Just because they've done something in the past, doesn't mean it will always be like that in the future.
Once Old Biff is gone, grab the Almanac anyway that you can.

Fast food restaurants are very common, that doesnt mean they are any good.
I bet when the useless global ranks are implemented, and they realise that they are not that important, then the typical complaining brigade will move on and complain about something else, we will see.
Should wait for another 5 months before mentioning this.
Because just one little thing isn't enough. Online needs fleshing out and just one small part isn't going to cut it.
I suppose we will find out on Thursday when the current time trials expire.
Do you expect an update then? Or do you class fresh seasonals as "not abandoned"?
Time trials/seasonals are expected to continue, but that doesn't mean that they're still developing features and content for GT6. Knocking together some time trials has to be about ten minutes work for whoever is the unluckiest intern that week.
Yes they are a little late, but gt5 was late. They are always late.
I just don't understand the amount of pessimism around here.

And it is unacceptable IMO with this Huge Marketing campaign ! InsteAd of wasting money and time on this they should just work and do what they told as a adult !Yes they are a little late, but gt5 was late. They are always late.

Just because someone keeps doing a bad thing doesn't mean it grows to be acceptable. The pessimism comes from PD once being an industry wide influence and setting the bar for quality, to falling behind the trend and expected levels of quality by a measure of several years. There are now Indie and community teams that are doing a better job.
Abandoned - having been deserted or left. Fresh seasonals will indicate GT6 is not abandoned.
Did I say anything about an update?
How many rabbits have you pulled out of your hat today?
As an indie dev finishing up a degree, posts & comments like these scare the crap out of me.
But don't worry, I see you're busy playing around with words instead of having actual conversations with people. If you'd like to actually discuss what we can deduce about PDs commitment to ongoing support of GT6, that would be cool.
As an indie dev finishing up a degree, posts & comments like these scare the crap out of me. The fact that people can be so short sighted, compulsive, and arrogant blows me away. The game has been out for four months, there have been FREE updates since launch, they are making the choice to extend GT5 just a bit longer to let poeple enjoy it before moving on to GT6, and they are doubtlessly getting pushed by sony to release GT7 in time to beat the xbox switching over to DirectX12.
Having ~150 people working on three full fledged AAA titles at the same time is an uncfathomable amount of work.
Yes, the news has been slow, Yes, there is some content that has yet to be released, but they are putting out constant micro-updates. When the GT5 servers shut down, the content will become much more regular.
The engine for redering in GT6 is much more powerful than the ps3 can handle at full settings, but much like a PC game, when put on a more powerful system, it can run with 16XMSAA, full SSAO, Volumetric particles, Full realtime tesselation (which it already has btw), more concurrent physics calculations, everything.
Is this information or just wishful thinking? Do you have any reasons to believe that this is so? What resources will shutting down the GT5 servers allow PD to utilise that will affect the amount of content they can produce?
I don't even have Live, and Forza 2 is basically prehistoric. It's seven years old and should be inferior to a modern racing game in every single way.
The amount of flagrant misinformation being thrown around like it is gospel is really disheartening

PS: For all of the people saying that work on GT7 is slowing down the work on GT6, it is possible but highly unlikely. The engine that they created for GT6 is a completely new rendering tech they made in-house. It is most liekly a modular dev kit, much like the new Fox, Crytech, Snowdrop, and UDK4 engines have been built. While having massive potential rendering capability, the fidelity of any one of a thousand post processes can be toned down or removed entirely. The other advantage of using this kind of development environment comes in the production of art assets. The models they are creating for GT7 will most likely easily be used in GT6 and vice versa. Having a higher and slightly lower polly model of a car would not be difficult.

This talk about FM2... Makes me wish I had it. Heard it was the best FM game yet, and it reminds me of FM1 (a game I loved so much). I also miss its rock songs too![]()
Not sure about FM5, but Horizon is a pretty good game. It's basically a arcade-style game where you just relax and cruise. Then the other side you race on track and in street races. Let's just say, its a fun game.I 'had' an XBOX 360 and I liked Forza 4 a lot. I haven't played 5 or Horizon.
