so on.

can we get point standings too? i forgot to make a spread sheet of them this week.
 
Going to try and get my IS-F tune working. Should be able to do 33's at Nurb. I'm doing 34's :( but still looking forward to tonight.

Good to see you studied the replay and realized what had happend.But did you see your other options from your review? (did that make me sound like a teacher?)

U had to break early since the space accupied by the pack of cars in front of you gives u less room to work with for breaking ware u normaly break.

4 cars blocked your path from end to end at chacane,no room for u.

Best course of action was to follow the cars on left entering chacane.In other word "Flow like water my friend, go with the flow."

This is what i had hoped u saw.What you could have done rather than what you couldn't.

By the way Seth, what view point do you use when driving? Is it the bumper view or hood view?
This will help me in trying to make clean passes if i come accross you in future races.

(One more thing.Be prepaired for a similar sanarion that played out for you at Monza to play out in our next race on 2nd race since the first turn is to the right, with a declining turn thats reduces grip.)

I braked in time. I don't know what you saw on your replay, but what I saw during the race was a bunch of cars jumbled up at turn 1. I wasn't bumping anyone on the rear, I was hit on the right, pushed to the left, and bumped whoever was there. It was a chain reaction. I've raced enough online races to know which turns cause problems. Regardless of which view I use when someone is to your right and you have someone on your left, you're the man in the middle. The only thing you can do is hope that you have space enough to maneuver. The cars on my side were going faster than me, so they obviously caught me even though they were behind me. The fact they were by my side is evidence of this. Maybe you can talk to them as well, tell them to watch their mirrors. You said I should have went left, there was someone on my left, so how can I do that? If I would have went left being slower down the straights, I would have been blocking. So I held my line, let the faster cars go around me. Why are we even talking about this? See you at the races.

BTW what cam do you use Tao? I run myself with bumper cam, with the annoiance that I can easily check rear view, but not so easily check my side views, given that I only have 2 buttons on my wheel.

Writing this post, I just decided to change the button config, given that my other button on the wheel was used for the lights.

Go to the GTPFIA room. We have been just meeting there for practice.

My screen was all messed up at the startup with the countdown stuck at 17 sec and the option bar down the bottom.. !
 
Well got disconnected yet again! Someone please grab a picture of the finishing order for me.
 
Much better showing this outing. Was able to get pole on race 1. We paced around and I held the field till about ten feet from finish line and off we went. The Evo's grunt and AWD allowed me to get away from the battle shaping up in second. Which slowed these guys down and allowed me to pull my lead. Was able to pace myself at around 33.0/33.1 most of the race. With zero errors I captured the win. Race two started last. Weaseled my way through traffic and into fourth chasing a fellow Evo IX and was able to work past him. Now my sites are on Taolung. Knowing he had straight line speed. I had to be good in the turns. Was able to close the gap and captured second from him on an exit thanks to AWD. Now to attempt running down Tissimo. Knew this wasn't going to be easy as he is fast and consistent in anything he drives. With some luck and skill I was able to pull into his draft. Took me a few laps to secure the pass. Get the pass and my phone rings and door bell goes off. Thankfully I have kids and they answered door. Friend watched the last few laps. Which caused me some bobbles till lap 15 when I knew it was time to be seriously perfect or Tiss would make me regret it. Tiss made a mistake and relaxed me in last half of last lap. However he closed that up in the chicane and made me a wee bit nervous again. Grabbed the second win. What a great day. Haven't done anything this cool in a loooong time!


I think Joe drives the other Evo IX. We need to have a tuning session. I'll help you get that car rotating. ;)
 
My tune is way off for the IS-F. Maybe I should have stayed with the CR-Z :ouch: I just like Toyota and figured the IS-F would be good to run with it's downforce. I can't get tuning down for this car though. I suck at tuning, oh well.

I use the hood view. it gives me a slight view to either left or right and im able to see rear,left and right views by tapping the Dpad on my stering wheel.I just take one glance or two just before a corner to decide my move.
its what helped us make it through Monza without hitting each other.That and our superb driving skills!:sly:

Fighter pilots call it situation awarness.

Im so proud of you Owens:tup: I couldn't turn with you,tissmo and Joe.But found a solution out of that race.Thanks for bettering me:idea:
 
Jav, do i still get points for first race.The one i lost connection on? If so how much?
