I won it with the R92CP with a stage 3 turbo, a 1080 hp beast ! However, when the C9 and Minolta were in the race, the best I did was second, however I got lucky and didn't race against them, so I easily won.

I used to race a lot this one, to get some nice helmets and money.
Try the Audi R8 (the silver one, dont remember the team now) or the Peugeot 905, you cant loose with those two, Pescarolo is a good choice too.
The ones with open cockpit are the best to race there, on the cockpit camera.

I used the Minolta. Took me two tries, but I was all over the grass on the first attempt. I used a controller. Dpad, not sticks.

I used the Mazda 787B Stealth Model. Max out the tune on whichever car you choose.

Suzuki Escudo and I destroyed every car in there, Sauber and Minolta. It took me 4 minutes to go from last to first place.

The tuned Escudo I have if by far the best car for any races in my book. X1 ? No need !

Just won it using the Suzuki Escudo. Monsters the whole track except the back straight (Downforce full, Racing Softs).

I did have a Toyota 7 holding up the Minolta and an R89C up until the straight though, but I had taken the lead by Fuchsrohre, and only lost it once at Kallenhard.

Fairly easy win, provided you lengthen 6th gear a tad for the straight, the Minolta took 5 seconds out of my lead just from the straight.

Its actually one of my faves. I race it all the time although not the 24hr circuit version. 90% of the track is the same as what im used to though the trouble is im not used to racing it in a car anywhere near that fast nor MR drivetrains with wide chassis

Touring cars are great there and most German cars and muscle cars but the track is so narrow and at those kinds of speeds any contact with the grass whatsoever practically ends your chances of winning

Agree 100% with all you say. I have got up to 3rd place using a heavy detuned Minolta - but my God what an insane ride. Nerve wracking. D

Edit ... now I have an Escudo ... I'll give it a try

It's definitely tough, I eventually did it with the Minolta. 1,000+ HP covers up a lot of mistakes.

Again the car and the Will27 set up did me proud, no power mods but the set up made the fat oil burner into a Furai level handling car.
