I braked in time. I don't know what you saw on your replay, but what I saw during the race was a bunch of cars jumbled up at turn 1. I wasn't bumping anyone on the rear, I was hit on the right, pushed to the left, and bumped whoever was there. It was a chain reaction. I've raced enough online races to know which turns cause problems. Regardless of which view I use when someone is to your right and you have someone on your left, you're the man in the middle. The only thing you can do is hope that you have space enough to maneuver. The cars on my side were going faster than me, so they obviously caught me even though they were behind me. The fact they were by my side is evidence of this. Maybe you can talk to them as well, tell them to watch their mirrors. You said I should have went left, there was someone on my left, so how can I do that? If I would have went left being slower down the straights, I would have been blocking. So I held my line, let the faster cars go around me. Why are we even talking about this? See you at the races.

Stop talking to me, please. Were wasting our time with this conversation. I use cockpit and bumper view depending on the track or turn. Some turns you can take tighter with cockpit view, then bumper view allows you to see clearer. I hope that answers your questions.

Much better showing this outing. Was able to get pole on race 1. We paced around and I held the field till about ten feet from finish line and off we went. The Evo's grunt and AWD allowed me to get away from the battle shaping up in second. Which slowed these guys down and allowed me to pull my lead. Was able to pace myself at around 33.0/33.1 most of the race. With zero errors I captured the win. Race two started last. Weaseled my way through traffic and into fourth chasing a fellow Evo IX and was able to work past him. Now my sites are on Taolung. Knowing he had straight line speed. I had to be good in the turns. Was able to close the gap and captured second from him on an exit thanks to AWD. Now to attempt running down Tissimo. Knew this wasn't going to be easy as he is fast and consistent in anything he drives. With some luck and skill I was able to pull into his draft. Took me a few laps to secure the pass. Get the pass and my phone rings and door bell goes off. Thankfully I have kids and they answered door. Friend watched the last few laps. Which caused me some bobbles till lap 15 when I knew it was time to be seriously perfect or Tiss would make me regret it. Tiss made a mistake and relaxed me in last half of last lap. However he closed that up in the chicane and made me a wee bit nervous again. Grabbed the second win. What a great day. Haven't done anything this cool in a loooong time!


I think Joe drives the other Evo IX. We need to have a tuning session. I'll help you get that car rotating.

Was a good race.. not much I could do driving 110% just to give a glimmer of hope to do a crazy late brake maneuver at the chicane.. but Not sure it would of been enough, even If I did get around, without some unfair blocking going to the line. My car just doesn't have the acceleration or top speed of the others. But a touch to much rotation lost me 5 car lengths and it was over from there.. only gaining 1-2 car lenghs in the draft and another 2-3 at the chicane only put me on your bumper and having slower acceleration, barring from a mistake on your part, there was no way.

none of the FR cars can keep pace with the AWDs. Especially on the technical tracks. They have too much exit grip.

Guys can someone please post the results from last night races? Stupid game wouldn't let me get them for the first race and kicked me on the 2nd race. I will look into the cars once more, I can say the RWD cars won't get any more but the AWDs will get further restrictions.

i feel the same way in regards to the S2000 if it does not get a hp boost i also will have to resign, not just going to drive around.I'm more then a second a lap slower on every track i've tested

I actually took some rotation out of the car before the race until I was more familiar with how that chassis works, but I feel yea in the race I was having a rotate issue on a couple of the turns

32s XD You have to push that car through all the corners as quick as it allows. Its a great TT car especially on the technical tracks like Nurb GP, but because it lacks so much in the straights, its tough to get it to race well.

That being said, it would be too beastly with any more power.

Your right its a 50/50 track.Good choice track for touring cars. Worked with TnT on Silvia rm.It can handle turns.I'm betting you can keep up with 4wd there.Looking 4wrd to next week.

AWD is definitely better on corner exits, and I think the Impreza TC has the best brakes but I'm just losing too much time on the straights to race people. I end up making stupid passing attempts at people in unsafe spots just to be competitive. I really hope I don't lose any more power or I'm hopeless, still might have decent lap times, but no hope in a race. Also sorry to anyone for ruining your race, I'm usually coming from a long way back in the braking zones.

let me tell you Veloci the FR's S2000 has no advantage anywhere, without the draft I'm down over 1.2 sec. everywhere i have tested it's just slower then the AWD's. the only equal is the brakes which work great!!! see the cups half full

Ok, time to chime in.
I apologise to you all for quiting a little over a week ago. Getting hit 3 times in the rear and getting damage sucks. When that happens, my concentration goes and my driving goes.
I would like to ask the faster drivers to have a bit more patients. Pass at the proper moments. Quit riding the tails of other peoples cars when it comes to breaking for the corners. We all have different breaking points. Damage really sucks when you get hit from behind when breaking.
Yes the ds3 controler is slower than the wheel. I've come to accept it and so do the ones driving with the wheel.
Some of us don't have the money to by wheels, so we're stuck driving with the controler. Untill I can afford $130.00 for a wheel, please have some patients.
I don't have good tuning skills and I'm learning. 👍
No more being pushed or bumped around. I'm going to do my best to keep my driving line and I'll fight to hold it. If that means rubbing a bit of paint to hold it, I will.
If my race gets messed up from now on, it will be my fault. 👍

The s2k is a horrible car...I tried it out one time during the testing for this series and after a few laps parked it and never looked at it again lol....

I'll be bringing my wifes integra to the next race...I got a better paying 2nd job at night, so I don't have to work as much

Yeah, I try my best but I can't seem to get the IS to stick the turns how I want it to. It just doesn't turn in enough without oversteer or slowing way down. I may invest in a wheel, I know it gives better steering input and feel from experience with a friends'.

I have a trustmaster entry level wheel here but it sucks bad, there is a crazy amount of slip-angle difference. This wheel has me second guessing going the wheel route, I hope its just that this wheel sucks, and the G27 is way more accurate, but I won't know until I fork out the cash.

What do you guys with the wheels think? Is it my cheap wheel that's the problem, or do all you guys with wheels have a big to minor slip-angle difference that you compensate for?

Get a wheel; its totally worth the investment, especially with how much you play. (I'm assuming you play often since you are in so many series) It won't make you much faster than you are right now, but it will definitely increase the fun level when you do play. I think that your cheapo wheel is the problem since it has only the 200* steering as opposed to the 900* wheels now. Once you get used to the wheel, you will never want to go back to the controller; it just feels dead.

Anyone spending time on GT5 with pad should be shot lol.. No but wheel is the way to go. I know what a crap wheel feels like, might as well be on a pad. With a good wheel and fully secure in place you're no longer playing a game you're racing

You just sold me, I'm picking 1 up next month and then ill grab my rig the following.
I see that stat 200* vs 900*, I don't know what that means?, but I trust that is what the problem is.
