Yo, what's with the 'tude? 3 guesses in a row, all the same... You're like the cop who writes a guy a ticket for not stopping completely at 3AM on a country road where you can see for a mile in all directions and it's obvious nobody's coming...

Not to mention you guessed the same thing as the two people above you, kind of clueless are you?

yeah, it was In the Heat of the Night, and in the interest of fairness to the game, it's Solid's turn, since he gave his answer and waited for confirmation instead of directly assuming he was right.

Dude, it had been an hour and a half, for the record, before I posted Naked, and you were offline, and there were three consecutive guesses of In the Heat of the Night. You gonna be a dick, too? Guess I'm asking for thread consensus here, do we want to establish a timeframe for waiting for confirmation when it's painfully obvious that a correct answer has been given? Yes, sorry, I know you're online a lot Tom Servo, but there have been instances in the past where it's been a long time waiting to get a confirmation, and perhaps I'm an uppity whippersnapper or a radical, but I'm just trying to act in the best interest of the thread here, no offense intended.

So who's turn is it, Breakpoint, MintBerryCrunch or Solid Lifters? If I'm going to be DQ'd for jumping the gun, Mintberry was the first after me to guess right, so would get priority over Solid... Just keep it moving here.

Okay, I'll show you exactly what I saw:

I log on after an hour (and a half) of logging off... [maybe this should be the right time to say it has sometimes been days beftween a correct guess and a confirmation]; and I see the post by jeffgoddin, which although correct, is also directly assuming it's correct, jumping the gun and not awaiting confirmation. After that post there's the one by Mintberrycrunch, which only says "Damn I missed this one" and some other stuff... there's no mention of the movie there. And after that one there's Solid Lifter's post, mentioning the movie, apparently awaiting confirmation and moving on.

It's clear enough to me, I'd say it's Solid's turn.

@breakpoint: remember when you used to whine because you couldn't get any of them?
 
It's Breakpoint's turn. JeffG should have played by the rules but that doesn't mean BP needs to be punished for it.

Wasn't me, I've never had a problem getting them. Usually its myself or TB that guess most of them. I remember seeing you whine about anything in the thread though.


I'll pass it on to you Solid, you should have the go since you guessed the movie that was posted and didn't jump ahead. I have a massive hangover and can't stand to look at the screen much longer.

Can someone tell me where it says you must wait for confirmation?
Seems to me people are pulling these "rules" out of no where.

EDIT: Oh, and I didn't make this post just to say that, I was also thinking the Truman Show, but other than that I have no idea.
 
It would be a rule that I wouldn't think would need to be outlined, it's more of a common sense or courtesy rule.

Sorry I could give two ***** about other peoples life just because of what they do for a living, I'm not in to the gossip and total BS that is in the news every day about "celebs", who gives a ****. Worry about jobs, and helping the truly needed etc. etc.

I like this thread... a hardly every have a chance because I don't know any actors because I don't care, actors aren't special like most people put them up on a pole and know all about them. Neither have I watched movies that aren't in my interest range, like the other one about football or what have you, 80 percent of the sceens put up I have no clue what the movie is or even who the people that are in the pictures. Especially like the ones with french writing and all that jazz, I only speak english and a good bit of german, so most of the time I am so lost its unreal. And it takes some people forever to give hints, days sometimes....

Maybe we should develop a set of rules.
That way this won't happen again. But if someone can 100% confirm they are correct, there should be no reason to wait. He guessed first, and he was correct, so even if he did jump the gun on going next, there is nothing that says he should have to forfeit his turn.

Either way, IDC, I'll come back to this thread in a week and if this crap hasn't cleared itself up I guess I'll find other ways to amuse myself on the internet.

Are you really that worried about it? I never "whined", so I can't say I have no clue what movie this is, or I don't know any of these actors etc? How is that "whining". What you are doing is whining. You put this much effort into this? Put the same effort in to your relationships and you wouldn't be living back with your mom.....

So, we made the rule you have to wait. 24 hours until you PM them. 24 hours after that, then you can go. This was a 'general' rule that worked, so that's the rule.

Also, you're not allowed to research on the net. NO CHEATING! Already, we have people admitting to cheating. I NEVER cheat. That's why I don't win a lot. Plus, I stopped playing for over a year, too. I got bored with the game, so I left.

If you can handle these rules we've set, leave. Or, ask for a discussion to have the rules changed.

Regarding his no searching rule, however, I can't say I necessarily agree with that one. Personally, I think part of the fun is researching to see if you can figure it out based on the image or clues. But that's just me.

Play how you'd like, just respect the other players. There's no need for attacks, smack talking, bragging or berating.
 
I'd say it's still Solid's go with the submarine mounted satellite dish laser sea movie...unfortunately googling this didn't get me anywhere.

I also agree with the confirmation of answer etiquette.
