GTPlanet Awards 2018: The Winners!

Thanks very much for the award and congratulations to all the winners and nominees. This is a great forum and a very friendly place in general. Seeing my name come up in the nominations really made me feel part of the community.

I must have been on the fun table at the awards ceremony because I don't remember a thing.

Member of the year but the majority of a different batch of voters want me thrown to the dogs...
If it was my dogs, I'm not sure who'd enjoy it more: you or them.

Thank you. Thank you very much, everybody. Sorry to keep you waiting. Complicated business. Complicated. Thank you very much.
I've just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us. It's about us. On our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign.
I mean, she fought very hard. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.
I mean that very sincerely. Now it is time for GTP to bind the wounds of division, have to get together. To all Geeks and Nerds and Bronies across this site, I say it is time for us to come together as one united people.
It is time. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be Funniest for all GTPers, and this is so important to me. For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I'm reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so that we can work together and unify our great website.
As I've said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign but rather an incredible and great movement, made up of millions of hard-working men and women who love their website and want a better, brighter future for themselves and for their family.
It is a movement comprised of GTPers from all races, religions, backgrounds, and beliefs, who want and expect our staff to serve the people -- and serve the people it will.
Working together, we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our site and renewing the GTP dream. I've spent my entire life in funny, looking at the untapped potential in projects and in people all over the world.
That is now what I want to do for our country. Tremendous potential. I've gotten to know our site so well. Tremendous potential. It is going to be a beautiful thing. Every single GTPer will have the opportunity to realize his or her fullest potential.
The forgotten men and women of our website will be forgotten no longer.

Thanks so much for thread of the year guys!!! Glad you enjoyed following along our lemon flavoured adventures! :D

As you may have read recently, we're already getting ready to do it all again! May 2019... There's still spots available so if you're interested in getting involved, flick me a message! :sly:

Do you have to have premium membership to qualify for these? And it's probably just me, but I don't recall seeing the polls anywhere.
Either way, congratulations to the winners! :D

Nope, not just for premium members.

The poll are up in the Rumble Strip.

Thank you everyone, what a nice way to return from an internet break over the holidays! I dedicate the Quote of the Year award to Anastasia Bryzgalova who was the main reason I was watching the Olympic curling in the first place!

It is also a great honour to share the Most Knowledgeable award within such great company here at GTPlanet and so a heartfelt thanks to all who voted!
